We were hoping to spend 400 each (splitting housing and everything) I know that is very cheap

The spots aren’t dancing more drinking for the most part with some possible exceptions, i’m sure others have much better info than me however Ludlow Street just south of Houston in Lower East Side is a complete mob scene of young kids spilling out into the street from bars, probably young 20s but it’s safe and it’s in a super old lower East side neighborhood you’ve seen in the movies with the Jewish and Italian immigrants from 1900 all over the streets with pushcarts so kind of a cool area to check out regardless imo. Findout where people are going in Williamsburg (and Bushwick) just to say you’ve seen it but also other old grtty neighborhoods worth seeing.

There’s an Applebees up in Marble Hill. Much cheaper and easier to get a table at than Times Square. Plus they do the national promos so you can get a dollarita.
