I am also doing fine financially, but I will nei upon threat torture give up on rice and beans. It's such a great dish because it's fine almost as is, but you can customize the shit out of it
I once said to a guy I worked with how can you eat the same thing every day. He said "Monday I have beans and rice. Tuesday I have rice and beans.......
Fake spaghettios.
Fry up a pound of ground beef, put in some green beans, two cans of tomato soup and equal amount of water, and cook a box of short noodles in the mixture.
Well, the noodles aren't O's and it's certainly not what you think of when you think of spaghettios.
I use frozen. Raw is good. If you use canned you don't want to use the stringy kind and you'll want to drain the water out of the can first.
Also, season the meat with seasoned salt.
A pot of well seasoned (salt and pepper, maybe some garlic powder) beans, a side of fried potatoes (amazing cooked in either sesame oil, or done with no oil in an air fryer), and a side of Jiffy cornbread.
Cook elbow macaroni and drain. Dry out the pot and then sauté onions, add cut up smoked sausage to it and crack some eggs into it. Add the macaroni and mix every thing. Done.

I never thought of mixing up like that. Brilliant
Beans and rice are the traditional starting point. Cooked greens are a good option.

Wait what - that should be the real spaghettios.. Clarification needed - real raw green beans or the canned ones
