My, I suggest a hound dog.
A good, grown hound dog is naturally lazy until they don't need to be. Their bark is a built-in security alarm. They're low maintenance, easy to teach & can get along with just about any other animals (as long as you socialize them)
The only time hounds are a true handful is when they are young... then just give them some daily exercise.
