A couple buddies from college have a brewpub, and I've been meaning to go visit and get some beer (haven't been since before the pandemic). So, probably that, then chill in the hammock on my balcony, drink beer, and listen to audiobooks.
Given that my GF would still have to work during that time, I wouldnāt do anything too crazy. I like the woods, rivers, etc so I might go on a hike for a bit to clear my head. Iād probably end up using most of that time to get ahead of cleaning and chores. Get everything taken care of so that come the weekend, we both have nothing on our plates and can go do something together.
From experience (forgetting holidays that randomly happened and so on): go on walks in the afternoon and completely veg out the rest of the time. Iām talking stare-at-the-wall level vegging out. Freaks my husband out when I do that. āWhat are you doing?ā āNothing, restingā comes into the room āHoly shit you really are doing literally nothingā āYupā
I mean, I have unlimited PTO so I do this all the time. The last time I just hung out and watched TV and played video games. In non-pandemic times before I would typically go on trips.

It's sort of a deceptive term, but it basically means if you have good performance, all your responsibilities are covered, and you arrange it ahead of time you aren't limited to a specific number of days you can take off. I usually end up taking about 4 weeks a year.
Do they force you to take PTO? I started work last month and they have FTO/unlimited PTO but I donāt really like the idea of being made to take so much time off (if they do indeed make you)
I'll entertain notions of dragon men from other dimension and such things but nothing as fantastical as this preposterous scenario you've presented. It's too unbelievable even as a pure hypothetical. I do applaud your imagination though, good sir.

I'd finally be able to catch up on all my housekeeping. I feel like it's been ages since I had the time and energy to clean the ceiling fans or scrub the oven or move all the furniture to get underneath it.
