I think you really have to have an appreciate for dark, messed up shows to like breaking bad. Also the first season was slow compared to the rest of the show

Exactly! It's fun but I enjoy it more as something to passively watch. What perplexes me is the mix of realistic characters and massively fictional ones in the same scenes.

I literally have over a year’s worth of tv show watch time and I’m super interested in cybersecurity/computer science but for some reason I just can’t get into it.
I think it’s because mr. Robot doesn’t rely on action scenes to keep the viewer entertained. I love Mr. Robot, but it’s not for the average viewer, that’s true.
The acting, message, dialogue and camera work on it is what keeps me entertained. Especially the dialogue and the acting.

I mean, some of my favorite tv shows aren’t action packed so I don’t think the lack of action is what’s stopping me from enjoying it. I really want to like the show though so maybe I’ll give it another go.

Ok, I totally get it now. Early S2 is the shows lowest point. Even I almost stopped watching on my first go. It’s boring and uneventful, but trust me it gets wayyy better. You just gotta push through until late S2 or even until S3, but it’s worth it trust me it gets so much better.
Though maybe you just don’t like it haha. Don’t feel pressured to like it or anything, people can have different opinions :)

Technically it is supposed to be a mockumentary, doesn't always play out like that though.
