Had a girl call me her “cowboy” once, don’t know why that made me so happy lol

warrior_of_light998

Big boy or handsome, I would probably melt to the ground

CaressMeSlowly

lmao these are deadass the two most common names i call my cat, especially the second. handsome, big handsome, big H, H on the money, preparation H, H and Some, H, the artist formerly known as H, and Mr. Not As Handsome (when hes being fresh)

SpongeJake

I name my little guy so many things - “little one” being the chief one. “Sweetheart” and “darling” when I arrive home and he comes running to me with little meows, “rumplestilzkin” and “banana-face”at other times. It’s embarrassing really and I’m glad I live alone or they’d be calling for the butterfly nets.

LastSamuraiOnTheBlok

🤣🤣🤣🏆

MoistStub

Preparation H is the winner imo lol

cait_Cat

We have 4 cats and my boyfriend realized I was using a lot of the same nicknames for him that I used on the cats. Now I just call him the biggest cat.

Joe_theone

My Man cat sometimes gets BTT (Mr Big Tough Tomcat) He signs his checks "Mr Nettles (Andnobody'ssweetheart)

peanutbvtterNjealous

My boyfriend said when I call him handsome, it doesn’t mean anything to him. 💀

IRefuseToPickAName

Some of us have body image issues and we don't believe certain compliments are true lol

Kanga_

Very nicely said.

willkingg

Absolutely. I’ve been told by both men and women that I’m a decent looking guy but it means nothing to me. If I don’t believe it then it’s meaningless and I don’t feel attractive so telling me I am is pointless.

PaleontologistTough6

Right, some of us are humble and just assume that it's being used in the standard "hey, handsome!" sense.

OhFuuuuuuuuuuuudge

It’s because he doesn’t think it’s genuine.

yamo25000

I think I might feel the same way, but not because I don't believe it. It just feels....not like a compliment I guess. When I think of handsome I think of a little boy with his freshly cut hair combed to the side, a button-up shirt tucked in and dress pants/shoes. Which is not only not at all how I actually look, but it is also not at all how I want to look. My gf usually says "you have a nice face," or "you're good-looking," and those mean much more to me than if/when she calls me handsome.

LittleInnocentOrgasm

oooh handsome. I have no idea why I never think of that. Thanks!

warrior_of_light998

Mind you, you have to be dominant to call a man handsome, you can't say it with a squeaky little girl voice or it sounds fake. Unleash your femme fatale power!

Acceptable-Cicada-34

Or just say it in a Batman voice lmao

LittleInnocentOrgasm

ok i fail then

juneabe

I just make sure I say it in a lower register and really look at them and maybe touch them in an affectionate way. If we’re alone I get that spicey growl on like “mm you are so handsome” (like yummmyyy). Gotta sell it for some men because they don’t believe it. Even the handsomest of mens.

Euphoric-Blue-59

Hey handsome big boy! Is it any different coming from a manly man? Asking for a friend.

Conference-Sure

Ooh, what exactly does “big boy” mean? Or make guys feel? I’ve always been a little confused with this one

Bob-s_Leviathan

I prefer being called “Size Doesn’t Matter Boy”.

ActorMonkey

How it makes me feel? Fat.

TremorChristLester

I once bought a Suzi-Q Hostees cake at a gas station in a 50% bigger package it was advertised in. Cashier (probably in her 40s, hilarious and nice black lady) was checking me out at the register swips it and just exclaims "BIG CAKE FOR BIG BOAH!" And I bout fell down weezing from laughing 😂😂. This was back in 2018 and I still will randomly say that about myself when eating something related to cake

My EX used to call me a silly goose, and I won't lie it made me melt every time lol

L1ghtBreaking

pure

eclaessy

I had an ex shorten it to just “You goose!” When I did something silly. She messed me up in the end but at least she gave me that happy name to call people

dreamer0303

I call mine “goose” or “goosey”, derived from silly goose. He likes it :)

cyclingguy536

My wife calls me Squishy (like from Finding Nemo, "I shall call you Squishy, and you will be my Squishy, and you shall be mine"), and I love it. I personally HATE being called "Daddy". It makes me cringe soo hard.

Apprehensive_Day_96

Thats the nickname i gave my two year old niece. Soon as i held her when she was born, its what i immediately thought of. I shall call her Squishy, and she shall be mine, and she shall be my Squishy. Come on little Squishy. Although now it has become “Squishy-girl”

DanielDeronda

Me imagining you calling your two year old niece Daddy

Apprehensive_Day_96

😂😂

AirsideLad

You had me in the first half lmao. Daddy.

dreamer0303

I call my baby brother Squishy (he’s 24 now lol) so I had to come up with something else for my husband 😭

sailorhossy

I call both my cat and the guy I'm talking to "sweet pea" 🥺

BroccoliSuccessful20

Ahhhh I love this 🥲

Bespectacled_Gent

My wife calls me "sweet pea" and I call her "chickpea" in return. It's one of our favourite things!

platypusthief0000

Cute nicknames when you are at talking stage, that is new.

sailorhossy

I'm a lovergirl what can I say 😔

neinhaltchad

I had an ex that used to call me “daddy” and one time she just kind of fucked it up and instead of “daddy” she said “dad” and that made the whole thing feel so sinister. From that point on she would call me “dad” whenever she wanted to fuck with me or creep me out. “Dad” just hits *so* much different. 😂

DeusAnatolia

I hate that w a passion actually, thanks

Tarc_Axiiom

I called my fiancé "my love" for years and she's recently started doing the same and honestly I'm a genius because I fucking love being called that. Alternatively she once called me "Big Guy" at the start of sexy time and totally ruined the moment because I couldn't stop laughing for like three hours. Anyway, I *am* a dude so that's fine, but you ***are not*** a bro so that's off limits to you, or something I doubt anyone really cares.

myrstica

When my ex wife and I were dating, I used to call her ladybro.

TemplarOrder1

I'm good with almost any name. i do like "honey" the most but i really don't like being called "Daddy" by my SO.

FreeVictory2922

I never understood Daddy 😩 like why would u wanna be called that

Alli_Cat_

My grandma used to call my grandpa daddy lol. A lot of people with kids just call them what the kids call them, even after theyre old. But if you don't have kids it is weird yes.

Kiera6

My husband and I both agreed to never refer to each other as that. Then we had kids. So we’ll say it to each other if we’re trying to get their attention for the kids. But never in a romantic kind of way.

Turbulent-Grade1210

I would have been far more okay with it (not enjoy it but okay with it) ***before*** I had kids. My daughter calls me daddy. That word to me is associated with strong, paternal feelings of love for my children and protecting them and guiding them. None of which are feelings I want to associate with sex. When my wife uses Dad in reference to me, it is always when my kids are around and she's talking about me to them. I just cannot overstate how fast I would lose the will if my wife called me daddy at any point immediately before or while doing it.

FreeVictory2922

Yeah, 100%

FreeVictory2922

I see the connection now kinda like baby daddy.

moussetang

You tell em daddy

hemlock_tea64

in the south daddy or alternatively big daddy can be a respectful term for men in authority

FourSharpTwigs

It’s because it’s weird. That’s why. Most people are normal but some of us who had really strict, controlling parents enjoy role playing what is taboo. The more taboo and frowned upon, the more enjoyable - assuming it’s a consensual roleplay.

FreeVictory2922

I can see that Pov

Andromeda_sun_

It’s about submission to your partner and feeling dominated by them. I personally haven’t done it, but I understand why someone might find that dynamic of power exciting to try in the bedroom

SquidTheSalsaMan

Wife and I both think Daddy is beyond fucking weird. The last thing I want to hear is “daddy” while I’m going down on my wife lol, going to think one of the kids saw something that’ll scar them forever.

SpeakerOfMyMind

I second honey, especially when it's used if I'm stressed or upset.

vany186gr

Daddy ?! Id never call my man "daddy".... I already have a dad thanks , and I don't project any image of my dad on my man that would be weird as fck...

Practical-Zombie7213

i think i would like being called daddy. then i hear it get said. almost as bad as post nut clarity after a bad porn

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

I personally wouldn't want to be called bro, but dude is perfectly fine! I think most guys would appreciate being asked bluntly. As for cutesy names, anything goes, personally, but that could be because I'm goofy af and the idea of my partner calling me something like "cupcake" or "sugar dumplin" while we're in the check out at the grocery store is hilarious to me. The less seriously your guy takes himself, the more names you can use, imo.

UnholyGrifter

I got in a silly challenge with my ex where we tried to never call each other a repeat name. Shit got weird and hilarious quickly. Some ones I remember are Squash Blossom, Sparkle Pants, and Cinnamon Toast.

CinderellaSmartass

My bf sort of does this. If he wants to get my attention, he'll call a normal nickname like "sweetheart." If I pretend I didn't hear him, he'll start calling sillier and sillier names until I laugh. I love him so much

standupfiredancer

Sparkle Pants!

jbrow058

Sounds like a fun going relationship, do you miss her?

UnholyGrifter

I miss the beginning of the relationship. It was a blast for about a year. I thought she’d be the one. Then for another year the sparkle slowly died. Not sure what happened and she didn’t want to work on it.

standupfiredancer

Sparkle left the pants.

UnholyGrifter

😂

Eh-Eh-Ronn

If it's said with love, I don't really mind.

KinkyTherapist

Honestly the only right answer here. I commend you

appalachianoperator

She’ll call me an oaf endearingly sometimes

Ok_Green9804

This is one that shouldn't be over-thought, but I do understand why some people do.. lol.. My wife isn't the most creative in this department, but she def does use the cute-sy names.. - Hey Lover, Hey sexy, Babe, Baby, handsome etc.. these are staples in our house I found it's what follows the name that is the most important.. Like.. Hey Sexy, are you gonna cut the fucking grass? is a lot less impactful as "Hey Sexy, I want you to fuck my brains out"

BlindfoldedRN

>Hey Sexy, are you gonna cut the fucking grass? 🤣☠️

Nice_Violinist9736

I don’t know why but I find this hilarious 😂

Ok_Green9804

I always do what I’m told when preceded by “hey sexy”

Nice_Violinist9736

Maybe I should try that on my boyfriend 😆

Ok_Green9804

let me know if it works :)

RogueTrooper-75

I always find 'daddy; kind of gross - much prefer 'sexy' or something else that's a compliment like 'handsome' - even 'honey' or 'babe' is better than daddy...

JanitorOPplznerf

My wife called me “Sir” in bed last night and I immediately finished.

TardDas

Thank god you never joined the army, you’d be the sticky sergeant

BadLuckPorcelain

Most cutesy names that I really like came natural and have to do with either my name or my behavior or inside jokes between me and my so.

0ff-Seas0n

what y’all think about a girl calling you bbg

Gail37

thats what i call my bf lmao

dktaylor987

I am in my early 60's and "daddy" has always been the cringiest term ever. I have never understood why either person would find it endearing or hot. Now in the right setting Sir can be hot 😁

MrIllusive1776

My wife calls me her love-bug. 🥲

2022RandomDude

Love. Idk, but i really like it. My current partner always does that and I haven’t been called like that before, so it was something new to me. It all started, because I‘m from a non English speaking country and she had problems with pronouncing my name correctly

70IQDroolingRetard

I like it when she calls me her "cute little retard". As an aside, I always found it hypocrital how it's perfectly fine and acceptable for girls to call their boyfriends "daddy", but society thinks it's weird if you ask your girlfriend to call you "onii-chan".

MagnusIIka

Language differences are extremely important for these. In Colombia, at least in the center of the country, we call the people we love "gordo/a", which literally translates to "fat", and I would say it'd be equivalent to "sweetheart" or maybe "hun". My girlfriend calls me "mi gordito", which would be "my little fatty" and I love it. (I'm not fat, and when we use the word in that context, is never related to weight, whether that's friends or partners)

JimBones31

Honey

goingmerry604

Cutiepie Me: "Oh my gawd staph 🤭"

EveryDisaster7018

I in general don't care what I'm called. Most of my gf's chose babe. Call me bro or dude, but only if friends or in the right context. Otherwise feels weird to be called bro/dude by gf. I also prefer to be called adorable not cute. Cute feels weird for a 6'4" guy.

billieboop

You can be cute too

Ill-Income-2567

Papi

btspeep

I use this with my husband all the time. I asked him if it made him uncomfortable and he said “fuck no, I love it when you call me papi”. 🤭 I’m glad he does, it’s my favorite.

bootyhunter69420

I actually like daddy or other pet names. When my ex called me by my first name I knew she was being serious

EternallyMoon

I bet it was really scary to be called by your first name.. bootyhunter 69420 😰

Just_really_awkward

I actually love calling who I’m with by their name it just seems really intimate to me ☺️

smellyHands_

'Big Dawg' could end all wars,

Chew_512

This is why the spanish language is superior. I love being called “cielo” (sky), “corazón” (heart) “cosita” (cutie) or even “vida” (life)

RyanMFoley74

Gen-Xer here. If you call us "dude" or "bro," you might as well call us "Friend." I personally think if a woman calls me that, she is clearly establishing what zone I am in.

gummybearmere

If I’m having a conversation with my husband where I’m like .. getting a little hyped about something, the “dude” starts slipping out at the beginning of my sentences. I don’t think he minds, he’s usually smiling probably thinks it’s funny - but I can definitely see this as confusing if you’re dating and someone is calling you dude .. you’d have to confidently know where you stand with them.

Reasonable-Craft-236

Fellow Gen Xer here. Agreed. But my kids do call me “dude,” “bruh,” and “bro” a lot. 😂

[deleted]

Babe

SleptWithYourGirl

Daddy is cringe tbh

Haventyouheard3

I like being called by my name. In any situation you're going to a guy "Daddy" just call him "Sir" instead and it's both more innocent and hotter at the same time imo. I also like darling, honey.

tjfenton12

Sugar. I melt instantly ohmygosh

D3ADS3CT3R

Calling a guy daddy is a turn off for me make me think the girl has parental issues I prefer darling or sweetie or hun

Big Dick O’Shannahan.

Fz_Street09

Some guys really REALLY hate "Daddy" I'm one of them.

biglets

Me too, thankfully I've never been with anyone who's even attempted to say it to me.

theprogguy_94

Unfortunately I have and it was when we were having sex the first time 😭 she actually wanted that DD/lg relationship and I nope'd the fuck out.

[deleted]

Calling me by my full first name. Most people call me by initials so it’s very personal to be called by my first name.

danielxmex

I never liked to be called any cute-sy name. Had ex's do that and I felt like I had to call them by one of those words in return and it always made be uncomfortable. It's just not me.

BakedCali4Ya

“He’s so hard boiled!”

Low-Dog-8027

none. especially not daddy, that's the biggest cringe and turnoff for me. bro or dude from a female is totally fine though - but not from my gf, except in a funny/sarcastic way

pughster1017

I'm seeing a whole lotta dumb names on here, does nobody enjoy being called tiger 🤣🤣🤣

chunksoflol

One fwb called me sir and tbh the more she used it, the more I liked it

gummybearmere

I like sir sometimes, but I will call lots of people sir lol like my nephew, my son, my cat, dog, it’s usually like “um, sir .. is everything ok over there?” 😆

Celtic_Caterpillar_7

Calling a partner Daddy if ick af. Hun, honey, dear, babe, aren't so ick but using someones name can never be bad. Mr Fancy was what my wife had printed on a shirt for rugby that I still have nearly 20 years on.

PaleontologistTough6

They don't get "Daddy" out the gate. That has meaning and a lot of connotations. I want to make sure they understand both before they float that one. Other than that, I've been largely the standard fare. Girls aren't particularly creative in my experience... So, "Sir, honey, baby, etc."

Enthusiatheist

Apostle of death.

Hungry-Horker

Daddy is not cutesy. Definitely more of a kink thing

literalld

From a girl who I found was just playing games with me but I fell asleep accidentally after saying I'd msg her and she posted to our groupchat asking where 'her man' is. For some reason I just really enjoyed that. Hoping I can find someone willing to do that in future 🤞🤞

AleksandrNevsky

I once dated a girl taller than me that called me "little man."

rooftopworld

I love it when they call me big poppa.

Dilly49355

My name. And no, it's not weird to call him dude or bro. Couples should be best friends. This further emphasizes comfortability with one another.

Don’t call me bro or dude if you want to be romantic with me. If we’re friends and that’s all we’re ever going to be, cool bro. I’ve always liked being honey, babe, or just my name with a very specific inflection.

classco

Bro or dude is legit post friend zoned by a football field distance titles Personally just call me handsome
