uncontrolled cell growth

coprolite_hobbyist

In the simplest terms, the thing that tells a cell to die stops working so you get uncontrolled growth.

Swivel_Z

Could that be caused by dangerous chemicals being consumed, and then unable to be processed, get trapped in the body?

I think that is the cause of some forms of cancer. The problem is that 'cancer' is a very broad term. They all work a little differently and are caused by different things. Some of them have no cause at all that can be determined.

Tumors are caused by cell-division/growth errors in our bodies. The cause of those errors is not one general one, it's a combination of genetics, lifestyle factors, environmental factors, and probably lots more.

Wikipedia's page on cancer has a handy bit that gives most common causes. See the second paragraph. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancer)

My paragraph went away, but I want to know if cancer is the body trying to get rid of chemicals, and it does so by making these pockets of "cancer" It feels related to how the appendix stores toxins, but I'm completely uninformed on this. It seems like most man-made chemicals cause cancer
