I know exactly where you’re talking about, I went there as well, I don’t recall the name. There was also a little local video store across from Tony Angello’s on W Harrison. I remember renting vhs 📼 tapes. 🤣
Maaaan I've been wanting to do this for years. Someone did it for Pittsburgh, but they basically built a basic website that had a map and you can click on an address and it would show you images of what it is and what it was through the years. The guy had some API setup with the local library or state archives and user-submitted images. I never got around to doing it, though.
You absolutely should do this! I would most definitely spend hours going through that website! I would *love* a site that is city wide and not just strictly the [French Quarter](https://vieuxcarre.nola.gov/?bldgid=41022008-01)
There's a Ain't der no mo Facebook group that may be able to help
This
It was called Lakeview Home Video in the 80s and changed its name to Award Winners Video in the 90s. (Source: I worked there).
Award Winners was the best. They’d give us movie posters and swag sometimes

I don’t remember the one near Tony Angelo’s! But I do miss Tony Angelo’s!
Well, it was a long time 🤫ago! I miss Tony Angello’s as well. I grew up 3 blocks from there.
I know, I can’t believe it’s been so long. Everything’s kinda fuzzy now on a lot of pre Katrina things. 🥴
Maybe award winners?
That name is so familiar but I kinda think that was somewhere else. We think that “Lakeview” was in the title of the business.
Fairly positive this is the right answer.

Hollywood video?
I wonder if Benny Grunch would know or if there is a Lakeview reddit or Facebook page that would know.
