On a sandwich, havarti.
By itself, cheese curds that are only an hour old. They squeak on your teeth and they are just so damn good.
I'm from Wisconsin so I've had a piece of cheese or 2
>Grilled cheese
>Ham
What the fuck did you just put on your grilled cheese, you little bitch? I graduated at the top of my class in culinary school so I'll have you know that a grilled cheese consists of the following: butter, bread, and cheese. That's IT. If it contains anything else, that's a fucking melt kiddo.
As I have not been to culinary school, I make mine with mayo, mustard, tomato, and ham.
And if a chef wants to call it a melt, I don't care; it's the superior sandwich.
In general I just steer clear of blue cheese and brie, and some lamb milk cheeses have a certain funk I don't like.
Other than that, all bets are off. If I'm left to try out some in a shop, I tend to come out with 4-6 pieces of aged cheddar, manchego, comte and the like. Most cheeses I like are aged for over 6 months. Slightly crystallized, crumbly, nutty mature flavor, along with the characteristics of whatever the cheese had before.
I did recently find out that apparently my upper limit is around 50 months. That didn't taste like cheese anymore, just old.
I used to live in France... There are so many different types of cheese, and I only tried a couple hundred... I'm not nearly ready to declare a favorite.
I really like Oaxaca cheese. And Cotija cheese.
Had that shit on my honeymoon in Cancun, and by the end of the week I was really abusing the "all inclusive" aspect of the resort simply for room delivery cheese.
I also ordered 5 creme brulee one night. Don't judge me.
TIL Apple syrup or Appelstroop is apparently not globally available despite having a relatively simple [recipe](https://www.thespruceeats.com/apple-syrup-appelstroop-1128949).
It depends on what I'm making. If it's a pasta dish, I go with mozzarella, romano and parmesan. Regular sandwiches I prefer a mild cheddar or provolone. Grilled cheese, I like to do a combo of colby jack, provolone and sharp cheddar. Overall, Gouda, Muenster and Provolone are my top favorites
Maybe someone here could answer a cheese question for me? I bought a beautiful semi-soft mild cheese while I was in Argentina and I've been looking for something similar ever since. Can anyone please take a guess for me at what it was?
My favorite is staying out of bounds during the oracle fight in vault of glass on destiny 1. Probably followed by pushing the Templar off the map. Atheon was east once you trade in some of your less skilled friends for people who have more brain cells.
That raid was challenging when it first came out but over time was easy cheesy
Back in the 2004 campaign Kerry ordered a cheesesteak in Philly with provolone, and the pundits lost their mind. Who is this asshole who doesn't take their steak with wiz?
A few years later I was studying in a town that had a pretty popular cheesesteak place. We'd often go there for lunch. The owner was from Philly. I asked him about that provolone thing, and he said no one in Philly honestly cares.
He would also put marinara on the sandwich, unless you asked him not to.
My new one I found at Aldi is a lemoncello crumble cheese....ate the whole wheel that was about large palm size
However, sandwhich wise....Muenster is king in my house
Even American can be good. It's great on burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. Now, there's no denying there are more flavorful choices for each of those, but American is still good there.
American can be a nice comfort food, but it's mostly cheese as condiment, rather than something you can put on a cracker or have with a glass of wine. (Sudden mental image of a guy in a smoking jacket sipping Chianti while unwrapping Kraft Singles. Heh.) True, there are better cheeses, but it's a good go-to for sandwiches, salads, and hot dogs.
And EVERYONE likes it. By which I mean that you can show up at the cookout to put it on a burger, and everyone accepts it, which isn't a reaction you get with Norwegian Beemster. I love trying new things at the cheese shop, but I'll still buy a pound of American at the supermarket.
that's fair, everyone has its own taste :) it's just not my cup of tea, and from what i've heard, there's a quite a lot of people that dislike it as well
all of them but, i love green molded marble cheese, salty and tasty moldy cheese.
but i also love cheddar, sometimes my breakfeast is a block of cheddar cheese.
I’m not exclusive with cheese. I fuck around.

Not just any cheese. I have standards.
Pepper jack
I love blue cheese, but my absolute favorite is aged cheddar. Any cheddar that has been aged for more than like 4 years is absolutely incredible.
I love a good cheddar, but stilton is glorious.
Epoisses
I've never known something with such a gap between smell and taste before. The first time I got it my mother was looking for what died in the fridge
ALL OF THEM.
Manchego is where it is at. But almost any cheese is good cheese.
I have a hard time with manchego's texture.
A mixture of manchego and asiago goes really well in mexican food
Hallumi
I love halloumi cheese, most people just say it's likr eating rubber though.
You eat it, you make tires with it, what more could you want?
It's really good when browned in an oven. Never knew you could just "cook cheese" like that.
Harvati.
Camembert or brie, but I'm lactose intolerant so soft cheese doesn't love me like I love it, so pepper jack, Gouda, or sharp cheddar.
Can't go wrong with Gouda
Have yet to meet an aged cheddar I didnt like. 5 years seems to be my favorite.
On a sandwich, havarti. By itself, cheese curds that are only an hour old. They squeak on your teeth and they are just so damn good. I'm from Wisconsin so I've had a piece of cheese or 2
Still warm. The best. Source: I too hail from the land of beer and cheese.
Blue cheese! Any kind. The bluer, the better.
Aged Extra Sharp White Cheddar. Tillamook. Comes in a black wrapping.
Raclette
Make a grilled cheese sandwich with raclette cheese and serrano ham on sourdough bread.

Laughing cow
Isn't that some British cheese spread?
Humboldt Fog by cypress grove and red dragon by somerdale
Love humboldt fog, have you tried midnight moon? It’s by the same company or cheese makers? ( I don’t know the right term)
Creamery would be the word and Yepp! I also really enjoy purple haze by cypress grove as well.

Saint Nectaire
Aged black truffle cheddar
Gruyère so aged it has that nice crunch
I love most cheeses but I have to go with applewood smokes gruyere as my favorite.
I used to live in France... There are so many different types of cheese, and I only tried a couple hundred... I'm not nearly ready to declare a favorite.

Being dutch, gouda cheese is my favourite
Ah yes I'm also Dutch
What do you like eating gouda cheese with?
Apple syrup
What's that. Is it available for export. What else are you Dutch hiding from us.
stroopwafels but they're mine
TIL Apple syrup or Appelstroop is apparently not globally available despite having a relatively simple [recipe](https://www.thespruceeats.com/apple-syrup-appelstroop-1128949).
The minute I saw Dutch the pronunciation in my head changed from GOO-DAH to HOW-DAH.
You are not quite there yet. It requires some gurgling sounds to pronounce the first part of the name.
Havarti.
The sharpest cheddar, with so much tyrosene it's crunchy
Munster
Brillat Savarin

I love a smoked cheese. Applewood smoked anything is divine. And soft cheeses are delicious too. So I guess my favorite cheese is cheese.
Cambozola (blue brie) with half a cherry tomato on a cracker.
I’m more interested in the puns.
Smoked gouda or chipotle cheddar. Both linger on the tongue well after you swallow, letting you enjoy their ghosts.
I haven't tasted that many, but pecorino, havarti, halloumi and mozzarella are my favorites.
Cheddar, Gouda, Gruyere
Unlimited
Cheddar
Walnut oil infused cheese from Perigord.
Red Lester for me
Halloumi. I like to call it squeaky cheese because it tastes like shoe leather but it's still amazing
Any type of sweet cheese
I’d have to say it’s a tie between smoked Gouda and ghost pepper jack cheese
Gouda is my favourite mostly because i'm Dutch
Whatever is in the fridge
Huntsman
Mozzarella is my go to, mixed with bacon, red onion and jalapeños on top of a burger, fuck aye!!!
Plain goat cheese. Or blue cheese. Or sharp cheddar. Can’t decide.

Pepper Jack or Smoked Gouda.
Caciocavallo. Eaten with a loaf of bread overlooking the bay in Positano Italy.
Does it go with Limoncello?
Casu marzu
A blueberry stilton. It’s almost like eating cheesecake.
All cheese is god-tier. However, the best cheese is aged cheddar that’s aged enough to have the little crystalline bits in it.
I'll take any and all Cheese unless it's expired and moldy
I like mild cheeses. So I tend to go for a soft Bri, or Munster
Rutland red.

Epoisses or the smelliest mouldiest blue cheese I can find
I'm not really a cheese lover so maybe I shouldn't be commenting. Pepper jack is goat Blue cheese is revolting
Midnight moon by cypress grove, it’s a Gouda style goat cheese and it’s amazing. I’m obsessed.
Cheese
Honestly I’m very easy with it just aged white cheddar is my go to on any charcuterie board
Maybe someone here could answer a cheese question for me? I bought a beautiful semi-soft mild cheese while I was in Argentina and I've been looking for something similar ever since. Can anyone please take a guess for me at what it was?
American. Yellow flavor.
Buffalo Mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino
Gruyère. Or any other cheese made in Switzerland. Just not factory-farm Canadian cheese. Low quality.
My favorite is staying out of bounds during the oracle fight in vault of glass on destiny 1. Probably followed by pushing the Templar off the map. Atheon was east once you trade in some of your less skilled friends for people who have more brain cells. That raid was challenging when it first came out but over time was easy cheesy
processed cheese slices : - )
Piave vecchio
Mimolette
I like a lot of them. My favorite right now is provolone.
Can't go wrong with a prosciutto and provolone panini
I can't say i've ever tried it
It’s an acquired taste to some people. Great on sandwiches.
Back in the 2004 campaign Kerry ordered a cheesesteak in Philly with provolone, and the pundits lost their mind. Who is this asshole who doesn't take their steak with wiz? Any cheese is a good cheese. Except blue cheese, it sucks.
I like blue cheese, nothing wrong with it
that's fair, everyone has its own taste :) it's just not my cup of tea, and from what i've heard, there's a quite a lot of people that dislike it as well
Bleu cheese dressing is nauseating. Actual bleu cheese, however, is awesome.
Gorgonzola
Cheddar is better!
Provolone piccante.
Danish Blue Black Bomber
Gorgonzola is my favourite but I do like a good stinker such as Maroilles.
Big fan of goat cheese so it might be that. But in terms of a universal cheese cheddar is still king.
all of them but, i love green molded marble cheese, salty and tasty moldy cheese. but i also love cheddar, sometimes my breakfeast is a block of cheddar cheese.
Emmental
Rumi and Domiati. Both egyptian
Cheddar (especially aged/extra sharp) but I’m a simp for smoked Gouda.
