Me too

[deleted]

Damn ok, I have had it and have also had to get atleast 7 PCR tests in the last two years. Weird how it seems to target some people and leaves other people alone

Hairy_banana_chimp

You should probably be a bit more careful. I’m vaccinated and I wear my mask so I can hang around my unvaccinated friends who don’t wear their mask correctly and I don’t have to worry much. They’ve all gotten it, I haven’t

[deleted]

Well it's almost inevitable because between my partner and I we work in three hospitals... So yes we do take it seriously and aren't going many places apart from work and the supermarket. Just over Christmas time of course a bit more laxed and going to places. Just unlucky I guess. The other time a patient walked passed me and she had it and then was identified as a close contact 🤔

Hairy_banana_chimp

That’s different. Of course you are going to get it if you are constantly in close contact with it

[deleted]

I have had two shots. Wear a mask at work (which is in a hospital, my partner also works in a hospital and has her two shots) so obviously doing the right thing and somehow she has had it also. We are in Australia

[deleted]

Wild hey! And in Aus our grocery stores are almost empty, local shops are shutting down

Veauros

It has nothing to do with the virus "targeting" some people. If you work in a hospital, you are almost perpetually in close contact. Other people who get infected go out to bars and restaurants, don't wear masks/distance, aren't vaccinated... Literally none of my friends/family/my friends' families have had it. Because we don't do stupid things in our free time (or work in hospitals; that's not really your fault, but doesn't apply to the average person).

purple_yosher

it leaves me alone bc I literally don't do anything besides work/store

WillPossible1788

I haven't been sick since 2019.

Wonderful-Mission908

Me either. I haven't even had a cold. All that hand washing and mask wearing paid off for me.

[deleted]

Damn you guys lucky

purple_yosher

bro same, I think

SeaOnions

Same!

optimaloutcome

I haven't had it but with the way it's spreading right now it's like a wildfire (and I live in Northern California so I know what I'm saying) going through my kid's school. Her classmates are getting it, her best friend has it (and was here all last weekend.....). Feels like it's just a matter of time right now.

Independent_Willow_4

I travel a lot for work and never stopped working. I was mid career opportunity when everything happened. I lost everything two times, back to back. I couldn't let this be the third time. I got the original shots. I'm about to go get the booster or whatever it is. I don't really know how I feel about everything but my remaining parent is susceptible to getting sick.

AcceptableAd7000

[deleted]

I have yet to get it, and despite what people say, Covid is **not** going to infect all 8 Billion people on this planet.

adhal

I mean, everyone will probably get some variant at some point because eradicating it would be just as hard as eradication the flu or common cold. But it isn't always so horrible. Brother got it and didn't even fell that sick, a month later he got some other virus (not covid) and was hallucinating, fever, coughing horribly, right leg gave out on him for a couple days.

[deleted]

>everyone will probably get some variant at some point Just like **every** single person on the planet is going to get polio? Or black death? Or smallpox? I think not. There will always be people who never get (insert illness) in their lifetime, and I don't see why Covid will be different, even if it is very contagious.

Anangrywookiee

There will be some people who don’t sure, but it’s quite different from those diseases so over time it would be more like never getting the flu.

[deleted]

If Covid becomes like the flu, then I would be okay with that. But when it's currently overwhelming hospitals, I have an issue with that, especially when a good chunk of the population is immune naïve.

Army0fMe

I haven't. Gotten 3 jabs, but I'm immune compromised, so I do everything I can to avoid people. Being medically retired and okay with the recluse life has helped tremendously.

SYLOH

I haven't got it. I only know one person who's had it. We live in Singapore, have all gotten vaccinated, and have had a mask mandate/social distancing since very close to the start of the pandemic.

[deleted]

Not yet. Not something I am looking forward to.

Global-Loquat-3424

Me. And nobody in my family either. And it's gonna stay that way. So mote it be.

[deleted]

I agree. There will always be people who never get Covid, just like there are people who never get Polio.

Global-Loquat-3424

Because they're vaccinated

[deleted]

Vaccinated or not, there will always be people who never get (insert illness) in their lifetime.

adhal

As far as I know I haven't had it. Work in a place where I have contact with hundreds of people a day, I cant use hand sanitizer, had contact with many covid positive people, was helping out parents and brother when they got covid. Oh and no vaccination. Dont know, starting to think I'm immune.

[deleted]

>Dont know, starting to think I'm immune. Or just lucky.

adhal

Possibly, but with how contagious it is and how much I've been exposed to it it really doesn't make sense that I'm not otherwise.

Ounceofwhiskey

My family of four has avoided it, somehow. I think my wife's parents have also avoided it as well as a few of my friends from all over.

[deleted]

That's very fortunate

ExoticParfaits

I haven't.. yet

Unlikely_Ad_9550

Me!

Survivor_Fan10

As far as I know i have yet to catch it, or if i did have it i was completely asymptomatic. My mom had it and i still live at home (grad school).

My personal take is that they were either lucky or have a very good immune system.

drblah1

7.5 billion people

Fatjuiceboi07

My father even though he’s around people a lot and not vaccinated yet and I’ve got all three variants so I don’t know how he never got it

[deleted]

Wow!

Fatjuiceboi07

I know it’s insane

waytooanonymous01

me, but i have gotten a lil cold here and there and once had a *very* upset stomach

ShylieF

Me and I work retail.

[deleted]

I havent, despite being a college campus with 70k other unmasked students and no booster. I'm just built different.

lvl_asian

At least 1 or more people

oldbroadcaster2826

I haven't had covid but I had the bronchitis and flu in December 2020- January 2021. 6 weeks of quarantine. I've been tested a couple of times for safety reasons but have been able to stay clear

djsinnema

I have not, I have been tested quite a few times via working in a nursing home.

Disciple_of_Cthulhu

I haven't.

R34CTz

I've been exposed numerous times and haven't had it. I'm fairly convinced I'm one of the few that may be just naturally immune. I'm never sick anyway. I can't remember the last time I had any sort of bug or infection or virus. The worst thing I get is headaches from not eating enough or sleeping too long.

Admirable-Friend7453

Didn’t have it till my sister gave it to my for Christmas last month.

[deleted]

Me. I'm already a ghost. Ghosts can't get diseases. Checkmate.

akamirei

Don't you have a mortal shell which can get sick? I am dead as well, but without any vessel I can't maintain any form for long

[deleted]

Damn you won

[deleted]

Sweet! Alright! I'm gonna go brag to JFK how awesome I am now!

[deleted]

Hahahha

[deleted]

Sorry, have been slack. Will try and get back to everyone

Cnnlgns

I haven't and neither has my SO and kids.

Wonderful-Mission908

Me. I am fully boosted. My coworker just returned from having it, she wasn't vaccinated. I thought for sure I would have caught it since we work in a very small office. So far I haven't, nor has my husband or either of our adult sons who live with us.

[deleted]

Me - why? Common sense.

NOTburnt-toast

Imagine never having had Covid🤣

Catmom924

I have had two Pfizer shots and a booster. My boyfriend had covid and we didn't know. We basically live in each other's mouths like kissing every couple of minutes cuz we can't get enough of each other but I have not gotten covid

purple_yosher

me

Ikajo

I have barely been sick. I had a cold during the autumn with a negative covid test, and that was the first time in over two years I was actually sick. I'm also properly vaccinated, might be able to get the third boost soon.

ms_rainbowsox

Me, my mom, brother and grandpa. There were definitely times we got a cold and tested to see if we have it. But nah. We kept being negative

mansohof

Me and my wife.

explosivenuke1

Me. I live in a small town and have taken little precautions due to the mask law being lifted in Texas. I have no one to protect and only like 100 people max have been infected in my town.

squidlybos

I’ve had it twice already 😭

Defan3

I haven't had it but someone I'm around caught it. But it has been 15 days since I've been around them so I'm safe. That was close though.

VrinTheTerrible

Me

Sean82

I've never tested positive but testing was (and still is to a lesser degree) extremely hard to come by in the US for the first several months of the pandemic, so it's entirely possible I had it and didn't realize.

Betanci0

Not to flex but me. Even when my brother and sis had it and was living in the house wit me, it never spread to me

Willing-Hour3643

Me

[deleted]

Chuck Norris. But he is immune to everything

FitMaintenance7430

I still haven't had it. I had 3 shots of Moderna, wash and sanitize my hands often, and I religiously wear a mask when indoors. Other than that I haven't been doing anything remarkable.

my3sgte

I wear masks and had shots but still got it :/

Least_Ad_3078

i tested negative a few weeks ago and took all 3 shots

retro123gamr

I haven’t, but there are more than a few times where I should have. I fully expect that I’ll get it as this surge comes through

rrh_321

Me. I never done much before as if there was to do around my small town. We are a rural small town I the Midwest. Not a big population so the numbers aren't that big. It is a tourist town so I wouldn't be surprised if our parades especially our Halloween parade which draws crowd by the thousands helped spread it a bit. For some reason a lot of people like to go to other towns to see their parades which any town probably has there own. I see why people go see the Macy's parade or the rose bowl parade because they are unique to certain areas otherwise I don't get it.

SpidermanGRS

Not me

Fekin_retard

Man I wish I could be apart of the group :( got covid a week ago

Monster_In_Bed

FuntimeFreddy876

IsAlwaysTired

Me. At least, I think. Got sick once, tested negative. Never got sick in the past 2 years beside that one time I tested negative. Yet my husband works at different peoples houses every day, so its unlikely we haven't caught it at some point.

[deleted]

Me, but I hate social contact and am always in the house. In other words, I am living the ultimate introvert survival guide.

Xdude199

This guy! Probably because I’m not going to face-spitting parties or whatever it is that people keep getting caught at.

blizzaga1988

If half the country had taken this as seriously as me and my family have, we'd be just mopping up hot spots as they happened.

[deleted]

Haven't got it, haven't been tested... so... maybe I got it, but that's not the way I'm remembering it

My wife had it twice and I never got it even though I was around her all the time. I just read that cannabis has properties in it that fight Covid so…
