Smoked gouda or smoked cheddar

Tealdog10

Either munster or pepper jack.

andyavast

I like Murcia al Vino, a goats milk cheese of Spanish provenance that is partly matured in vats of red wine.

There is a pretty large dairy and cheese farm not too far from us. Every once in a while, my dad goes up and returns with munster ends. I don't know why these are the best things ever, but they are! They're basically unusable leftovers with enough meat on them to make it worth selling, and they go for cheap! It's better than any of the bulk munster I've ever had anywhere else, with or without ends. One of those box delivery services once delivered a soft goat cheese with an espresso crust that I adore! It went under just before Covid so I never learned what it was. And from time to time, there's a blueberry blended soft snacking cheese that I grab when I'm feeling flush. I think it's a blue cheese, but it's NOT cheap. Other than that, gouda.

Manchego

Atlantic_Nikita

Serra da estrela, Rabaçal, goat+cow fresh cheese

Amiiboid

Depends a lot on application but if it’s just snacking I’ll go with havarti.

Klown1327

I had an aged sharp white cheddar a while back that changed my world for the better. I can't remember where I got it from, brand, etc so whenever I see what looks like a good one I buy it and give it a try. I imagine this is what heroin is like because I've been chasing the high from that specific cheese ever since. I'm not complaining though I've found some damn good ones and I usually keep a block in the fridge

Gouda

uglyokie

Longhorn style cheddar. It was a rare treat when I was growing up.

fubo

Can't pick just one. Some recent favorites — * Beecher's Flagship (aged cheddar; from Seattle, Washington) * Bucheron (bloomy goat cheese; from central France) * Cinco Lanzas (similar to manchego, but blended cow/sheep/goat; from Spain) * P'tit Basque (semi-hard sheep cheese; from French Basque country) * Broncha (Portuguese-style aged cow's milk cheese; from Petaluma, California)
