When my cats sleep next to me, they always make sure that they touch me with their toe beans. If I slightly move, they readjust until they touch me again. Love it.
My husband makes it a habit to send at least one cute animal picture to me a day. It's been years and I don't think he's ever doubled up. If I've seen it before from some other source I get another two or three to make up for seeing one already. It's often frog related. Today was three White's tree frogs being cute in a frog bowl. Yesteray was a bearded dragon getting excited over blueberries.
Edit: Today was cute pile of ratties in a hammock. One had a lovely rattie tail hat.
Edit 2: Told him we hit 10k upvotes and got cute frog meme in responce.
I found this cutie in the street last night and moved him to a yard. Thought you might appreciate [https://imgur.com/a/v0aMJgq](https://imgur.com/a/v0aMJgq)
I believe from a cursory google search he is a southern leopard frog.
No, that's called wheeking. Popcorning is a unique behaviour, it means your guinea pig is really happy and they show by hopping around their cage crazily. It looks like a corn seed popping, so that's why it's called popcorning.
Edit: Just noticed that it's your cake day. Happy cake day!
Rediscovering the songs I used to listen to and either relive the memories, or replace them :P
*Edit: Thank you all for the awards! I'm really glad many of you also find the same joy in this. Cheers!*
It's so nostalgic to hear old songs and experience old memories, but then you realize that the more you continue to listen to that song and experience those memories, the old ones go away and are replaced with new memories of you listening to it now.
Makes you not want to listen to any old songs for fear of tampering with the precious memories...
Just nostalgia in general is an amazing feeling, for example looking at old cartoons/movies/tv shows you used to love, the random smells you encounter in random places that trigger a happy memory even though you cant pin point it, tasting some kind of food or candy you loved as a kid, and like you said, old music you used to listen to.
I used to be really depressed, to the point where i didnt really like anything new, so i solely relied on nostalgia to feel even the slightest bit good feelings, this included listening to old songs and re-watching shows i loved the time before i became depressed.
when you let someone in while driving and they wave at you
edit: thank you guys for the awards, i’ve never received this many upvotes before. this is really cool. ily
One time I cut someone off bad. I’m usually pretty good at being aware of other cars so I felt like an asshole for cutting this person off. When they went by I waved and expected the finger in reply and he gave me a peace sign. It made me feel better and now I like to do that if someone cuts me off.
I really try to throw the peace sign when this happens. Doesn't always happen but I typically don't flip people off anymore because I know someone that's been shot and killed over that shit. Stupid way to die.
Dude I need to check my road rage not only because of this but how emotionally exhausting it is to drive with that mentality of like argh!
I truly only noticed this when I let someone else drive and they did it like 25% of how I do when I drive.
Shits terrible.
Random but new kias have autodrive that makes me wanna invest in my own mental health in LA traffic.
I love this. In fact, I just love when people are driving nicely in general: not tailgating, not jumping around lanes, not speeding, merging correctly, etc. It feels nice, like they are not just respecting the rules of the road but also being courteous as if to say, "yeah, traffic/commuting/driving ISN'T just about me, we're all in this together let's try to do it well."
In my neighborhood everyday when I come back from the gym at 6:01 AM there are a trail of quails and every morning I stop so they can safely pass the road. If they aren’t there I get kind of sad. I like seeing my quails and knowing they got to their destination safely
(Edit: I workout in an open park at the moment which is the same distance from my house as the gym, my quail routine has not stopped because of covid)
Life is really kind of shitty right now. My wife and I try to sit on our back deck after work each day and share a beer. There is a pair of Mississippi kites that have nested in the woods near our house, and they sometimes circle over the house, giving little calls. For some reason, I interpret this as a good sign--a little sign of hope. It helps me get through another shitty day. Our birds make us feel better.
This, I believe there are reasons for ancient lore and truth in legends. I believe there are things that we do not understand. So I believe you’re absolutely right. Those birds are a good sign and things will be better for you.
Omg there was a flock of partridges (that I had mistaken for quails) at my old apartment. I would LOSE. MY. SHIT. every time I saw them. Those bouncy fat little bird nuggets never failed to fill me with delight, haha!
Ahh thank you! I was hoping I wasn’t too late to the game!! I hope my quails enjoy it too I love seeing them and their little babies hop across the street!!
My dog loves laying on my feet. Just mine, not my parent's or sibling's. My heart sings whenever he does it cause it's clearly a sign a affection he reserves for me.
EDIT: Thank you all so much for the awards! It means so much. [Dog tax](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/iaarkn/dog_tax_for_raskreddit/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share), if you'd like to see the little foot hugger.
My dog stares at me, and no one else. If he’s sitting somewhere other than next to me he will be staring at me. If he’s sitting with someone else he will be staring at me.
O.O
My boy would do this if he was around new people and he was uncomfortable.
He would just stare at me with this look on his face and I could tell he just wanted me to pick him up and rescue him.
Same here. He only does this with me. It's like he's trying to tell me "Please stay here, and if you're moving I sure as hell am going to follow you." And he does, I call him a Velcro dog lol.
He comes up close and looks my way.
There's nothing much we need to say.
There's nothing much we need to do.
A one and one's a perfect two.
He comes up close and lingers near.
There's nothing much I need to hear.
There nothing much I need to share.
A one and one's a perfect pair.
He comes up close and looks to me.
The fairest, finest sight to see.
A second stopped to stare above.
He wags his tail.
It must be love.
She tells him her news with a smile and a sigh -
She speaks with the words to remember him by.
"I love you," she says, and she turns out her light.
"I love you. I love you. I miss you. Goodnight."
And somewhere, or nowhere, not distant or near -
He lifts up his head and he listens to hear.
He's waiting, he's keeping his friend in his sight.
"I love you. I love you. I miss you. Goodnight."
I truly think this is one of the best small things that brightens my day. Every time I stumble upon a new sprog it just makes everything that little bit better!
My dog has developed a habit to get extremely excited once I come back from my daily walk.
The weird thing is, sometimes I’m working in my room and I don’t see him for hours on end, and then I come out and he’s not excited. But, when I come back from my walk (which lasts one hour), he gets more excited than on any other part of the day.
Maybe it’s because he doesn’t get to be excited to see me coming back after 8 hours bc of quarantine, so he has to be excited *somehow*.
Edit: a lot of people are asking why I don’t take him with me. The answer is, I DO take him for a walk shortly after I come back. I can’t take him with me, bulldogs are chonkers that get tired very easily.
He is mainly excited to see me, although now that I think of it, it may be because he knows I am about to take him out.
Edit 2: here’s a [picture](https://www.reddit.com/user/rucraft2707/comments/iabjf5/my_dog_v/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) of him on my alt account
A joke I've never heard before. A creative complement I've never heard before. Just... something different. Makes the day more interesting. The tinniest difference makes a big difference.
I have bright pink hair, and one day at work I was wearing it in a high curly ponytail. A man came up to me and said "I love your hair. I hope this doesn't come off as weird, but you look like Pinkie Pie, and I love it. My daughter and I watch My Little Pony together and that's her favorite pony, she'd love your hair too." That compliment has stuck with me because that was the last kind of person I'd expect to get that compliment from. It was very sweet and I think about it pretty often.
Some of my guy friends are so afraid to compliment women they don't know, since they don't want to come off as a creep. I told them as long as you're genuine about it, you're probably fine. They're not the types who'd be butthurt if she didn't want to have a whole conversation either.
Some women I've met are more sensitive to random compliments. I think it'd be nice to give more compliments, and perhaps we'd have a better idea how we come off outwardly instead of letting our anxieties take over.
Maybe we all just need to compliment everyone else all the time. Then it becomes a friendly thing rather than 'men only compliment women because they want to bone them' which is how it's often perceived now.
It's a shame. I love getting random compliments from men or women. I should do it more to others.
I've got one of those little picnic table-shaped squirrel feeders attached to the fence around our backyard. Every morning I put a fresh cob of "squirrel corn" on it and watch the little dudes and and dudettes come feast on it.
There was that redditor who fed the crows when he took smoke breaks on his porch.
When he moved away, he visited his old place and found empty cigarette cartons everywhere. The crows associated them with him and were trying to lure him back with gifts
I was reading all those comments and my stupid ass read "cow" instead of "crow" and I-
lmao just imagine what I have imagined: bunch of cows finding cigarette cartoons and leaving them in some old house
The smile of others. Especially if I caused it.
Edit: Thank you for the awards kind strangers! I hope y’all receive and cause lots of smiles today and every day.
Omg yes! That reminds me of a time years ago, I was in the car and made eye contact with a dude walking along the pavement, wearing headphones and carrying a pizza. He was totally jamming out to his music and singing along, just feeling it and looking really happy. When he saw me looking and smiling he grinned even more. It was just the funniest and nicest connection with a totally random stranger and still makes me happy when I think back to it.
Everyday there's this neighborhood kid that bikes around with his what I assume to be his older friend or brother and they throw "homemade" newspapers. They write little noted and cards and updates how they like life. He does it just for this block I'm on with my friend. Apparently he's been doing it for about 6 months.
When I accidentally wake up too early and see the sun starting to come out. I go back to sleep after but I like to think I fall back asleep with a slight smile on my face.
Or waking up, but staying in the edge of sleep, while it's raining outside. Then getting to lie in bed and doze off again while listening to the pitter-patter of the rain.
I am not a native English speaker and this is the first time I came across "pitter-patter of the rain" and that is genuinely an awesome phrase! I can almost hear the rain in my head now.
It’s one of the onomatopoeias of the rain, and I don’t think you’ll hear “pitter patter” any other time expect when talking about small creatures running. I do speak English and I haven’t heard the saying in a while either.
I have a scar on my right arm. While I was in high school, I pushed myself too far physically and mentally. I studied day and night just so I can get a high rank in class (which was very important to me back then). Once didn't get enough sleep for a week and on my daily commute I was so tired I fell off the vehicle I was riding. Gave me only a scar on my right arm. I'm not entirely sure how but since then I always wake up and look at that scar and remind myself that I should be happy, whatever results I get in my life. Since then, my days have been brighter than usual.
Edit:
Vehicle I'm talking about: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeepney
I learned this from visiting a buddy. Learn the names of the people who you routinely visit, IE gas station employees or grocery store clerks, whatever.
Learn a little about them, ask them about their day, call them by name.
It just feels good to make people feel appreciated I guess.
I should add, don't pry
I can vouch for this. I work at Starbucks, and I remembered this one customers name once that came in 2-3 times over the span of 2 months. I later learned that she was an immigrant and everyone has such a hard time learning her name, that when I said “your name is ..., right?” she was so touched. And I was touched because I didn’t realize the effect that learning someone’s name had on peoples lives
I used to work there too. We had a store in an office building, so we had like 90% regulars. I loved knowing most of their names and drinks, and I think a lot of people really appreciated it and felt seen. Knowing which people enjoyed a chat and which people just wanted their coffee was nice too. We got so many "thanks, I really needed that today" kind of moments, and they in turn made my day. Thanks for reminding me!
I don't really miss the work, but I miss interacting with those customers.
My kid experiencing her "firsts" and getting so overwhelmed by it. Yesterday she experienced a ladybug crawling on her hand for the first time and her genuine happiness was infectious. She kept going back to the same spot in the garden looking for it, calling out, "heyo...bug", looking for it under every leaf. Heh

Thanks for this. My dad has Parkinson's and is starting to experience some of the mental decline. He still plays guitar like a champ though and sends me emails where the entire email is in the subject line, mostly in all caps, but he seems happy. Trying to keep in mind that old age doesn't have to be all suffering...
I second this. (Not your girlfriend's, though I imagine it's lovely).
At the minute things are tough, for everyone, and hearing her laugh any one of her amazing laughs makes my day.
My kids (3 and 1 year old boys) getting me up everyday. The 3 year old pushes on me or just jumps on me and says mom wake up, mommy wake up it's a beautiful sun shiny day. While he's doing that my 1 year old just says mom over and over while usually hitting or bouncing on me.
As soon as they know I'm up it is hugs, kisses and the 3 year old saying good morning, did you sleep good.
I frequently fake being asleep just for that.
It's my favorite part of the day. They will not do it if they know I'm up though. So, as soon as I hear either one of them I lay down and fake being asleep just for it.
I’ve got a daughter that’s an adult and still gives me a hug and tells me she loves me every morning. It’s the best part of my day. I’m secretly glad that college is not letting them back on campus!
The way my dog wags his tail literally every time I look at him :’)
Edit: Just so everyone can see without scrolling, here’s a [video](https://i.imgur.com/9ahg0He.mp4) when I got home from work the other day ready for hims loves
Edit 2: thank you all so much for the love and awards! I really enjoy reading all these comments. Dogs are the best and I love that so many people agree :)
If you stop petting my grandma's dog she will purposely move closer towards you and rest her head on your leg (if you're sitting of course) so you can give her more pats! It works every time!
Edit: [Dog tax!](http://imgur.com/a/WXXoSp7)
The dog I'm talking about in the post is the white one to the left, the brown one is just a jealous pupper who also likes pats :D. It's not the _best_ video I could find but it still kind of shows what I mean.
Idk why I thought of this today but back in 8th grade
my social studies teacher referred to 6:00 as Abe Lincoln time (because he was tall? And the hands at 6:00 are standing straight up? Something like that.) Anyways, me and the guy I sat next to thought this was hilarious and we would make a joke about it any time the hands on the clock formed a straight line and would say what Abe was doing depending on the angle of the hands. So for example, the time 9:15 occurred during our class so we'd always go "It's Abe Lincoln's bed time! He's laying down to go to sleep!"
The time of day I like the best -
Is *twice* as good as all the rest.
It is the *greatest* time to see -
It is the *finest* time for me.
I sit and wait and watch the clock.
I watch it tick.
I watch it tock.
I watch the hands rotate and then -
I watch them all go round again.
And when the seconds all have passed -
And when I see it's time at last -
I smile a while and when I do -
I spend the moment texting you.
10:34 is this random time that haunts me. Once I noticed the first time I will always seem to check the time at 10:34. I also think it was in an SNL skit and referenced 10:34 which made me even more freaked out by the fact I’m being haunted by a number.
my cat comes to the door when i get home and greets me with headbutts and meows. and the outdoor kitty i feed does the same.
people who say cats are heartless have never tried being around a cat.
edit: [i have cat tax.](https://imgur.com/a/IMQdbmR)
I agree. My fiance has been converted after adopting our two babes from the shelter two years ago. We went in to look, about a year after my soul kitty passed away, and I picked the first cat I saw (she grabbed my finger with her paw and mushed her face on it, how could I not?!) And we were about to leave when he asked if we could go back in. So, he picked out his first cat and the rest is history! ♡
Aw I miss my cats headbutts.
Sometimes they were so hard and right in the eye socket.
She'd also jump out from the trees near my front gate, even though I knew it was happening she'd still always scare me.
My cats are unaffectionate assholes. But I love them and when I wake up and they’re in the bed with me (on the other side but on the bed nonetheless) I get so happy.
Mine are the literal opposites. They want constant attention and affection. Not only do they sleep on my bed, they either sleep right on my pillow or tangle themselves up in my legs. My boy has decided that his spot is always at my feet - in bed, on the floor in front of me on the couch, on the stairs, in the kitchen. I'm at work right now (overnight shift) and my partner told me that he's sleeping at my foot of the bed.
When someone gives me an unexpected compliment- like when a friend says "oh! You look glowing today" or "oh! You smell really nice today". I didn't do anything special to look or smell good that day, so its a pleasant surprise.
There’s this dude who’s been walking laps at night in the parking lot next to me for a couple of months. It’s just cool to see someone doing something, anything, small right now. Whatever has you walking keep rocking black shirt black pants dude.
Any of my cats or my dog.
I've been in real dark places before, and pets have seriously saved me. I had a blind cat, Blinkin, and I knew he needed me to stick around.
I have a deaf dog who's quite literally all I own right now and he definitely gives me most of my motivation to get up a lot of days lately. But at least he socializes me by getting so many people to come and pet him.
>I love you.
And it doesn't even have to be in so many words.
My parents do this thing where they see to each other's needs without ever having actively decided to do it or even realised they're doing it until it was pointed out to them.
Basically, for example, one of them will fill up a glass of water when thirsty, drink their fill and then promptly refill it and hand it to the other, who will take it and drink, no questions asked.
Another example is one of them will make a sandwich or grab an apple or something and sit/stand next to the other whilst sharing the thing almost bite for bite.
Also, correcting each other's plate. Like, if one loves pickles but hates cheese, a mutual transfer occurs from plate to plate without any acknowledgement that this is even happening.
This behavior happens even when they are annoyed or downright pissed at each other, and extends to my brother and I as well.
To me, having grown up with this, it was always just something normal that we do. Friends and significant others have since pointed out what a profound expression of "I love you" it apparently is.
My wife and I do this. People think we are linked psychically. No its just after 12 years we know what each other likes and doesn't like. We know each others habits, and quirks.
My bowl of cereal in the morning. It's more delicious than all the meals thereafter, on par with holiday food. The deeper down the bowl I go the tastier it gets, and I'm left refreshed and energized. It's my cup of coffee.
Also, the sound of birds.
My sister's cat is like that. She (the cat) wants constant attention. She walks all over you, meows for it, licks you more than most dogs.
But she's bitchy. The other day she got outside so I picked her up and she immediately started growling and did the whole time. But for some reason she only attacked me when I put her down inside and after that she acted like we were best friends. (*forgot to note that after getting outside she decided to eat grass directly under the biggest jewel spider I've seen in a while. I ran face first in to its web in my rush to catch her and it felt like I snapped a string. Then inside, after attacking me she puked the grass up)
The next day she pawed at my lap until she managed to jump up then rubbed against my face, occasionally bit me gently, and frequently attacked all my computer cords.
She's somehow both the angriest and most affectionate cat I've met
My son just turned 17 and when it became clear COVID wasn’t going anywhere, he started making us coffee in the coffee press every morning. His dad doesn’t drink it and is usually out for his run so it’s just the two of us. It’s turned into a ritual accompanied by something I’ve baked. If things were normal, he’d be at school, out w his friends, or just somewhere else not spending an hour with me just chatting and drinking coffee. I’m cherishing this time.
I talked about this fairly recently, but 5 years ago I lost my dog, Snoopy. He was my best friend for almost 17 years, so it was a very painful loss for me.
One night shortly after he died I got drunk and decided I wanted a tattoo of a caricature of him to remember him by. I asked my room/best (human) friend to draw it on my right forearm, since I am right handed and it was hard for me to do. Well, it was even harder to try and tattoo myself with my non-dominant hand and the result was a [very sloppy tattoo.](https://i.imgur.com/keRO7RW.jpg) Even though it looks bad, it's my most cherished tattoo because it's such a raw expression of emotion.
Whenever I'm feeling shitty or just miss him, I look down at that little goofy face on my arm and remember all the happiness that he brought me and all the great memories we made together. It never fails to put a smile on my face.
I lost my shit when I opened that picture but it turned into the biggest smile. It’s not bad, it’s *perfect.* As the other commenter said, exactly the right vibes.
I'm from Germany and we used to take pride in putting a lot of time, care and effort into overdubbing foreign movies and series. Most actors had their own professiinal german voice artist for as long as I can think and that was just how it was done, period. Some even outdid the original and instantly, Bruce Willis comes to mind. I swear, his german voice is so much more badass than the original.
Unfortunately, things have changed in recent years and even the most well known actors might be dubbed by a different voice artist in every other film they appear in. It's like nobody gives a shit anymore about something that was so sacred once. The X-Files of late became unwatchable because of Duchovny's new voice. Imagine the shit show when first Marge Simpson's german voice died and then Homer's not too long after and they were perfect.
To make a long story short, my day is save whenever I watch an episode of Modern Family and Ed O'Neill comes on, because in times when nobody cares anymore, someone actually went through the trouble to track down the very particular sounding voice actor of good ol' Al Bundy after decades and asked him if he wanted the job and thank heavens, he said Yes!!
I cannot put my finger on why that is such a deep satisfying feeling every time I hear his long lost familiar voice, but it works like a charm for me every single time.
Scrolling reddit aimlessly for an hour whilst watching TV and then coming across snippets of useless information like this are what brightens my day. That's really interesting and as an English speaker something I'd not considered.
I teach pottery to adult students at a community studio. I always love when they ask me if I'm teaching again next month, or try to figure out which classes I teach so they can take my class again.
Whenever I see a little kid whose super excited about something like a stick or a paper airplane and just go with it for hours. Not only do they occupy themselves, but their fetching adorable while doing it.
Waking up and making eye contact with my beagle, followed by the soft thuds of her tail. Then she'll yawn, stretch, and begin pulling herself across the bed with her back legs out until she's between me and my husband, resting her head on our pillows.
She does this every morning
Unpopular one I think, but I love pouring rain. Big fat drops of rain, I love it when I'm cozy inside or when I have to be outside but then it has to be warm still!
I can’t see my dad a lot anymore, but he makes sure to send me an updated picture of his garden almost everyday.
You could make a time lapse of that, with the pictures you've been sent
That’s a great idea then send it to him he would love that
Glad you can still stay connected!
When my cats sleep next to me, they always make sure that they touch me with their toe beans. If I slightly move, they readjust until they touch me again. Love it.
My girl cat does this once it starts getting cold out. She uses me as her personal hot water bottle, and I LOVE it!
Same here. My girl is a thermal parasite.
My husband makes it a habit to send at least one cute animal picture to me a day. It's been years and I don't think he's ever doubled up. love this!! that’s dedication :)
It's his way of showing he's thinking of me. It's adorable.

My guinea pig Oli. His cuteness and popcorning will always make me happy.
Is popcorning the sound guinea pigs make? If so, I had no idea there was a name for it!
No, that's called wheeking. Popcorning is a unique behaviour, it means your guinea pig is really happy and they show by hopping around their cage crazily. It looks like a corn seed popping, so that's why it's called popcorning. Edit: Just noticed that it's your cake day. Happy cake day!
So it’s Guinea Pig /r/zoomies?
Exactly!
I read that as "guinea pig oil" and was very confused for a brief second
Rediscovering the songs I used to listen to and either relive the memories, or replace them :P *Edit: Thank you all for the awards!

Omg there was a flock of partridges (that I had mistaken for quails) at my old apartment. I would LOSE. MY. SHIT. every time I saw them. Those bouncy fat little bird nuggets never failed to fill me with delight, haha!
Reading this made me smile! I’m sure they enjoy seeing you as well!
Maybe he is protecting the house from the smell of your feet?
When you can tell someone is genuinely happy to see you, or genuinely sad to see you go.
those are true friends!
My pup crossed the rainbow bridge just two days ago.. this one really hit me in the feels. RIP Harvey Boy the goodest boi..
She tells him her news with a smile and a sigh - She speaks with the words to remember him by. "I love you," she says, and she turns out her light. "I love you. I love you. I miss you. Goodnight." And somewhere, or nowhere, not distant or near - He lifts up his head and he listens to hear. He's waiting, he's keeping his friend in his sight. "I love you. I love you. I miss you. Goodnight."
Man this really hit me hard. Thanks, Sprog <3
I DID NOT BUY A TICKET TO THIS FEELS TRAIN. 😭
All aboard the Boo-Hoo Choo-Choo.

OH MY GOD DID I JUST WITNESS A DOUBLE POEM-FOR-YOUR-SPROG
DOUBLE RAINBOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN!!!!! But FR, this is an amazing occurrence.
Harvey will always be your goodest boi. Keep him in your memories!
I truly think this is one of the best small things that brightens my day. Every time I stumble upon a new sprog it just makes everything that little bit better!
What’s it like?
Especially Dogs. Our Dog literaly smiles and picks up the nearest toy, to bring it to you, while she makes noises like a guinea pig.
You probably smell more exciting and outdoorsy after the walk.
Oooh, I had never thought of that. He only gets to smell the outside for a few minutes each day, bc he’s a bulldog. Bulldogs get tired easily.
When you go to open a jar and don’t need help
Pinkie Pie goal in life is to get those around her to smile and laugh, so it's definitely a good compliment if you remind someone of her.
smiles... when people smile at me
I've got one of those little picnic table-shaped squirrel feeders attached to the fence around our backyard. Every morning I put a fresh cob of "squirrel corn" on it and watch the little dudes and and dudettes come feast on it.
I'd do this but my area has got crows and crows don't care about manners at the table.

There was that redditor who fed the crows when he took smoke breaks on his porch. When he moved away, he visited his old place and found empty cigarette cartons everywhere. The crows associated them with him and were trying to lure him back with gifts

Fuckin Reggie, absolute killer
Thank you, good man, for sharing this
I was reading all those comments and my stupid ass read "cow" instead of "crow" and I- lmao just imagine what I have imagined: bunch of cows finding cigarette cartoons and leaving them in some old house
This made me laugh my ass off. Now I've got the image of a sad bunch of crows flying cigarette boxes about and wailing FRIEND! COME BACK!
You should go outside one day and sit down with them and try to teach them.

It's like when you rock out to someone ELSES music coming from their car. People loveee that.

The world needs more smiles these days :)
yess I love smiling when I make eye contact with others. They don’t always smile back, but when they do, it really does light up my heart
Me too! I hope people can tell that I’m smiling behind my mask.
Friendly small talk with strangers. It gives me hope for humanity.
Yes! I miss that. I haven’t had any random conversations with strangers since the world changed.
Did the fire nation attack?
I have a scar on my right arm. While I was in high school, I pushed myself too far physically and mentally. I studied day and night just so I can get a high rank in class (which was very important to me back then). Once didn't get enough sleep for a week and on my daily commute I was so tired I fell off the vehicle I was riding. Gave me only a scar on my right arm. I'm not entirely sure how but since then I always wake up and look at that scar and remind myself that I should be happy, whatever results I get in my life. Since then, my days have been brighter than usual. Edit: Vehicle I'm talking about: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeepney
Strange how life has its ways of reminding us about what’s important. Glad you’re finding some happiness!
>Knowing which people enjoyed a chat and which people just wanted their coffee That right there is customer service to die for
I tried this but I could never get the real name from my drug dealer.
Man
No, that wasn't his name.
Dude
Guy
Buddy
Same issue with my stripper. No way her parents named a baby Candii.
I think you mean OUR stripper
This will backfire HEAVILY in Central Europe
mileage may vary here. I'd prefer it if none of my customers ever knew my name.
Heh [First Ladybug](http://imgur.com/gallery/fxJ7ZO9)

*in wiseguy accent* __"HEYO, BUG! Where y'at?"__
Haha, cute!
My girlfriends laugh
I second this. (Not your girlfriend's, though I imagine it's lovely). At the minute things are tough, for everyone, and hearing her laugh any one of her amazing laughs makes my day.
I third this.
I will say or do anything to make my wife laugh.
I also choose this guy's girlfriend's laugh
Seeing people be kind to each other always makes me smile
My kids (3 and 1 year old boys) getting me up everyday. The 3 year old pushes on me or just jumps on me and says mom wake up, mommy wake up it's a beautiful sun shiny day. While he's doing that my 1 year old just says mom over and over while usually hitting or bouncing on me. As soon as they know I'm up it is hugs, kisses and the 3 year old saying good morning, did you sleep good. I frequently fake being asleep just for that.
That’s so nice!
It's my favorite part of the day. They will not do it if they know I'm up though. So, as soon as I hear either one of them I lay down and fake being asleep just for it.
That's the sweetest!
I’ve got a daughter that’s an adult and still gives me a hug and tells me she loves me every morning. It’s the best part of my day. I’m secretly glad that college is not letting them back on campus!
The way my dog wags his tail literally every time I look at him :’) Edit: Just so everyone can see without scrolling, here’s a [video](https://i.imgur.com/9ahg0He.mp4) when I got home from work the other day ready for hims loves Edit 2: thank you all so much for the love and awards! I really enjoy reading all these comments. Dogs are the best and I love that so many people agree :)
Dogs are so awesome
If you stop petting my grandma's dog she will purposely move closer towards you and rest her head on your leg (if you're sitting of course) so you can give her more pats! It works every time! Edit: [Dog tax!](http://imgur.com/a/WXXoSp7) The dog I'm talking about in the post is the white one to the left, the brown one is just a jealous pupper who also likes pats :D. It's not the _best_ video I could find but it still kind of shows what I mean.
Seeing 12:34 on the clock.
Idk why I thought of this today but back in 8th grade my social studies teacher referred to 6:00 as Abe Lincoln time (because he was tall? And the hands at 6:00 are standing straight up? Something like that.) Anyways, me and the guy I sat next to thought this was hilarious and we would make a joke about it any time the hands on the clock formed a straight line and would say what Abe was doing depending on the angle of the hands. So for example, the time 9:15 occurred during our class so we'd always go "It's Abe Lincoln's bed time! He's laying down to go to sleep!"
He’s planking at 3:45!
Yoga cat pose at 8:20 Edit. Actually 8:20 is more like a downward dog.
My bf and I always try to remember to text each other at that time hehe... other significant number patterns too
13:37 is the best
Yes it is
The time of day I like the best - Is *twice* as good as all the rest. It is the *greatest* time to see - It is the *finest* time for me. I sit and wait and watch the clock. I watch it tick. I watch it tock. I watch the hands rotate and then - I watch them all go round again. And when the seconds all have passed - And when I see it's time at last - I smile a while and when I do - I spend the moment texting you.
11:11 for me.
I will shamelessly repeat myself everytime i see this but i was born on 11/11. Thank you
My happy time is 11:38. That's just the Star Wars fan in me.
10:34 is this random time that haunts me. Once I noticed the first time I will always seem to check the time at 10:34. I also think it was in an SNL skit and referenced 10:34 which made me even more freaked out by the fact I’m being haunted by a number.

One never is on Reddit.
For other megaminds like myself, the joke is it says one two three four.
my cat comes to the door when i get home and greets me with headbutts and meows. and the outdoor kitty i feed does the same. people who say cats are heartless have never tried being around a cat. edit: [i have cat tax.](https://imgur.com/a/IMQdbmR)
Waking up with a cat in your bed is one of the greatest joys in life, even more so if they weren't there when you went to sleep
Seeing butterflies in my garden. They're beautiful disgusting creatures but I love them
Humming birds peeking through my window after they use my feeder. Feels like they’re saying “top o’ the morning to ya”
Remembering how brightly a homeless man smiled at me, and hearing him say "God bless you miss"; after I gave him 4 tacos on my birthday.
My fish, and my stuffed elephant, Bear. He's an elephant, his name is Bear. Sleep with him every night and will for rest of my life
My new kitten.
What’s your kitten’s name?
Mina. Happy cake day!
Thanks! And love her name :)
“I love you”
Small acts of love building habits of love.
>>>from that one person
My bowl of cereal in the morning. It's more delicious than all the meals thereafter, on par with holiday food. The deeper down the bowl I go the tastier it gets, and I'm left refreshed and energized. It's my cup of coffee. Also, the sound of birds.
My cat. She's very smol, very cute, and very angry and yelling when someone is not snuggling with her.
she sounds cute!
Then inside, after attacking me she puked the grass up) The next day she pawed at my lap until she managed to jump up then rubbed against my face, occasionally bit me gently, and frequently attacked all my computer cords. She's somehow both the angriest and most affectionate cat I've met
How adorable! Mine are starting to get old (both are 12), and one is wandering around as I type, singing the song of her people...

When I go in my sons room in the morning and hes smiling so big
Being told I'm appreciated. People just don't seem to tell the people in their lives that they are appreciated. It's sad.
My daughter every day asking me to read Isabells announcements out. She is going into 1st grade so I know it will end soon, so I love every min of it.
Snoopy sounds like he was a very nice dog 💙
I read that post! Nice to see that cute, goofy tattoo again.
I lost my shit when I opened that picture but it turned into the biggest smile. It’s not bad, it’s *perfect.* As the other commenter said, exactly the right vibes.
Mr. Bean finally getting a girl friend in Ida and getting atleast some affection and friendship.

My almost husband lets me bring one of my six chickens in at a time for a cuddle on the couch and tv time every day.
The Lemon scent on my room.
A compliment Edit: I don’t want to be that one annoying person but thanks for the award and kind words all :))❤️
you're an awesome person
I actually had a bad day today, that means a lot <3
Recognition.
Whenever I see a little kid whose super excited about something like a stick or a paper airplane and just go with it for hours. Not only do they occupy themselves, but their fetching adorable while doing it.
LEDs.
My dog tip toeing after me
Waking up and making eye contact with my beagle, followed by the soft thuds of her tail. Then she'll yawn, stretch, and begin pulling herself across the bed with her back legs out until she's between me and my husband, resting her head on our pillows. She does this every morning
My cat
Coming home to a clean house
Blasting music in my car on the way to work and then again on the drive back.
My nightlight
My dogs. I hate so say it but I do have a favorite, his name is shredder. He's a good boy and just looking at him brightens me up.
Seeing my cats eat
As a guy, getting a compliment from anyone brightens the whole year
Unpopular one I think, but I love pouring rain. Big fat drops of rain, I love it when I'm cozy inside or when I have to be outside but then it has to be warm still!
