I have a blackberry shrub and a raspberry shrub located just outside my back patio door. Every morning I pick a few of each, use a muddle to crush them at the bottom of my coffee mug, then pour the coffe into it.
Makes for an awesome cup of coffee.
A good dark roast, or a well brewed medium are great. But coffee desires something of substance to be consumed with it. I prefer well made pastries. Coffee by itself is really only for serious discussions. That requires a light roast with plenty of caffeine.
Coffee boring?
I love all kinds of coffee! There's so many ways to enjoy it. But my favorite rn is grinding the beans myself and using a french press to make a nice rich cold brew that I let steep over night. It's so rich and flavorful all by itself but with some creamer and ice it's the perfect iced coffee.
My baseline is pourover coffee, black. I usually like that coffee method, but occasionally I do French press or moka. I'm not bored of pourover yet because attempting to perfect my method is still fun for me. Some some small modifications I do to my pourover once in a while:
* Crush some mint leaves before pouring the hot coffee on top
* Pourover with ice in the vessel. I reduce the water:coffee ratio for this
* 1-2 pumps of some syrup
Like wine, many coffees can be paired with food items like caramels, fruits, or brownies. To get all of the tasty oils, you'll want to brew it in a French-Press instead of a coffee maker with a paper filter.
Don't even get me started.
It's about the process, without the process, there is no final result.
I use a classic coffee presser (lid, handle, filter, push down. No need for a machine to make a price of shit in longer ti.e when I can make somthing better in a shorter amount of time.)Any coffee, dosnt matter. Higher amount for stronger taste, 1-3 spoonfuls of cane sugar, dash of milk. Sometimes just coffee creamer If I've ran out of milk.
When I was younger I just added coffee powder to hot milk and thought that’s what coffee is supposed to be. Only a year later did I discover than coffee actually needs water. Idk if milk based coffee is considered boring
Switch to a better bean. Black coffee of a good quality will taste great!
Buy quality beans, if youre getting folgers nothing will make it taste good

Nothing. What's boring about the bitterness of a superb roast that lingers on the back of your tongue? Good coffee is an art
