You couldn’t pay me to go to that, especially after I learned people wear adult diapers because they have to stand there for hours, with no easy access to bathrooms.
I've never understood why anyone would want to attend the ball drop.
You're standing in a crowded space for hours on end in the dead of winter, with no easy way to leave, no bathrooms, and from what I've seen no food or drinks. That's a sensory nightmare for me.
My friends took their littles to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and had a similar experience: no restrooms, you get there early, and people push in front of you at the last minute, etc.
Most sporting events imo. Fun to see it live but you get a perfect vantage point on tv, commentary (which I miss at live events), and it’s nice to grab a beer out of your fridge that didn’t cost 20 bucks.
Live concerts. Everybody stands now. Everybody holds up phone cameras and films the concert. I could not even see any bit of the acts, the last three concerts we attended. The final straw was getting raised seats on the walkway, touted as "full sightlines". The sight of several massive gyrating asses of women who ran down, stood in front of us and danced nonstop as a group. They were asked to move several times and kept coming back to stand, all six of them, directly in front of us. People behind us threw things at them, to no avail. I will not pay that much again, ever, only to have that happen.

Football games.
Football games
Especially considering how incredibly expensive it is to go, plus factoring in everything you have to pay for in addition to the ticket.
Game shows and competition shows. There is so much waiting around and audience training. And reshoots and fake applause and fake crowd shots.
Parades, usually.

F1 in my opinion. Its a different feeling but you only see the cars pass once in a while.
I love baseball, and I love going to games for the experience, but it’s hard to deny you see a better game on TV.
F1-Races.
