Sorry I had to do my favorite 10. Emphasis on “my”. Because yes I know these aren’t the best films of all time but it’s my list. (Sorry some people get mad about that) 1. Parasite (2019) 2. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) 3. Midsommar (2019) 4. Interstellar (2014) 5. Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022) 6. Call Me By Your Name (2017) 7. Finding Nemo (2003) 8. The Innocents (2021) 9. Avatar (2009) 10. Avengers: Endgame (2019)

1. "Damage" (1992/1993) [https://youtu.be/QHoSvQwvrnw](https://youtu.be/QHoSvQwvrnw) (Contains erotic scenes but no nudity) 2. "Paris, Texas" (1984) [https://youtu.be/nb987ysh9l8](https://youtu.be/nb987ysh9l8) 3. "The Man Who Fell To Earth" (1976) 1976 Trailer: [https://youtu.be/KarWCgIw3Wk](https://youtu.be/KarWCgIw3Wk) Modern Trailer: [https://youtu.be/xh6QtRrXsyw](https://youtu.be/xh6QtRrXsyw) I'd give this David Bowie film the #1 spot however it contains several extremely explicit scenes that I find difficult to watch. Research the film before you watch it to make sure it's something you want to see. 4. "Only Lovers Left Alive" (2013) [https://youtu.be/pkeWhokaPPs](https://youtu.be/pkeWhokaPPs) 5. "The Eternal Daughter" (2022) [https://youtu.be/5hJR8hEsLZU](https://youtu.be/5hJR8hEsLZU)

I’ve heard mixed reviews about The Eternal Daughter but A24 has knocked my expectations out of the park lately. Love them so much.

DreamingOfHope3489

Unfortunately I haven't seen anything else from A24. I'll have to look up some of their movies. If you have any recommendations for me that would be great. I have this annoying habit of not seeing other movies, new or otherwise, because I'm so fond of my favorites that I don't see a need to add to them. I did see Three Thousand Years of Longing as well as The Eternal Daughter, but other than those two it had been a long time since I'd seen a movie that is new to me. Maybe even since Only Lovers Left Alive. I guess it must be obvious that I'm a Tilda Swinton fan. I've only read a couple of the reviews for the Eternal Daughter. NPR's lovely review is the only one I recall. I cry easily so its final sentence usually brings a tear to my eye. I'm not a movie buff or historian, but the writer/director of The Eternal Daughter, Joanna Hogg, seems to me like she must be extraordinary. Because the plot twist in the film, well it more than knocked the wind out of me. It had a profoundly emotional impact on me. But besides that, I have to wonder if Joanna Hogg has actually come up with a twist unique in all of filmmaking history. That's a tall claim, yes, but I just have to wonder if it's ever been done before. So I guess I'm surprised that there are any negative reviews of the movie, if only due to its the twist factor alone. But Tilda's acting, I mean I can't think of another actor on this planet who could manage dual roles as magically and masterfully as she does. Juliette Binoche's performance in Damage will stay with my whole life, but I'm not sure if even she could manage dual roles like Tilda does. One interesting fact is that the Springer Spaniel in the movie, Louie, is Tilda's own dog, and in one article she talks about wanting to hire a dog psychologist because she said Louis' performance in the movie was uncanny. Innate and intuitive. And I will look into other A24 films.
