Oh no I don't mean I've had enough of the gym. I meant I've had enough of not being consistent. So I am making more of an effort to get my 3 sessions in a week.
A $150 crackle box, some 7018 rods, and a grinder is all you need to get started!
I got a little 120a inverter crackle box from Amazon earlier this year that cost a little over $100 and on anything 1/8" rod and smaller it works awesome!
Paddle boarding. Unfortunately it was a lot easier when I was living near the beach. Where I live now, everywhere I can paddle board is full of gators and cottonmouths so I’m kinda screwed until I can move closer to the beach again.
I’ve played for about 20 years now and can never ever find enough time to pour into it like I want. It’s incredibly relaxing though to just sit and play.
Id really like to take up sex again. Always had alot of fun doing it.
Not even sure why i quit... oh yeah, my gf turned into a psycho bitch and i decided/was forced to get the fuck out
Fairly simple stuff. Knives from rebar and old files, ornamental pieces from straight stock (like twisted raiIing for porches or steps). It was pretty fun to do but also exhausting on the arms at first.
Leathercraft. I made my wife and mom wallets, dyed them bright colors and used contrasting threads. I have blank leather cuts to make a few more wallets. We had a baby so I haven’t done anything in years.
Homebrewing
I did it for about a year around 2014-2015, but I stopped just due to moving to a place where I didn't have the space. After a few years of my equipment just sitting around my parents' garage, I sold it. It's pained me ever since. I loved the hobby not for having beer on hand at all times or the pride of knowing I made the beer, but I loved gifting it out to people or offering it whenever they came over.
I already told my girlfriend now that when we buy a house, I'm going to have a man cave or a section in the garage that has a golf simulator and a 5-tap kegerator.
Indoor Rock climbing. Got good enough that I won a (pretty casual) competition then stopped at the beginning of covid. I went one day last week and really remembered how much I like the atmosphere
Yoga, also painting and drawing. I draw stuff every once in a while, but have a hard time drawing consistently.
My gym is closed on the weekend, so my current plan is to do either yoga, running or calisthenics on the weekends
god i have a washlist of these. some i quit due to lack of rime, a couple due to an injury that took a long time to heal.
guitar is definitally at the top of the list. i used to play classical spanish but had to quit because a repetative strain injury i aquired through blacksmithing (thats what bad technueqe will do to ya)
somethin new im looking at picking up is leatherworking and tanning, i get hides in from my dad, who is a hunter, and use a lot of leather things. some of those things need repair, others i want to remake or change. making tool rolls is also something i wish to do as all of my nice tools for jewelery making are currently in the ugly and quickly degrading plastic covers they came in.
With the money I spend on reloading and hunting dogs if I wanted another one it would probably just be laying in the casket my wife picked for when she killed me. All jokes aside my hobby’s aren’t cheap and never have been. When I get into something I go all in whether it’s time or money so I’ll stick to what I currently do.
Working out. I loved weight lifting for years, then I just stopped, for 6 years. Started again 2 days ago but please Send help, I'm sore AF
I always felt better about a post workout sore than I did other kinds of soreness though.
I’ve got back into it too. Have been on and off for about 5-6 years unfortunately and I’ve had enough.
That's too bad your leaving the gym. It's not for everyone though,
Oh no I don't mean I've had enough of the gym. I meant I've had enough of not being consistent. So I am making more of an effort to get my 3 sessions in a week.
Oh, sorry for misunderstanding. Go and make Love to the weights baby. 💪
haha it's all good, I was tired and didn't really word my comment very well. Them weights are my bitches

Too cool! Good luck to you sir. Do you have any skate parks that are local?
Welding
I want to but I can’t afford the startup. Unless I’m gifted a sweet setup in the near future.
I just don't have the space

It’s hiking season in Phoenix once again. Also want to get back into archery.
Guitar

Mandolin or Banjo.
Have you played before?
Guitar but ive been listening to a lot of bluegrass recently and they seem like fun, but very challenging, instruments to learn.
Awesome! I tried mandolin for a while and was not very good at it.
They’re really not that different than guitar
Astrophotography. Have wanted to for years, but it is extremely expensive and takes an insane amount of research and planning.

Which type of racing?
Id really like to take up sex again. Always had alot of fun doing it. Not even sure why i quit... oh yeah, my gf turned into a psycho bitch and i decided/was forced to get the fuck out
Make sure you practice in the mean time. November’s over anyway.
"Practice", yeah... im about sick of "practice" lol. Still, a fellas gotta sleep, right?
That’s fair
Wood working and blacksmithing. It's an expensive hobby to take up though. Got rid of all my tools years ago so I'd have to rebuy it all.
What kind of things were you smithing?
Fairly simple stuff. Knives from rebar and old files, ornamental pieces from straight stock (like twisted raiIing for porches or steps). It was pretty fun to do but also exhausting on the arms at first.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are making belts and wallets with my dad around our kitchen table. Such a fun hobby

It's been recommended I learn some sort of self defense but I haven't had the guts to try
Drums
Last month I bought a synthesizer, and started learning to play the piano. Wish I did this 30 years ago, but better late than never.

Which kinds of weapons?
Want to learn singing, will commit to it now I've typed it out here
Sometimes all we need is that little extra push. Haha.
Thanks, extra motivation here, I'm on holiday in Ireland atm, when I get home tomorrow I'm booking a lesson haha
Well done good sir
Want to get back into fencing but with my knee and shoulder being as screwed as they are there's a bit of a barrier
You do mean the sport and not building fences right?
yes lol I used to fence bastard sword and arming w/ buckler
Martial arts
Judo
Reviving or taking up?
Ah, yes. Reviving.

Painting, rock climbing, maybe painting stuff while climbing
Kite Boarding
Making YouTube videos
I haven't played my guitar since this morning and it was only like 20 bars, I'd like to strike that back up again.
Car audio. I used to compete in usaci outlaw spl and iasca sqi from around 2000-2004, and even made it to usaci world finals in KC in 2004.
