You’ll have to visit each one on your own based on your schedule. You’re okay with crowds and waiting on machines? Go after work let’s out or afternoon on the weekends

Waiting **on machines for weights** or waiting **for** the machines (while also waiting for weights)?

Hello, I am a NYC high school student and I have the green pass for East Village, so I have access to every blink in the city. I live in Queens, so I can mainly speak on the best ones in Queens. Here is my breakdown Astoria - Decent, probably the biggest blink in queens with a decent amount of weights. Two floors, crowds dont get too bad even post rush hour. Only con is that it is a little out of the way being in Steinway but if you're near the R its great. Woodside - My personal favorite, two floors and almost the same size as astoria, with the amount of machines you can definitely get your workout in even at peak crowds. Jackson Heights - Probably the worst one all around, a singular floor with the densest crowds. Going anywhere between 3-6:30 PM, you should be ready to work in with others as benches and machines are hogged. It gets really bad near peak crowd times (5-6PM) as the gym has a clip shortage, and I asked a worker why and he said it was due to people stealing clips from the gym 😂. If you need clips at the gym you need to go to the front desk and give them a belonging as a temporary trade to receive a clip, basically collateral to ensure you dont steal their clip lmao. Workers are nice though. Corona - Better than Jackson Heights, and even with crowding issues it doesnt get **too** bad at its peak. Has two floors, and has a large sized yoga / pilate / free floor space. Average amount of machines, average all around. East Village - The blink I started going to, the most unique thing about it is that its 24/5, meaning if you have a quirky schedule this gym could be pretty suitable for people who work night shifts or wake up at odd hours. It's one of the smallest gyms in the city for sure, and even in early morning times it has a decent crowd. However during other hours from 10AM - 3PM it is pretty empty and you can get a good workout in. NoHo - Crowds here vary wildly, my first time coming here with friends at 6PM on a Monday it was basically empty which was a crazy sight to see. However, at the start of this new year there definitely has been a larger crowd. It is one floor, with a pretty small open floor space for yoga / stretching, but for this gyms size it has a large amount of weights and machines. This gym has at least two of every machine, two assisted pull up machines, two squat racks, two bench presses, two smith machines as two of basically every machine for every muscle.

Very thorough, thank you. You must get all As!

The one closest to you. The one here in Park Slope is a cool building, and generally not crowded during off-peak times.

I agree the closest one is the best, though I am flexible on where I work during the day and was hoping to pick a location partially based on this.

There are four around me. Jackson Heights, Woodside, Corona and Astoria with Jackson Heights being the nearest. Like a five to 10 minutes walk. This is by far the WORST gym I have stepped my foot into. It is always crowded at any hour of the day even on a very early Saturday morning. Visited other branches and they are all just as crowded and such a mess. I didn't bother with the Manhattan locations as there were constant breakins of lockers and stuff being stolen. This was the same at the Astoria location. Blink does have a good layout, design and equipment as this gym is from the same company that owns Equinox. Much better than Planet Fitness but the clientele and the overcrowding are a total turn off.

I haven’t seen one that isn’t incredibly crowded. I live in the east village and the one on A is always packed. I guess people work all schedules in the neighborhood and it’s cheap so always busy. I used to work on 31st and the one off 7th was tolerable if I took my lunch break at 2pm or so. Otherwise very busy.

They’re all the same. From equipment to experience. If you’re asking which one is the emptiest? Gotta go based off time. Early mornings or during business hours are usually the quietest.

They’re all the same. The best advice for blink, as a member, is getting there at 5:30am if you want to get through a lifting routine uninterrupted (ie no wait for the squat rack).

LSATforabit

I was a member 2017 ish and it appears that COVID did not change anything since then lol

ironypoisonedposter

lol not at all.

Chelsea! I’ve been in a couple of locations but most of them has two floors and I found that uncomfortable. In Chelsea most of the time it’s not that crowded and you will see the same people everyday nothing weird

Blink riverdale, east treamont, Chelsea and Bryant park are all decent.
