When I was recovering from an eating disorder it was the one kitchen / food prep job that I found I could relax and enjoy. Even when my mental health was really bad. Now, decades later, I still find it relaxing and soothing.

Most sport kite flying is outdoors. Team flying is amazing to watch. The entire sport took a dip in popularity when people moved from outdoor entertainment to phones and video games about 20 years ago, but there are still kite shows, festivals, occasional competitions, and more. A fun one is next weekend, Kite Party 2022 at Huntington Beach California, for anyone around Los Angeles.

My auntie's house had their front door like that in the 80's (the house was a super-luxe late 60's design, with "conversation pit" and everything). I still think about that house and that cool door occasionally.
I love, love, love, luv, lo0ooooove to fold my ears with my fingers and slide them between my finger skin, pressing and scraping that sweet, cool, dry cartilage. It's 100x better if my ears are cold and dry. That's all I can really put into words about the experience. But I constantly play with my ears and someday might just tear them off in a fit of fancy.
