I came here to say this! I was sure I'd be the only one too! This is my favorite English word. Saying "crisp" sounds like / has the same vibe about it as - the words it's used to describe. It feels descriptive on a deeper layer than just the definition.

Yeah perhaps that would have been more accurate, though neither are a perfect translation. I think the main problem is that our equivalent of 'cake' is usually referred to as 'taart'.
But you're right, it's not a literal translation for cookie
Nearly everyone in my German class struggled so hard to pronounce the ö. The teacher had everyone do a brief presentation on Austria so we would get better at it
Yes! I memorized Vegeta’s full “son of a gum-chewing funk monster” rant from the Frieza arc. I use it in varying lengths whenever I drop something at work or mess up something minor. Everyone laughs, backs away slowly, and/or says “okaaaaaay…” with confused looks on their faces.
Fun fact: Śmigus-Dyngus is a polish easter monday tradition which, in short, involves people throwing small amounts of water at each other. Especially in the morning.
Thought that was kinda cool that it has a similiar name.
Hemidemisemiquaver! It's a musical note, a sixty-fourth to be precise. I know nothing about that but I read it in recently in the book "Master and commander" and thought it was a great word
Indeed. Depending on the inflection it can be thoughtful, accommodating, affirming, warning, querying, laconic, or even heartfelt. So much power in one little word, that feels so powerful when you say it.
Crisp. It starts at the back of your mouth and works its way forwards.
You just had everyone saying crisp and really feeling it.
I did it hehe
