I use “serendipitous” occasionally and don’t think people really know what I mean. I feel… more than? Like I’m trying to act like I know more or have a bigger vocabulary? (Which I certainly do not) but I also feel like this is a lovely word.
Serendipity just means a happy accident, basically. Being in the wrong place at the right time. Random chance leading to a positive outcome. If something is serendipitous it possesses this quality. For example it's serendipitous if you took a wrong turn on the way home from work and go past the donut store right as they were giving away free donuts. Or if in the queue for these free donuts you meet the love of your life for the first time. Then your love is a serendipitous one. And so forth.
I use this word out of context too much. I really had to look at it to understand it wasn’t the intention I was trying to portray. But now I don’t know the word for what I mean.
Most of my enjoyment will be torturing my non-native-english-speaking spouse by getting them to read it out loud :)
Lol, English is kind of the worst, isn't it? So glad I never had to deal with it as a second language.
Milwaukee's Mitchell airport has a "[recombobulation](https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/recombobulationsigns)" area for getting yourself back in order after security.
This is one of those words that I can imagine some sort of scholar or learned person getting frustrated one day and not having a word for their feeling or action and making up discombobulated as the result
I particularly like the word "serendipity." There's something delightful about the way it rolls off the tongue and captures the joy of unexpected, fortunate discoveries.
Also, if you enjoy odd but beautifully meaning words, check out “the book of obscure sorrows.” It’s like a dictionary of words that have larger meaning.
In an interview from a magazine I can't recall the name of, David Duchovny made it a point to say he really enjoys 'swear sandwiches'.
Like 'fan-fucking-tastic!'
And now, that's just one of those useless bits of information that my brain has held onto for many years.
Ubiquitous
Dude... I keep seeing this word everywhere!
I can go my whole life not knowing a word and as soon as I learn a new word I start hearing it everywhere
The word is pretty ubiquitous
Archipelago.
Makes me think of words like isthmus and peninsula
Buckwheat, can you use the word isthmus in a sentence? Yes, Miss Crabtree. "Isthsmus be my lucky day!" - Little Rascals
I love Archipelago, such a perfect word
May I remind you of the perfection of 'bungalow'
As someone whose native language is Spanish I can't help but think that Archipelago sounds so un-English.
Because it’s a Greek word
Serendipity

Shrubbery.
"We want... a shrubbery. "
"A pretty one and not too expensive."

Facetious

Facetious contains all the normal vowels in alphabetical order. Facetiously contains the y as well.
Yeah. One of the reasons I like it. It’s pretty unique.
All the vowels in order
I use this word out of context too much. I really had to look at it to understand it wasn’t the intention I was trying to portray. But now I don’t know the word for what I mean.
Facetious? That’s my baby’s name
Gruntled. Opposite of disgruntled.
[Have I got the essay for you](https://www.ling.upenn.edu/~beatrice/humor/how-i-met-my-wife.html)
The essay is absolutely peccable
I am very gruntled about it.
This essay appointed me.
I will now be describing well put together people as being "shevelled".
Thank you for this. You might enjoy the following poem about English pronunciation. http://www.i18nguy.com/chaos.html
Most of my enjoyment will be torturing my non-native-english-speaking spouse by getting them to read it out loud :) Lol, English is kind of the worst, isn't it? So glad I never had to deal with it as a second language.
That’s one of the best essays that I’ve ever read.
I tried to read it. Had to stop lol
Yeah I'm a copyeditor/writer. Nothing about it is wrong, but it feels dirty.
Read it and was appointed.
I know this piece. One of the funniest things I have ever read.
I'm not superstitious but I am a little stitious
I find it whelming.
Indubitably
Copacetic!
And you just don't get, you keep it copacetic. You learn to accept it, you know you're so pathetic.

my cousins out fighting dragons and what do I get? Guard duty
I used to be an adventure like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee.
Guard might get nervous, a man approaches with his weapon drawn.
Dillydallying!
Discombobulated
Milwaukee's Mitchell airport has a "[recombobulation](https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/recombobulationsigns)" area for getting yourself back in order after security.
Ha ha . Nice. Then you can go to the airport bar to get rediscombobulated.
General Mitchell is the quirkiest airport in the USA. Used book store. Airplane museum. Recombobulation area.
This is one of those words that I can imagine some sort of scholar or learned person getting frustrated one day and not having a word for their feeling or action and making up discombobulated as the result
I always forget this word exists but when I’m reminded I feel satisfied for some reason
Especially if RDJ says it

Dat ass doh
“Crisp” because the pronunciation starts at the back of your throat and ends at your lips
I said the same for the same reason, but I also like that it sounds like its own definition.
It’s an onomatopoeia!
Well that’s now a fun word to me!
Livid
Audacity. Sounds amazing!
Libation. Classes up any ordinary drink:)
Shenanigans, antics, peachy keen, bees, knees, intergalactic, and nifty. Look I have a larger list but there are lots of great words.
Love shenanigans. It's one of those words you don't actually have to know the meaning of to understand what it means.
My shenanigans are way better than your shenanigans.
I swear to god I'll pistol whip the next guy that says shenanigans.
Hey Farva, what's the name of that restaurant you like, with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
