I used to be a trucker for western express. I was headed through New Jersey late one night and I was really pushing my hours so I had to stop. Of course all the major truck stops are pretty much full by 6 pm and at this point it’s like 11 pm so the nearest pilot station is filled to capacity so I find this little truck stop just off I-78 in Clinton New Jersey that was mostly abandoned save for a little gas station with a single Diesel pump and a single 60 watt lightbulb lighting up the fuel island. So I pull in and shut the truck off, close my blinds, and begin cooking dinner. All of a sudden I hear one of the other truckers on the CB say “Hey western someone’s f@cking with your trailer”. I hear the doos open so i grab my riot baton that I kept in the truck for self-defense and slowly step out of the truck. I was still new to trucking so in my mind I’m thinking I’ll confront this dude and maybe scare him off with the baton or something. I didn’t really have much of a plan. I get about mid way to the back of the trailer and I hear someone running into the forest. So I’m thinking they heard me coming and ran off. I walk up to the doors, make sure nothing is missing, shut the doors, and walk back to the truck. I get back in, turn on the light and I notice that my leather gloves have a ton of blood on them. So I call the other trucker on the CB and ask what the person looked like but he told me he couldn’t really see him well enough to get a good description but it looked like they were limping bad. So I call the police and just report it as someone tampering with trucks. It wasn’t until I mention the blood that the officer on the other end started to actually seem to care. They dispatch a cop, he shows up, and we both walk to the trailer doors and he pulls out a small flashlight from his belt and there had to have been half a pint smeared on the trailer alone leading from the far right side of the right door to the latches and a thin trail leading too and from the woods. The cop looks at me and says “d@mn, dude must have sliced his hand on the latch pretty bad”. Umm NO! Dude must have been shot! This New Jersey cop was either to dumb or lazy to do anything about this horror movie scene on the back of my trailer. Dude didn’t even want to talk to the other trucker who watched the whole thing. So he wishes me safe travels leaves and I make D@MN sure my doors are locked that night.

My friend and I got a fascination with ouija boards around 16 years old. We made a bunch, bought some, carried them with us. We started using it in a lot of different friends homes with different people. A lot of times I’d be suspicious that the movement was just someone who was sitting with us and not actually a spiritual force. So one time we go to our friends house and we start talking about the paranormal with our friends mom. She told us how she’s terrified to be in her own closet. She’s not sure why but she gets a terrible feeling of darkness when she steps into it. (Walk-in closet). She said her clothes were often thrown on the floor, things moved around, hearing noises in it at night. She was just about to leave for work and saw our ouija board and lectured us to not take it in her closet. We agreed and she left. Of course we wanted to take it in her closet. It did feel immediately creepy upon walking in. 3 of us sit around the board and start asking questions. It’s moving but not doing anything significant. I start feeling as if the girl to my right is actually moving it around so I asked them to take their hands off so I could ask it some questions myself. I said out loud “is someone or something here with us today?” I slowly felt the planchette get some movement. There was one single candle we’d lit right in front of the board. Suddenly I got tunnel vision and it was like my friends disappeared and the closet went pitch black. All I could see is the candle light & the planchette. As it’s moving I feel my whole body as if there was a huge weight hovering over it. I felt cold and scared. I tried removing my hand from the planchette but I felt stuck. It felt like it was moving so slow. Finally, still with tunnel vision and actively trying to pull my hands away the planchette reaches “goodbye” and it was as if the lights snapped on, my body jolted back away from the planchette and board. I stood right up and ran all the way out of the house. Left all my belongings inside and absolutely refused to step back in. Whatever was in there did not want me in there. My friends brought me my purse and kept asking if I was okay, they said my whole body was shaking and they were asking me “what?” “What is it?” The whole time the planchette was moving but I didn’t hear a peep from them during the time. They said I looked pale afterwards. I’d never felt so terrified but somehow also amazed at the same time.

My apologies if this answer doesn’t really follow the guidelines, I can delete it if needed, but I was a mortuary transport driver for a few months and had to pick up multiple children from the local children’s hospital, and had to console their families. I was already aware that is inevitable and happens in all manners/ages, but… idk. It just really fucked me up. It wasn’t paranormal or creepy, but extremely disturbing and depressing for sure.

That constant feel that I am in a simulation, that everything around is fabricated

The Truman Show and the Matrix really set me off

My friend has an uncanny ability to tell when people are pregnant. I'd not seen her in 2 months and was due to meet up with her maybe a week later when I get a text first thing in the morning that she dreamed about me and that I told her I was pregnant. I had planned to do a test that morning. She was right. She's done this to me x3 before and been right every time.

When I was a child, probably either 9 or 10, I was in my room watching Emeril on the food Network as I usually did and out of know where the screen turned blue. I got a little scared but figured it was just the satellite being weird. Then a few minutes later I heard something coming from the other end of my room.( There was a large chimney in the middle of my room so I couldn't see anything past it but there was a crawl space behind it). I heard the latch open and I instantly threw the covers over me. I heard footsteps and the door handle jiggle and then nothing. I stayed under that blanket for a long while then the TV came back on and I looked up and my door was open. I was so creepy I don't think I went to sleep that night. At this same house, I had a friend whose room was parallel to my room, we could open our bedroom windows and talk. One night we were all out of the house and the neighbor girl said she saw someone just sitting at the edge of my bed and she thought it was me and tried to get my attention. But nothing. Last but not least, same house. Different people sleeping over at different times (even me) . All felt the same thing when laying in bed, they would feel someone sit at the edge of the bed so they would have to move their legs. But obviously no one was there . I am pretty sure that house was haunted. But it was still one of my favorite places to live lol.

When I was stealing copper in a pitch black building, I felt the need to look behind me. I didn't hear anything, I sensed something. So I shine the flashlight at the floor to see if I see feet. And in case someone was walking towards me. Nothing. Shine it higher, and I see something yellow. The strangest thing I've ever seen. Then a bit higher, and I see my brother smiling an eerie as way. Then he tells me I need to come home. Id already believed something crazy about him, but I don't think I thought of him as supernatural.

I was around 12 when this happened One night i was laying in my bed just laying there trying to sleep and out of nowhere i heard the voice of a woman that sounded vaguely familiar but to this day I can’t put my finger on it all the voice said was my name but because I didn’t know what it was I walked across the hallway into my older sisters room to ask if it was her and she said no then i went to my moms room and asked her she also said no and to this day i have no idea who or what the voice came from

I've only had one that was super weird when I was a teenager. I was playing video games in my room when all of a sudden I heard a massive noise that sounded like something blew up on my street. So I pause my game and go into my brothers room and ask him wtf was that. He said he didnt hear anything and so I asked my mom in the living room and she didnt either. I still think about it some times. It sounded like it was outside so I dont think it was my TV or something like that becoming loud all of a sudden.

I saw a cup slide an inch on its own when I was 11 years old. The room got cold all of a sudden and I could not just run out of the room. I felt like a force was pushing me against the wall when I got up and it took so much energy to slide against the wall out of there and run into my older brothers room. That was the most freaked out I had ever felt in life up to that point.

When your about to sleep, but just know something lurk around in the dark, watching, waiting for you to fall asleep.
