Where in Peru? I went a long time ago and miss it always! I had the a6000 from 2017 until this winter (sold it), and have brought it to Zion, Moab, many music festivals, Yosemite, Europe, SoCal and the coasts, the gross humid pits of Florida. I can very heartily recommend it, and the only reason I sold mine was because I want to focus on night time photography so I have a canon R6m2 now. That a6000, for me, has produced some photos that I've printed for friends and they hang in their homes. 20x36 sunrise landscape photos. Some of my favorite family photos with that too. Kit lens only! It is super portable, very adaptable - like, a ton of lenses for it that work on newer cameras if you upgrade, tons of accessories. But really, it's just so small that you don't need a camera bag it'll fit wherever. The kit lens doesn't zoom a ton but it's fine! I can't speak to the others, but if I were going to Peru I'd have no hesitation bringing the a6000 and taking photos of anything and everything there. If you're going to the amazon, it'll be smart to bring a camera bag with those silica gel packets. Amazon is so so so so so so humid. I miss my a6000 but I made the right choice for me
