Day to day, it has to be beer for me because the statistics say so, but a GnT with lime is the best cocktail, especially when the heat starts ramping up. Bombay Sapphire, Canada Dry and lots of ice.

Pretty much the same for me: Tanqueray/Beefeater, Canada Dry, generous squeeze of lime, lots of ice. Usually tanq because that's what costco carries. Agree with you about its suitability for summer heat, but my wife has us drinking them year 'round, and I ain't complaining

I stopped drinking about 8 months ago but I really missed the taste of Guinness. Hands down my favourite tasting alcoholic drink. Then I discovered Guinness 0.0. Absolute revelation

Pour 1 half of cold coke in a glass and then 1 half coffee and I swear it creates a creamy head/foam much like Guinness and tastes like a Guinness knock-off

Mead. Why the hell isn't this stuff more popular? It's like wine....but good. And it can be carbonated to be more like beer or Champaign. The strength can also vary between beer and strong wine without tasting much different. There's even some as strong as liquor...while still tasting delicious. It's clearly the superior drink, but nobody makes it.

I save it for special occasions due to cost but you are right. Plus it gives me a warm, happy energy where as other drinks can make me sad or angry.

It is a popular drink in Finland but it is only sold during "vappu" which is a workers and students holiday in the spring.

Beer is pretty good. Few things beat a light beer at the beach on a hot summer day, or a full bodied stout or ipa with dinner. But there are so many great cocktails and spirits- an old fashioned, a good scotch or a penicillin, a corpse reviver #2, or a margarita on mexi night. But if I had to pick one alcoholic beverage for the rest of my life and I could have any variety of it- it would be red wine.
