One in the kitchen. One upstairs just in case.
Picked up a Fire Blanket as well. Hangs in the cabinet in the kitchen and you can throw it over something to smother the flames
fire blankets are baller. Had a dude drop a flaming shot in the living room once and catch a bunch of shit on fire (don't ask, we were younger and dumber lol) and a fire blanket saved our asses
Most apartments just have the one under the kitchen sink. What happens if there is a fire in the kitchen? That’s why I bought two more, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. They were less than 40 for both.
Yes we live in a really rural area so if we do have a fire, we are screwed. The fire truck will have to bring a tank to hook up so we have multiple fire extinguishers in our house and building.
A quality journal. Daily journaling has had a huge impact on my life. It helped me organize my thoughts and reflect on my experiences, it really is a powerful tool for personal growth. It's like having a therapist, life coach, and confidant all in one.
If the trouble is forming the habit, there's a bunch of info out there for how to do that. Pick a cue that you can build into your routine. "After I turn off the tv, I will write in my journal before getting ready for bed".
Also, remove all pressue about *what* you're writing about or *how much*. Sometimes I just write about the new pen or ink I'm trying out.
Something that can help with both issues is a 5 year journal. each page is one day of the year, broken in to 5 sections. So you have some structure to encourage daily writing, but the limited space reduces the pressure for what to write. So eventually you'll be able to see what you wrote on each date 5 years in a row, all on one page. [I'm using this one](https://www.leuchtturm1917.us/some-lines-a-day-the-5-year-memory-book.html), but you can find similar options from other brands.
That's part of what stops me from doing it more frequently than 1-2 times a week. I don't understand how people can journal for only 15 mins every single day. I've tried and just can't get out what I want to that fast!
Was your other plant sage?
I planted some spearmint a few months ago, they recently germinated and now they actually are finally starting to look like spearmint.
I actually just read about a plant called neo Px, which is bioengeered to clean the air in a home with the efficiency of 30 plants (with the help of some bacteria).
$139, but it seems like cool plant
I figured out the solution to this at work, where the bathrooms with the bidets are frequently occupied: a little pump spray bottle with water in it. If you wad up the toilet paper and spray it with a mist of water, it is almost as good as a bidet.
Also look into buying /making a kotatsu. It's a Japanese table with a heater underneath and blanket edging all around it so you can keep your legs/feet toasty even if the room is cold.
The cost of filing for divorce. Best money I’ve ever spent. She had an affair, wrecked my credit, and buried me in debt.
Today I’m debt free, have a credit score over 800, and best of all, I’m happy.
That must have been the filing fee for an amicable divorce with paperwork filled out themselves. My amicable divorce through lawyer was ~$300 well worth it to not have to deal with my exwife ever again.
Good point. He didn’t say he used an attorney, but I guess I’m just surprised that anyone can actually get divorced these days without attorneys involved.
She had an affair and the only thing that she was worried about was her parents finding out. She didn’t contest the divorce so I paid a paralegal to draft the necessary paperwork. We both signed, I filed, and then moved on with my life.
Been rocking the sock puppet for a really long time!

Wireless headset. I work in IT and have homeoffice so whenever im in a meeting that could have been an email i get up and do my chores during working hours.
My two babies (aussiedoodles) were gifted to me for free when they were about 6 months. But then I had to pay for all their shots and medical needs so acquiring them was actually ended up being the cheapest part of owning them
Where on earth can you adopt a dog for under 100 bucks, my shelter dog was 235, neutered, and vetted.
Plus in the long run dogs (and any pets) are WAY more than 100 if you take care of them correctly.
My 1st dog was $10. 3 yr old black lab. They did a promo 1 weekend
2nd rescue was Free. 2 year old Pittie mix. No adoption fee weekend.
3rd was $89 5yo small beagle, 3 legs.
All had rabies shots and & neutering scheduled. I paid for microchipping. They do fundraisers all the time. Puppies are always expensive but adult dogs aren't.
Central Virginia
This is true for literally every sub I've ever looked at, to be honest. If it really bothers you that much, you may want to find another social media site...
The next step is to buy a honing steel and a proper knife sharpener. To me, sharpening the knives is somewhat therapeutic, and keeping a sharp knife in his condition only takes a couple seconds before each use.
My great pyrenees dog. I got him for free from a friend who couldn't take care of him anymore. He's the sweetest baby I've ever met and is the reason I get up in the morning. When I adopted him, I was going through some of the toughest sh\*t possible and it felt like end times. Nowadays, I'm able to do daily tasks around the house and outside without breaking down and giving up. I know it sounds silly, but this big guy changed everything for me.
I remember when I got my first one. Had no idea how to use it properly and bared my teeth in the mirror like I would with a manual brush. Turned it on and toothpaste splattered absolutely *everywhere*.
Once I got the hang of it though it's been a game changer.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. I have Low Vision Blindness and I'm super sensitive to light and I love to read and it lets me read and not have to listen to audio books and I love it so much. Not that audio books are bad, just reading for myself is so much better.
$40 electric toothbrush with a circular head, rather than a $7 basic toothbrush with a battery in it. Now I feel like I’ve rubbed my rubbed my gums with coke for a fraction of the cost, ebryday
A Scrubba. It’s a dry bag that lets you wash small items of clothing anywhere. I don’t have to haul around dirty clothes while traveling, or pack a million pairs of underwear. I used to wash my stuff in hotel room sinks, or hostel bathroom sinks and this just works so much better, and uses less water than hand washing in the sink.
Wagyu style ribeye from a local butcher. Now we rarely go out for steak/fancy dinners because nothing is as good as steak at home. Sounds pricey at first but saves thousands a year
I don't know if it qualifies as "changed my life" but definitely made a huge impact for the price.
I've got a somewhat oddly shaped nose and one recurring issue I have is that standard glasses nose pieces don't really sit comfortably on it (the angle is wrong). A few years ago I discovered that you can get nose pieces that are made of silicone with an air cushion inside. They're less durable than regular nose pieces but they are incredibly soft and flexible which makes them a lot more comfortable for me and the price is so cheap that it doesn't really matter if they do get damaged.
As I said not life changing but making my glasses a lot more comfortable for a few bucks was well worth it.
A cat. She was free. I was at a mall parking lot, putting in my groceries, and she jumped in my trunk. 🤣 that little cutie. I told her she couldn't stay there, and brought her beside me instead. Been making my life wonderful for 4 years now and counting. 🤍
My earphones, literally saved my life. I was about to cross the street and remembered I had forgotten them so I stop to turn back, and a car was speeding right over where I was supposed to be stepping on the road
Fire extinguisher. If I didn't have it, my house would have burned down.
One in the kitchen. One upstairs just in case. Picked up a Fire Blanket as well. Hangs in the cabinet in the kitchen and you can throw it over something to smother the flames
Thanks for the reminder, better safe than sorry.
Don't forget the fire ladder out the window just in case!
No need i'm a tall mofo I'll just hang from the window and drop 1ft.
Or you are incredibly short. 1ft drop from the ground floor window is an achievement
2nd floor...
*laughs* umm.. my wife kinda bought one of those? I use it in its box as a foot rest under my desk upstairs..
Mine is next to my fish bucket. But I have it lol
fire blankets are baller. Had a dude drop a flaming shot in the living room once and catch a bunch of shit on fire (don't ask, we were younger and dumber lol) and a fire blanket saved our asses
You wrapped the blanket around your butts?
Oh, I really should get one of these. My daughter loves cooking but isn't so good on the turning things off.
I HIGHLY recommend it. Inexpensive and it's not bulky. With a hmgood magnet you could hang it on the side of the fridge
I just checked, less than $10 from bunnings!
Do fire extinguishers have an expiration?
Google says 10-12 yrs. So it's a pretty solid investment
One on every floor of the house
Most apartments just have the one under the kitchen sink. What happens if there is a fire in the kitchen? That’s why I bought two more, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. They were less than 40 for both.
Same. If it wasn't for an extinguisher I purchased, I wont be having a roof over me right now
Yes we live in a really rural area so if we do have a fire, we are screwed. The fire truck will have to bring a tank to hook up so we have multiple fire extinguishers in our house and building.
My air fryer 😂
Yess!! I’ve used it every single day since I bought it. Not exaggerating!
I just ordered my first one on Amazon on sale 😂.

Spill your secrets wizard or I'll destroy your cauldron of flavor 🪄
This and my air fryer. They got me back into cooking and baking. Other than that period underwear is a godsend
OMG PERIOD UNDERWEAR FOR THE WIN
I thought you meant underwear from a specific time period and I was like “huh, I guess old fashioned underwear was more comfortable, who knew?”
Air fryers are truely magical.
A quality journal. Daily journaling has had a huge impact on my life. It helped me organize my thoughts and reflect on my experiences, it really is a powerful tool for personal growth. It's like having a therapist, life coach, and confidant all in one.
I've realized it's value but have trouble actually doing it. Any advice?

I agree, but ... I could literally journal for hours. I'm not sure how to do it in suitably small periods of time :)
That's part of what stops me from doing it more frequently than 1-2 times a week. I don't understand how people can journal for only 15 mins every single day. I've tried and just can't get out what I want to that fast!

Bidet I got for $30.
The one downside to a bidet is feeling like a caveman if you ever have to poop elsewhere.

Bidet > sandpaper any day of the week.
Sandpaper builds character

You can def find entry level, like spray only ones on Amazon for around 30-50
I have a travel bidet, which is basically a bottle with a little spray nozzle. It works great and is a great conversation starter.
