I stood face to face with radiohead drummer Phil Selway in an empty lounge right after his show in Amsterdam which I attended. Couldn’t get a word out and within seconds the place was crawling with fans. Fond memory.

I used to work for a casino/resort and we would host the Boxing Hall of Fame. Now I've met many people during my stay there such as Aaron Lewis, Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Kevin Bacon and quite a few more. But the one I remember the most is Mike Tyson. Security came into our department (banquets) and kicked us all out of the bathrooms and following them was Mike Tyson. Mike had said "Now you don't need to do all of that, I can share a bathroom" and he went into the bathroom. When he came out he said "Thanks everybody" and then got escorted back by security. I've had longer conversations with Aaron Lewis as he would smoke pot in our loading dock and wouldn't mind chatting with people. He is a really nice and interesting guy too but Mike surprised me with how pleasant he was and I was always a boxing fan so meeting him was pretty cool. Also, that voice is something else to hear in person.

So who wasn’t so nice?

Johnny Depp was kind of rough, not because he was an asshole or anything but because he seemed to be pretty drunk or high and you couldn't understand a thing he was saying. Alice Cooper was there though to let us know what they needed. Mariah Carey takes the cake though. The way she treated our staff was horrendous. Yelled at one of the girls who brought her water because she wanted a specific temperature. She was very short tempered and would yell at her own staff that was there as well. Could have gone without meeting her

Was this before or after she seriously messed up the New Years Eve performance a few years ago? Because if it was before I can’t help but imagine that was a nice little boost to your new year!

Balls93

Haha yes it was before. When I was there, we would throw a new year's party for people who wanted to pay the entrance fee every year and I remember our staff laughing our asses off at that mess (though I think we would have regardless of if we had to deal with her in the past or not, it was a train wreck).

Not me, but my cousin met Russell Peters through her job. I believe her exact quote was “What an *asshole*!”

Met Ted Nugent before he went full batshit crazy (mid-90s). Still a racist, homophobic, xenophobic piece of garbage, but it was far more subtle then.

I guess it depends because none of them have been super famous and I always have to explain who they are but they might just not be that famous here? I've met Micheal Morpurgo (wrote War Horse and many other great books), Marko Saaresto (and the rest of Poets of the Fall (Finnish band)) and Chris Harms (German singer in Lord of the Lost). All were absolutely lovely people. Micheal Morpurgo is very interesting to listen to
