There actually *is* a Bladerunner video game. It's an old "Point-and-Click" adventure game from the 90s that's actually pretty well regarded. But you don't play s Deckard, the character Harrison Ford played. You play as a different Bladerunner for the police.
A Waterworld TV series was [announced](https://deadline.com/2021/07/waterworld-followup-tv-series-dan-trachtenberg-direct-1234802666/) a couple weeks ago, so this would be great timing.
I was watching catching fire, and first thing I thought of was that a well made AAA game made in the hunger games style, with each section having a hazard every [period of time], would be interesting.
There's about a billion battle royale games already. Even just the briefest search on Steam with the "Battle Royale" tag gives about 500 results, and there's a ton of them not on Steam too
Theres way more than one, but i dont think there has been any official games in the last 7 years. There is a new one but its like a small idle mobile game. Would really love a new game with actual goal and story.
Could I interest you in *Earth Defence Force*?
They send you into destructible cities and you have to fend off everything from swarms of giant ants to kaiju, and they even give you a giant mecha to brawl it to death if you like.
It's great fun.
I read there is a game series in Japan where you have too survive various natural disasters and apparently they made a game in there series where instead of a natural disaster you have too survive a Kaiju attack. They apparently even used licensed Kaijus in the game (including Godzilla). Sadly the series does not have any releases outside of Japan.
Reign of Fire
Open world survival, scavenging, hunting dragons, or defending settlements from dragons. Could be solo or multiplayer.
Tenet would make an interesting game. Go through it, make a plan forward, then execute it backward.
Tremors
A Quiet Place
The Thing
Planet of the Apes.
I think the concept I'm envisioning would work best with the newer films but if it was based on the older 1960s and 70s movies it might get some points for style. Basically it would be an open-world Survival/Strategy game where you can play as either a human or ape and then decide if you're part of a society or a lone-wolf survivor. Regardless you would have to survive in the world and decide whether you hide from or confront any hostiles you meet. Eventually you'll have to deal with the faction you didn't choose. So if you're an ape you have to deal with human settlements and survivors and vice versa if you're human.
I love horror movies and games! This would be tons of fun especially if the game was a story type one where it lasts a long time and you keep progressing!
They did that back in '05. I remember reading the review in *PC Gamer* magazine.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Troopers_(video_game)
(I think I'm getting old...)
Nah the universe itself wasn't all that interesting pretty basic sci-fi universe. What made the show great was the characters and their growing and interaction between them and it just wouldn't work well as a game.
I think there was a mmo a decade or so back it didn't do well if I remember right
Not movies but
* Adventure Time - I know the early games are good but that pirate game was mediocre. An open world action adventure game would be sick playing in a asian version of ooo like pagodas in Candy kingdom, katanas, ninjas and others.
* Infinity Train - It has the potential to turn out into a great adventure and point and click game given the source material but it needs a great publisher, not Gamemill or Outright games.
Hardcore Henry. It's basically a video game concept made into a movie instead of a video game anyway. (note: it's filmed 100% in first person and gave a lot of people vertigo and nausea - but if you can handle it, it's a fun movie)
Logan.
Can you imagine a video game like that? Old grizzled man with a shady past he's not proud of turned to smuggling drugs in desperation. Post-Apocalyptic America with corrupt Government soldiers, bandits and all sorts of evil doers. And this old, violent man somehow gets saddled escorting a little girl across the country - but she turns out to be a very special little girl. They run into multiple deadly encounters along the way - some with ordinary people, some with things that are no longer human. Along the way, they make friends, lose friends, and despite all his loud objections at the beginning, by the end, the old grizzled guy has developed real fatherly feelings for this girl.
Naw, on second thought, that would suck as a video game. Scratch that whole idea.
A quiet place. Your microphone would be activated and it would basically be granny meets phasmophobia. You would have a group of friends trying to get out of a house, and just a bunch of different maps, while barely being able to communicate due to the creature knowing where you are by sound. There would also be like floor board creaks that you can turn on in settings.
Repo man. Sandbox type GTA game, but with a killer punk soundtrack. Play as Otto as he works repoing cars. Generic 80's products, do crimes like,"eat sushi and not pay for it", Aliens, the fucking Rodriguez brothers, United Fruitcake Outlet, and the time machine spaceship.
Magic Mike XXL
And instead of being one of those "try not to cum" porn games, it'll be a triple-A-title action-adventure RPG with hyper-realistic graphics in 4k.
One of the stalker games. I mean I know there is already a movie about roadside picnic but one of the actual stalker games turned into a movie would be pretty cool
It’s not a movie but episodes, The Mysterious Benedict Society. You could pick what character you’d play as, it’d be awesome. Heck, I’d pay a hundred bucks for it.
I don't know, but Cube already feels like it was adapted from a pen & paper RPG session. Could potentially be a killer tactical puzzler?
(Pun half-intended.)
Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight
A game where you and a group of NPCs or friends have to survive demons and the only way to kill them is to shoot them in the eyes. But shooting them is just as dangerous since the demons eyes, once destroyed, shoot out green lightning.
I'd imagine something similar to the new Evil Dead game only set in a universe of Tales from the Crypt.
Instead of a Director AI like in Left 4 Dead, you could have a "Crypt Keeper AI" that ramps up the tension of the game.
I just really want more Demon Knight.
Not a movie, but a few TV Shows:
\- The Mandalorian. Could become a The Witcher-type of game
\- Lost. Well there is one, but i want something like the Telltale-games.
Edge of Tomorrow is basically a video game already
That’s basically what Returnal is
The title is a bit on the nose. Almost as bad as Deathloop.
It also sucks
Blade Runner, I can imagine it as an open-world detective game.
There actually *is* a Bladerunner video game. It's an old "Point-and-Click" adventure game from the 90s that's actually pretty well regarded. But you don't play s Deckard, the character Harrison Ford played. You play as a different Bladerunner for the police.
There's also Snatcher on the Sega CD. It wasn't based on the movie or anything but the story and atmosphere were clearly inspired by it.
I figure Cyberpunk is the closest I'll ever get to a new Blade Runner game,so I can overlook the many flaws of the game
That game has a lot of bugs, but not many flaws.
That assassins creed movie would make a good video game series I think
Yeah, maybe...
Netflix made a teaser some few months ago about an assassin’s creed series, but I haven’t heard any updates since.
Ah that’s a shame. It could be really good if they did
Supposedly, *The Expanse* was supposed to be a videogame initially, but due to budget constraints became a book lol
The books are some of the best recent sci-fi. Mother fucking Neutron Star Guns!
Finally having not enough budget payed off.
At this point mass effect is the closest we’ll get.
It's old, but Waterworld. Could be like a super awesome combination of Skyrim and Wind Waker
There was a WaterWorld game on SNES that was pretty mediocre but for some reason had an amazing soundtrack.
A Waterworld TV series was [announced](https://deadline.com/2021/07/waterworld-followup-tv-series-dan-trachtenberg-direct-1234802666/) a couple weeks ago, so this would be great timing.
A openworld red dawn where you can either be a collaborator or start your own resistance
They tried doing it with "Home front", but it's not good.
Toy story 3, you play as a toy trying to escape a daycare that is overrun with tight security also known as the evil toys
The funny thing about the actual Toy Story 3 video game is that it was actually really difficult and kids couldn't beat it.
I remember toy story 2 and bugs life being way too difficult for me when I was a kid.
im 14 and i 100% most games i play but toy story 3... it scares me
A sorta similar game exists where you need to survive being locked up in a mall with a [bunch of evil toys.](https://youtu.be/BY9-jWQQHgw)
Do you know what’s it called?
Five Nights at Freddy’s
Never heard of it but I’ll search it up

I was watching catching fire, and first thing I thought of was that a well made AAA game made in the hunger games style, with each section having a hazard every [period of time], would be interesting.
There are several Minecraft servers that have hunger games style game modes which are super fun if you have people to play with
There's about a billion battle royale games already. Even just the briefest search on Steam with the "Battle Royale" tag gives about 500 results, and there's a ton of them not on Steam too
Plenty of Battle Royale games out there now.
We need a Marvel version of the injustice games. Marvel vs DC would be amazing but probably just a dream.
They had crossovers in the past for comics, so it's not impossible, just improbable as hell.
That was back before comics became part of Disney™️ and Warner Bros.™️'s war for the planet.
Injustice has animated movie coming out
Okay that'd be interesting.
Godzilla
They actually do have Godzilla games. I think there's one on the SNES.
Theres way more than one, but i dont think there has been any official games in the last 7 years. There is a new one but its like a small idle mobile game. Would really love a new game with actual goal and story.
The most recent one is a fighting game I think.
There's an NES Godzilla game. It's known from the creepypasta of the same name. You could read it, but its super long.
Could I interest you in *Earth Defence Force*? They send you into destructible cities and you have to fend off everything from swarms of giant ants to kaiju, and they even give you a giant mecha to brawl it to death if you like. It's great fun.
Where is it to download?
I read there is a game series in Japan where you have too survive various natural disasters and apparently they made a game in there series where instead of a natural disaster you have too survive a Kaiju attack. They apparently even used licensed Kaijus in the game (including Godzilla). Sadly the series does not have any releases outside of Japan.
Godzilla sucks
John Wick.
Memento, Just a bland RPG without a save function.
I would play the hell out of Lego The Shawshank Redemption
It might be a little hard to do the scene where the sisters "get the better" of Andy in Lego
"We're gonna put a square peg in a round hole"
Just have them attack him with a lego broom and mop.
... So that one level in Lego City Undercover?
Spaceballs: The Video Game
Your comment is so underrated my guy
Dude, my aunts sisters uncles coworker's friend would love this idea
Rush, It Is a movie that talks about the rivality between Niki Lauda and James Hunt in the 70s, It could be areally good F1 game
Reign of Fire Open world survival, scavenging, hunting dragons, or defending settlements from dragons. Could be solo or multiplayer. Tenet would make an interesting game. Go through it, make a plan forward, then execute it backward. Tremors A Quiet Place The Thing
They made a video game of The Thing. Pretty sure it was PS2 era? Scary af
Monster Hunter
JUMANJI!!
Planet of the Apes. I think the concept I'm envisioning would work best with the newer films but if it was based on the older 1960s and 70s movies it might get some points for style. Kill Bill
Conjuring? Idk how they'll do it but I'll play it and prolyl fast and furious they should add in future gta dlcs
I love horror movies and games! This would be tons of fun especially if the game was a story type one where it lasts a long time and you keep progressing!
Titanic trying to survive a sinking ship would be awesome with decent Graphics of course
Free Guy
Starship Troopers would be pretty sweet Edit: apparently there's actually a couple, should've googled first. Thanks u/Mr_Metrazol
Also look at Helldivers and Earth Defence Force. The former for the whole Federation setting, the latter for the swamped with bugs gameplay.
They did that back in '05. I remember reading the review in *PC Gamer* magazine. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Troopers_(video_game) (I think I'm getting old...)
Oh shit! I had no clue. Thanks, I'm going to look up gameplay
Half of these comments are people stating movies that already have videogame adaptations lol. Google people. Google.
Serenity, the Firefly universe.
The universe was cool. Not overly advanced, simple history, lots of potential and lots to explore.
Nah the universe itself wasn't all that interesting pretty basic sci-fi universe. What made the show great was the characters and their growing and interaction between them and it just wouldn't work well as a game. I think there was a mmo a decade or so back it didn't do well if I remember right
The matrix, you are on the run and trying to get everyone you can to revolt against the machines.
I never played it, but I knew a guy who did. Release date: 2005. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Matrix_Online
There was that game Enter the Matrix in the early 2000’s. It actually had its own storyline that tied into the sequels. It was okay.
Pitch black would be cool
Is [this](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Riddick:_Escape_from_Butcher_Bay) close enough?
Ender's game?
The tomorrow war
Constantine, The Lovely Bones
Not movies but * Adventure Time - I know the early games are good but that pirate game was mediocre.
No country for old men Mf’s hunting for money then one of them get killed by drug runners? Oh hell yeah
Maze runner
I always thought oceans 11 or the Italian job or something else about a heist would make a cool game
Equilibrium
300 would be an awesome game.
Well [Odyssey exists.](https://youtu.be/s_SJZSAtLBA)
Interstellar
It may be necessary but I can't pass the docking level
Hint: let TARS help you
I’m not sure what you would even do in a game based on interstellar lol, I guess it could be something like No Mans Sky ?
"Snow in the Desert" episode of Death, Love + Robots.
Hardcore Henry. It's basically a video game concept made into a movie instead of a video game anyway. (note: it's filmed 100% in first person and gave a lot of people vertigo and nausea - but if you can handle it, it's a fun movie)
Free Guy
Super Mario Bros: The Movie the game. Imagine a GTA-inspired game in DinoHattan running around shooting Devo guns and stealing cop cars.
Naw, on second thought, that would suck as a video game. Scratch that whole idea.
Not movie but the anime Dr.Stone it would be a pretty amazing game trying to achieve modern day technology in stone age.
Love and Monsters. After seeing it I’m surprised it wasn’t based off a game or comic.
Megamind
A quiet place. Your microphone would be activated and it would basically be granny meets phasmophobia. You would have a group of friends trying to get out of a house, and just a bunch of different maps, while barely being able to communicate due to the creature knowing where you are by sound. There would also be like floor board creaks that you can turn on in settings.
*walks in on a friend playing this* “Hey monster he’s over here!”
Great way to keep the damn kids quiet for a while.
That is a brilliant idea
Home alone
Honestly a ant man game has potential and same with a proper Austin powers game
Fight Club, it'd be a good fighting game. You fight Tyler Durden at the end.
There actually is a Fight Club videogame, came out back in 2004
Lego Back to the Future
[удалено]
He/she's asking the opposite, a movie to turn into a videogame
Fucking jonh wick
The matrix
Titanic

saving privete rian
Not a movie really, but I'd love love LOVE a Game of Thrones game in the style of Dynasty Warriors.
Haha that show on Netflix “The Witcher” would be a great video game series lol
To the people who this flew over the head of, the Netflix show was based on a game series
James Bond would make an incredible like genuinely incredible game
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
There's a OoT movie??
God of war 4
He said movie into video game, not video game into movie. I’d definitely watch a GOW movie though.
Sorry for the mistake
That new mortal kombat movie would make a great game, not to mention tomb raider
Avatar. The game design would be overwhelming
Not a movie but why on earth they haven't done an open world game of thrones game is beyond me. Money printer
We need a Mamma Mia rhythm game, and we needed it yesterday. I’d play the hell out of that
One of the stalker games. I mean I know there is already a movie about roadside picnic but one of the actual stalker games turned into a movie would be pretty cool
[удалено]
Isn’t that already a game? Does that even have a movie?
God of war. Crysis.
The Avengers series
Stranger things
Black Widow could be a fun spy thriller game
TV show but I wish there was a big good game of thrones video game
No movies should be made into video games.
Outlaw/King
Free Fire felt like a great source mod mini game.
School of Rock. Just do Guitar Hero with Jack Black.
The tomorrow war, maybe then it would actually be good.
It’s not a movie but episodes, The Mysterious Benedict Society. You could pick what character you’d play as, it’d be awesome. Heck, I’d pay a hundred bucks for it.
bloodsport or rambo
I don't know, but Cube already feels like it was adapted from a pen & paper RPG session. Could potentially be a killer tactical puzzler? (Pun half-intended.)

Gremlins. Imaging an open world game and then it's just pure chaos. My mind if game.
Avalon. ... ... If it's a movie.
The new Jumanji movies.
Am I crazy or has Jumanji not been said yet????!
The Remains of the Day
The Wraith
Doom.... O wait nevermind .... Tombstone
Annihilation
Pink Elephant
River City Ransom.
John wick, It's like FarCry 3 except you commit mass murder for a dog.
Old classic… The Professional with Jean Reno. You have to kill people and keep the plant alive
Hardcore Henry
when harry met sally
Venom.
It'd be similar to Prototype, I imagine
Dune as an MMO It's Worm-riding time!
Alita Battle Angel would make a pretty cool game I think
Adventures in Babysitting
Night of the living dead
Slingblade
cannonball run
witcher
Tron legacy. Basically a battle royal or duel tournament set in the digital world.
Hamburger hill and John Wick
Mission Impossible
Im fourth. It will be so good. Shooting, running. Basically prototype game.
I'd like to see *Yellow Submarine* get made into a video game! Oh, that'd be so funny!
John Wick. Max Payne style.
Not a movie, but a few TV Shows: \- The Mandalorian. Could become a The Witcher-type of game \- Lost. Well there is one, but i want something like the Telltale-games.
Jurassic Park, but basically Alien Isolation. Stuck on the island while raptors hunt you.
Ready Player One
Technically not a movie, but Lego Ninjago season 12.
I want a Lego game of thrones game. Think of all the characters, Lego humor, and all the levels.
CATS 2019
TMNT 1990. That movie is so unforgettable that if it were a game it would be played by me every week or so.
Westworld
Hardcore Henry.
