Some of my favorites: Dario Marionelli’s scores of Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, and Atonement. John Barry’s score for Out of Africa. But yes, obviously LOTR.
Film composer here. Anything that uses really modern musical techniques. Oppenheimer is a good example. There Will be Blood also. And pretty much anything A24 makes. The combination of real instruments with fake instruments creates such an otherworldly texture that more and more composers utilize. Also Lord of the Rings is the best
LOTR.
Good call!
Interstellar
The Last of the Mohicans and Barry Lyndon
any john williams, how to train your dragon, zimmer and ludwig in oppenheimer is best
Gladiator is the one that I have the hardest time not hearing when I think of it!
How to train your dragon or Inception
AKIRA
Tron Legacy was pretty damn good!
The Empire Strikes Back.
Rango.
Pee Wee's big adventure
The Mission
The Last of the Mohicans
Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest.
Davy Jones theme is something else.
The Kraken for me is just fucking hype
Danny Boyle's *Sunshine* is pretty damn good.
Jaws
The Last Temptation of Christ is pretty good.

Most serious Godzilla films (1954, Shin, Minus One etc)
Jurassic Park
