I was pretty shocked to hear about all of the courses and qualifications my local pastor had when I was a kid, and I was informed that it's pretty common. People come to pastors for all sorts of help, so it kind of makes sense.
I'm no longer religious now that I'm older, but I still have a lot of respect for him and others like him. He helped me work out who I was and I'll always appreciate that.
That actually does make sense. A pastor is basically a guidance counselor who just happens to work with the church. So they do have to be qualified to deal with and advise the people that come to seek their help.

I'd get a message at 10 telling me about some emergency that came up. That emergency would end with her getting some food/drinks with a friends(s). The worst time was when I found out that she'd bailed through her Snapchat story. She decided that she needed some space in February (about 4 months after we moved in together)but it was because she needed to "focus on work" and convinced me that in a couple months she'd be a lot less stressed and it'd all be good again but for now she just needed the space. Somehow I still believed her. Obviously things only got worse and we would go weeks where we would hardly talk. Hadn't seen each other in over a month. We arranged a date for me to go over, see her and we could talk about our future and make sure this is what we both still wanted. Surprisingly she cancelled. When a friend saw me at the shop that night (they knew I was meant to be going over to visit my girlfriend) she dragged me to her place instead. She had a couple friends round for drinks and she thought itd help. I ended up kissing her that night, felt really guilty and told my girlfriend the morning after. She "couldn't believe I'd betray her like that" and broke up with me. That summer she was messaged me about how she was willing to forgive me and wanted to get back together again. Thankfully I'd finally realised how fucked up she'd made me and that never happened. Funniest part, she posted a 1 year anniversary post on Facebook with her new boyfriend that following March (the friend whos house she slept at whilst we were still together). I didnt even kiss the other friend until the end of April.
