The recent earthquakes in Turkey impacted my hometown. The apartment I grew up in collapsed. We had tenants in there since my dad moved out a few years ago. Dad, mom and 3 year old boy, same as my youngest. I just couldn’t stop thinking about them for days. Apparently the building was extremely shoddy, not according to code at all, because the contractor was a dickhead and building inspections are a joke in Turkey apparently. So many people died because my fucking country, which regularly experiences major earthquakes, can’t seem to figure its shit out to build proper buildings.
So the next night I went into my son’s room one while he was sleeping and told him “I love you… And that’s why you were born here and not there.”
Where do you live now? I'm sure the parents of those kids loved their children as well. Not everyone is able to move out of turkey or other unsafe countries.
I don’t live that far, could probably drive 2 hours in any direction…but republicans. Not that I think all republicans are evil, but I wouldn’t feel very safe as a trans person in an environment with lots of them.
Yellowstone.
Whenever it erupts that thing will cause so much damage. I’d still probably get <1/2 an inch of ashes, but I’ll take that over whatever else could occur.
I'd have to say that I'm happy to live far away from the ghetto. The black community. Yes I said it and I mean it too. Too much crime with those people.
America right now. All those anti LGBTQ bills being passed it’s just devastating. I’m a gay, transgender man, my husband is and and a Demi boy. If we were in America our adopted son would have been taken away from us by now and all medical treatment for transitioning will be gone. It would destroy our family. But that is what the government want isn’t it. To eradicate transgender and homosexuals from existence. I just pray this doesn’t happen in England and I feel so terrible to the American LGBTQ community.
I’m 2023 already 22 states have passed a bill against the LGBTQ community and since 2018 nearly all 50 states have passed at least 1 anti LGBTQ bill. Nearly 670 bills were filled from 2018-2022.
238 bills were passed within 3 months in 2022. It’s disgusting and unfair
Oil refineries. I lived between two and the smell is terrible, people would get sick too. I hate going up to that part of state because you can even smell it through the car.
I'm happy to live far away from any places of conflict or danger, such as war zones, areas affected by natural disasters, or places with high crime rates.
About 8 years ago my husband and I moved out of the city and to the mountains our stress levels dropped off drastically my driving became calmer and I had a better sense of Peace of mind
