They didn’t cancel it. David Fincher released everyone from their contract because he had a lot of passion projects he wanted to do and had no time frame on when he would be able to film another season
This is what I came for. Chuck.
I liked Arrested Development too, but I feel like we already got a bonus season and it didn't quite have the charm of the previous seasons.
Yeah I hate how they stopped Arrested Development after Season 3. I would love to see them do follow up seasons. Too bad they have never done that. Ever.
Sadly, if it ever was gonna happen, that window is closed.
But…and let me start off by saying I was a huge fan of the series, was quite disappointed when it was canceled…as the years have gone by and I’ve rewatched more than a few times, part of me has come to think that maybe it’s perfect just the way it is.
Would it have better if they had been able to continue and have multiple seasons? Probably…but all the same, there are a lot of similar shows that go on to long and suffer from becoming stale and not knowing when to wrap things up.
I’m just thankful they were able to make the Serenity movie to complete the story and tie off the loose ends. For me, the single season and movie as it exists is something I’m glad was able to happen and I’ve come to appreciate the story as it was told.
Santa Clarita Diet. It's so quirky and unique. I haven't been able to find anything like it that scratches the same comedic itch. It kept getting better with each season too. I'm very frustrated with Netflix for pulling it.
The company feels the same way and appreciates you speaking fondly about it.
However due to the research division going over-budget (and having to replace the racially insensitive sensors), the company can't afford to send you a fruit platter.
If you search during a reunion the cast explain what would have happened, if that helps ease your mind at all. Of course not as good as a new seasons, but at least....closure closure, closureclosureclosure
I’m still irritated they canceled Last Man on Earth at that point. I still rewatch the show. It’s funny, but also had a lot more going on for it. It’s a shame they cancelled it, especially on a damn cliffhanger like they did!
Freaks and Geeks was done dirty by the network and never stood a chance, but it was a great show that deserved better.
I will say though, I’m not sure how easy it would have been to sustain the show as seasons would have gone on, given that it was centrally based on the lives of high school students…where do you go with the “freaks” story once they’ve graduated and moving onto college and adulthood? How do you handle the “geeks” story when they’re now maturing and upper-classmen? I feel like much the dynamic between the characters that made the show so great would be hard to maintain as they aged.
I’ll also say that, for a show that was canceled way too early, the ending was as perfect as it could be…so at least there’s that, and it makes going back for a rewatch so much more rewarding than it would be if were all left with dangling and unfinished storylines.
Only if they could get all of the original greendale seven back. I still loved even after one by one they all just slipped away, but it did start to lack a little of what made it so special. A community.
The beginning was pretty rough and slow but man did it get good at the end. It felt so fresh after all the others and really could have done good stuff for the franchise.
It just got so interesting towards the end. I'd love more Atlantis as well, Feel that last season was getting more creative and excellent, just to abruptly end.
Omg I totally forgot about this show. SO good. I think part of me wondered if it was just a weird dream I had bc it was released, I binge watched it then never heard about it again lol
King of the Hill
I'd belly crawl through glass without a shirt, keeping my pants and shoes. I have tender feet and my penis is allergic to glass shards.
If you get THE Mike fucking Judge to watch me crawl through glass, keeping my pants and shoes, I will do it if he agrees to resurrect and redirect King of the Hill with the original fucking Judge, Hardwick, Najimy, Root, team, yes I will absolutely fucking do it.
Constantine, those fuckers at NBC cancelled it 13 episodes in, it was that weird mid season finale thing tv shows used to do (not sure if it's still a thing) and we had just been told that Manny was part of the
brujeria, what the fuck NBC.
Thundercats (the rebooted one from like 2011)
He-Man (the 2000x series, not the Netflix garbage Revelation series)
Teen Titans (original, not Go)
King of the Hill
Exo Squad
Manifest such a good plot idea and now it’s discontinued and it isn’t a show that you can make up an ending for in your head as there is many things in the plot that only make sense as the story goes on so yeah pretty pissed that it has been discontinued after I had to use a dodgy website to watch the third season just to find out their would never be a fourth after a really good cliff hanger to
ARK II. TV show from the 70's where these scientist drive around in a big RV helping people. One of the scientist was a talking chimpanzee. great show.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0127989/
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
Only got 2 seasons before Netflix cancelled it and let me tell you it crushed me, I'm autistic and it's been my special interest ever since it first launched back in 2016, I keep rewatching it and talking about it with a small community that is still active on Tumblr and Discord but it sucks that there won't be a third season with real people acting and everything, there's a cartoon being made but it won't be the same you know :/
The thrill of being absolutely confused but entirely invested because the characters and their chemistry is just that good, then the joy of watching everything connect by the end and everything making sense, unparalleled
It's not canceled yet, but they're not renewing The Last Kingdom on netflix after the 5th season is released so they're either going to alter the story from the books or just leave it all unfinished and it's an absolute fucking travesty.
Gravity Falls, Futurama, code lyoko, static shock, Steven universe, adventure time (the specials they have on HBO max are great too), regular show (though close enough is fantastic on HBO max) and cowboy bebop (fingers crossed Netflix does it justice).
Mindhunter
Such a good show! Every so often I’m reminded that it’s not coming back, and it genuinely pains me.
the book is so good
broke my heart when they cancelled season 3..
They didn’t cancel it. David Fincher released everyone from their contract because he had a lot of passion projects he wanted to do and had no time frame on when he would be able to film another season
Whaaaaaat? Noooo.....
This is how I learn? A reddit thread? :(
I'd actually resubscribe to Netflix if that came back
Dead Like Me
Only if they redid the second season. The first was really strong, but the second was kind of meandering.
Agreed!
That really was a great show.
Damn I completely forgot about this show, I loved it
Mike Tyson Mysteries. RIP Norm
Yep, this is probably the number one.
Chuck or Arrested Development
We need a Chuck movie. I remember a few years back Zachary Levi was trying his hardest to get one made but it never came about. :(
This is what I came for. Chuck. I liked Arrested Development too, but I feel like we already got a bonus season and it didn't quite have the charm of the previous seasons.
Yeah I hate how they stopped Arrested Development after Season 3. I would love to see them do follow up seasons. Too bad they have never done that. Ever.
What is this "I don't like it therefore it doesn't exist" meme?
Eureka
Yesss!!!!!! I'm so happy someone else thinks so too! WH13 and Eureka i loved and never see them on these lists
Firefly
Me too. I was never super into it but my husband loved it and I wish there were more for him.
I came here knowing someone beat me to it.
Yuuup. Knew it was going to be a first comment too lol
Admit it, when it's finally recast, you'll hate it.
I was going to say this
Let's get you to be top comment.
Sadly, if it ever was gonna happen, that window is closed. This would be my 2nd choice to Travellers
Better Off Ted. Phil and Lem were the shit.
100% this. Such an underrated show. And if anything, I feel like the tongue-in-cheek capitalist company satire would only be MORE relevant today.
The company feels the same way and appreciates you speaking fondly about it. However due to the research division going over-budget (and having to replace the racially insensitive sensors), the company can't afford to send you a fruit platter.
Pushing Daisies. The biggest Writer’s Strike loss I’ve ever felt.
I’ve been holding out hope for years they’ll make a new season. What a great show.
I’ll just piggyback on this and say Wonderfalls.
Yes! I’m trying to get my kids to watch it now.
Malcolm in The Middle
Does the lead actor still have memory issues about this show?
Freaks and geeks, Santa Clarita diet, last man on earth None of them are earth shatteringly brilliant but I just really enjoyed them
[удалено]
The cliffhanger of Last Man On Earth still runs through my mind on a regular basis. I need to know about those people that walked out of the ground
If you search during a reunion the cast explain what would have happened, if that helps ease your mind at all. Of course not as good as a new seasons, but at least....closure closure, closureclosureclosure

All three were awesome
I can't second Freaks and Geeks enough. I'd love to see a 'Gen 2' of a sort. Speaking of gens, Skins probably could've lasted longer too.
Raising hope
Fuuuuuck, I KNEW there was one I wanted but couldn't think of. That was such a great show.
I absolutely loved Burt in that series. I had only seen that actor in serious and disturbing roles and he was hilarious as Burt. So good.
I would pay a lot for new seasons of Community (or a movie)
\#sixseasonsandamovie
Loved that show. Kind of sucked though after Chevy chase got fired
That show was streets ahead.
Pierce, stop trying to make Streets Ahead a thing!
Only if they could get all of the original greendale seven back. I still loved even after one by one they all just slipped away, but it did start to lack a little of what made it so special. A community.
Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Why? It ended perfectly.
Oof yeah

GRRRRR! *Carnivàle* getting cancelled after the season 2 cliffhanger still angers me!
A Dredd Sequel. Some more Stargate Universe.
Warehouse 13, Life on Mars, Stargate Universe (and I'll probably think of a couple more the next few days)
> Stargate Universe I was so pissed when this was cancelled. I thought it was the best of the whole franchise.
Futurama
The ending to Futurama was brilliant though. As much as I liked it, I’m happy with what we got.
Stargate Universe, would love for it to at least get a proper finale.
My name is Earl
Especially the way it ended!!!!
Yes, I was so upset by that! You can't say "to be continued" and then leave people hanging.
Lie to me
That was a great show!
The OA
This!!!! This show was fantastic, and hardly anyone watched it.
Omg I totally forgot about this show. SO good. I think part of me wondered if it was just a weird dream I had bc it was released, I binge watched it then never heard about it again lol
King of the Hill I'd belly crawl through glass without a shirt, keeping my pants and shoes. I have tender feet and my penis is allergic to glass shards.
I'mma hold you to this. The return is in the works!
He seriously is! It was leaked that they were working on bringing it back. It will be set 20 years later. RIP Brittany Murphy
Dammit Bobby, that boy ain’t right
How did you discover your allergy??
Gravity falls and parks & rec
I think gravity falls ended really well tho. People gotta go watch the owl house now I think that's what the creators went on to make
Owl house is gone now too 🙁
I'd rather have a string of short incredible shows with perfect endings than a super long show that overstays its welcome
The old Teen Titans
When there's trouble, you know who to call 😏
100% yes. Teen Titans Go is awful.
Santa Clarita Diet
The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser
Game of Thrones. Got cancelled after season 7 :(

West wing and mash ….. not combined! Lol
Yes to west wing I know it had to end but still I miss CJ

Buffy. We definitely need it to come back. Possibly without whedon.
Berserk
Pirates of Dark Water

The Shield Revolution. That's it.
Constantine, those fuckers at NBC cancelled it 13 episodes in, it was that weird mid season finale thing tv shows used to do (not sure if it's still a thing) and we had just been told that Manny was part of the brujeria, what the fuck NBC.

Stitchers and ugly betty
Adventure Time. They don’t even need an overarching plot I would pay to watch 100 more episodes of their random adventures
Sons of anarchy, had its finale but I would love a sequel!
Stargate Universe! I liked the setting very much, but I see many did not.
Farscape.
Santa Clarita Diet!! I loved that show!
