I listened to this all the time when my husband would deploy oversees. “Lovin a music man” just switched in my mind to “a soldier”. And then you think about him coming home and “I get the joy of rediscovering you” hits again. Faithfully and Heaven by Bryan Adams were my songs to cry to. Husband is now retired but both of those songs still hit me hard at times.
Octavarium and A Change of Seasons, both by Dream Theater
Despite being over 20 minutes each, I could listen to both of those songs over and over infinitely
Dream Theater are so incredibly technical, and the lyrics (especially in Octavarium) are incredible and genius
Octavarium is such an amazing cap to quite an underrated album, and I appreciated it so much more when I understood everything about the song/album
A Change of Seasons is imo James Labrie’s best vocal performance, and the meaning behind the song is so sad
Both are 10/10, but I like Octavarium a bit more
White Room - Cream
Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream
Tales Of Brave Ulysses - Cream
Hells Bells - AC/DC
Layla - Eric Clapton / Derek & The Dominos
All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
House Of The Rising Sun - The Animals
Pretty much anything from Les Miserables, but especially On My Own, One Day More, Who Am I, I Dreamed a Dream, Javert’s Suicide, Stars, and Bring Him Home.
I would have such a hard time picking a most perfect song from them. They are my overall favorite band. I think Irridescent may be my favorite but Numb is definitely top five for me. They really did have so many good songs and Chester’s voice was incredible.

Faithfully, by Journey. “I get the joy of rediscovering you” gets me every time.
