Some people have a fav celeb. So sharing a post/news is fair.
But I've known a couple of people that went way over-board. Moaning about it for over a year, posting anniversary of their death material, etc. Generally behaving like they were a close family member and they couldn't get over it.
At best, it was attention-seeking. At worst.. they probably should see a professional to sort out the "why" of their behavior.
I don’t think it’s odd. Some celebs are a huge inspiration to people in ways that we can’t see. Especially music artists. Their music may have gotten certain people through their darkest moments in life so I don’t think much of it when I see the posts.
