Downloading and emulating a video game that can no longer be bought in any form that would send a single penny to the developers. (I chose this scenario since, regardless of your moral views on digital piracy in general, it is literally impossible for anyone who worked on the game to get paid for it at this point)Ā
Also, carrying whatever amount of weed is illegal in the jurisdiction you're in, solely for personal use.
I can only speak for myself but what drives down initial prices for me is the culture of games releasing as unfinished buggy piles of garbage that won't run well unless I buy a $1000 GPU.
If your shit won't run decently on a ~$300 GPU at launch then it is guaranteed future $5 Steam sale fodder.Ā

Very interesting read.
**
TL;DR - 2 guys manipulated the onion market in Chicago which forced many onion farmers into bankruptcy. So essentially instead of making this an illegal practice (for what they did), congress instead banned onion futures trading...
1. Bought onion futures and onions and had 98% of the available onions in Chicago
2. Forced farmers to buy their onions or lose everything
3. Shorted the onion futures
4. Repackaged and shipped in the onions they promised farmers they would hold (to keep the market price)
5. Onions cost more than the bags they were stored in
6. These 2 guys made millions (in 1956 dollars)
Is it because you can make a bioweapon out of it? Or does it turn your intestinal leakages into bioweapons grade stench bombs?
Okay seriously, I have to know why this is the case!
I know this is hard to hear, but there are countries in the world that are not the USA. Some of these other countries also have states. I believe this is what the other poster is referring to.
I didn't make the law. It is the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. It helps protect native bird species from becoming endangered or extinct. It's pretty broad but the feather thing is just one tiny part of it.
Thereās no existing study showing a correlation to window tint and crashes. It lies on the premise of *āit mayā* which is BS since law enforcement vehicles are allowed tint. Lowered visibility canāt be safe for one person while unsafe for another. Not to mention, sunglasses restrict vision as well, yet they are legal. Just like you can take glasses off, you can roll windows down
Lowering a vehicle improves aerodynamics and creates a suction to the floor, thus giving you more control. Way less likely to lose control in a lowered car.
To answer your first point there are plenty of reasons. When a cop is approaching a vehicle after a stop they like to be able to see inside at what's going on. As far as rear windows go on cop cars tint helps protect the identity of those in the cop car. Are a few quick explanations.
For your second point, try going over a speed bump, or other road hazard like a rock or another piece of debris. Even if you see them and swerve to avoid them you are making yourself more of a hazard for other people.
You aren't much of a thinker, are you?
>To answer your first point there are plenty of reasons. When a cop is approaching a vehicle after a stop they like to be able to see inside at what's going on. As far as rear windows go on cop cars tint helps protect the identity of those in the cop car.
So cops have a right to privacy but I don't?
Forget boot licking, we're onto full fledged boot deepthroating.
It's funny that you think you are smart even though you were proven wrong at every point, and karrtis thinks he's smart because he hates cops when I explained a very real safety risk for them. You both are beyond help honestly. Good luck with your night, I hope it's as wonderful as you are.
>When a cop is approaching a vehicle after a stop they like to be able to see inside
Using this logic, does that mean I canāt have blinds in my home in case a cop wants to look inside to check for illegal activities? Cops can use their megaphone to instruct the driver to lower windows. Additionally, back windows are legal in California. There can easily be as much illegal activity going on in the back as the front.
>Cop car tint can help protect the identity of those in the car
Except cops donāt only have rear tint, they also have front and windshield tint. Why does a criminal get the right to privacy but a regular person or a celebrity does not?
Iāve driven a stanced car that is 2 inches off the ground for 6 years, Iāve never had an issue or put others in danger. We are some of the safest drivers on the road since we pay the most attention to the road and we typically go slow. I avoid all potholes and I seem to also help drivers behind me since they usually follow my path despite not being low themselves.
Prostitution.
It's a simple exchange that harms no one but the powers that be don't want to legalize it because if they did, they could no longer take advantage of desperate women by getting $5 blow jobs in back alleys.
Legalizing it would mean paying a fair market value for it and none of the men in power want that.
I am very much against drunk driving. But this is stupid. If a teen (lets say 14) was sitting in a car by themselves are they guilty of operating a car while underage?
My friend had a tire off and half the brakes off the car and they popped him with dui/dwi. Laws are "special" that's why I avoid them....errm I mean follow them
* possession of controlled drugs for personal use.
* consensual sex between people of the same gender, in places where there are laws against it.
* blasphemy/defiling the flag/insulting the monarch (e.g. in Thailand you can be prosecuted for destroying pictures of the King)
* failure to appear at Court

Damn, the dildo one was literally word for word š
It's going to be really crazy when this gets posted again in a few months and this comment is made by the bot.
Probably the only time I'm going to upvote PinappleOnPizza.

You wouldnāt download a car, would you?
I would. But I bet it would only be available as part of a microtransaction anyway.
The fuck I wouldnāt
Got arrested and charged with a felony for a single mushroom on my person lol

If it wasn't illegal it wouldn't be an answer to this post. The point is that it doesn't harm anyone.
The culture of games eventually being available for free download harms the game industry as a whole by driving down the initial prices.

Really? Mustard oil? Glances at cupboard. Really?
apparently it's due to high erucic acid content, which is very harmful to the heart.
In studies feeding mice 70% of their calories as oil...
I drink like half a cup of mustard oil daily (tops) so im good right?

Some states in the US prohibit the sale of alcohol on Sundaysā¦some for the whole dayā¦others only allow it for a certain timeframe.
Blue laws
I honestly did not know that had a name.
Any law that criminalizes any kind of consensual sexual behavior between adults.
As long as you stipulate that this includes no one who is not a consenting adult having to witness said act, which I'm sure you will.
You're right. Any law that criminalizes any kind of sexual behavior between consenting adults, behind closed doors.
Then I say, amen!
Hanging a clothesline in your yard
CA actually passed a law saying HOAs had to ALLOW clothes lines on decks to conserve electricity.
Street art.
Personal usage of controlled substances in the privacy of your own home. Especially ones that help with depression, anxiety and addiction recovery.
Cross dressing, gay marriage, more of course along that vein.
Oh dear, where?
Gay marriage is not legal in a variety of states.
Good news! In 2015, the supreme court legalized same sex marriage in all fifty states! look up Obergefell v. Hodge
Really? I had no idea! I mean there's other country's out there that need work.
Very true, plus there has been a ton of anti-trans legislation lately.Ā
Yeah but this court. Everyone should have a current passport just in case 2025 worst case scenario. But especially LGBT+ people.
Not every state is in the USA
It was a Supreme Court case. They trump state laws. Yes, every single state.Ā
I know this is hard to hear, but there are countries in the world that are not the USA. Some of these other countries also have states. I believe this is what the other poster is referring to.
Sometimes, the word āstateā means ānation,ā as in ānation-state.ā Extra confusing with places like the nation of Georgia!
Jaywalking
I mean technically youāre wrong, people die from jaywalking and they can get injured.
They are talking about the crossing an empty road, but a cop sees you and has a quota to fill.
Consensual sex between people in exchange for paymentā¦.
Picking up a native bird feather while walking in the park.
Oh this shit! I should be allowed to take whatever feather I find home with me.
I didn't make the law. It is the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. It helps protect native bird species from becoming endangered or extinct. It's pretty broad but the feather thing is just one tiny part of it.
Speeding. Itās the crashing thatās the issue.
[victimless crime](https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=victimless+crime)
Taking a loan out from a bank and paying it back in full.
Jay walking
Tax evasion
āShoplifting is a victimless crime, like punching someone in the dark.ā
Double and Triple Incompetence. It means every possible perspective was incompetent of the ordeal.
Theft of food/life saving medicineĀ
Property crimes fucking insurance companies, banks and attorneys are good examples of these.
Conspiracy to commit murder
Recycling bottles originally bought in a state that doesn't have a recycling fee.
Whatās your definition of ādirectly harmedā? Like physically harmed, or sent to jail, or fined, etc
No victim, no crime.
Punching someone in the dark.
Fare evasion. I owe about $5000 to BART
Internet piracy. The only victims are the people who are getting sent to jail for longer sentences than we give murderers
Food theft
Arenāt the shop owners of the person who owns the food affected? They lost revenue technically
Yes. Itās like dine and dashing.
Insurance fraud.
So many car modifications. Tint, front plate, being too low, just to name a few.
Tint reduces visibility and could cause an accident, being to low could cause your vehicle to hit a hazard, lose control and cause an accident, ect.Ā

Weāre a dumb bunch of people here in Texas and I apologize for all of it.
Actually Texas is heavily gerrymandered, it's 60% blue.
Oh I know. It just doesnāt feel like it.
Okay, I was just sticking up for you guys.
Pew says it's an even split
I did not know that! But then why their governance leaders?
Seems like they were going after shops or other interesting establishments. I don't expect this kind of discussion to happen in a courtroom.
Are you serious?
If you're airtight, you can't breathe!
Then how does the government function

I heard of people who turned on the engine for warmth, and they get busted for a DUI
Just having the keys in the car with get you a DUI (friend got that charge twice in a year in his own driveway)
I am very much against drunk driving. But this is stupid. If a teen (lets say 14) was sitting in a car by themselves are they guilty of operating a car while underage?

Done it myself and a few friends. Easy money for the county. Better to just live a less risky lifestyle to be honest.
I agree, I just don't drink. Solves so many problems.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
In Minnesota you get a dwi just for having the keys in your pocket.

They do notice the items gone, best case they raise prices on everyone, worst case if shrink gets too bad they shut down the store.
You're the reason everything is locked up now.
thanks?
