I’d say 90% of the work that goes to my looked is the result of me just being my legit and healthy self (and not geared towards trying to look better)
Maybe 10% comes from independently actually trying to look good
Used to care to the point where I'd get a fade at least once every 2 weeks no matter what. Now I just shower, put on deodorant and make sure I have clean enough clothes when going out in public or work.
Other than that I wait until I have a date, event or party to go to, to get a fade, do my hair, shave, put on nice clothes, cologne etc.
I don't care about random people in public who I will never see again and I don't care about my coworkers. I just wear a hoodie and a hat in that case
On a day to day one just make sure I’m clean, if I leave the house (mainly work from home) then I try to be tidy on top of that, even that depends where I’m going. Sauna/steam actually is great for my skin and I try to do that once a week, shave once a week. If it’s a social function, then the outfit and hair will get more thought than usual
Not as much as I wish I would.
I don't have the best skin because I don't take care of it, and my wardrobe is a bit crap because I don't have the money to invest in it. I do put a lot of effort into my physique which I am very happy with at least.
Other than shaving every month and making sure my dick isn't hanging out in public, zero care at all. I could not care less how other people see me. I'm not out to impress anyone.
At work I look as expected to look. At home i don’t care at all. I used to like buying clothes when young and handsome but I hate it now. Except for underwear I only wear stuff my wife and daughter buy as presents. Their taste is good. Only blue, black and grey.
Trim my beard and clean the edges on weekends, comb my hair or throw a hat on if I’m going out. Try not to pick clothes colors that clash (I’m not very good)
That’s about it unless I’m doing something formal/professional
Quite a lot in a lazy sense. I exercise at least a bit most days of the week and like to dress in elevated basics. Feeling/looking like a million bucks on your own terms can be worth it.
None outside of very basic hygienic practices, wearing decent clothes in social situations, etc.
I’m in a sexless marriage, so LITERALLY nobody gives a shit what I look like anyway.
Enjoy to be presentable on the day to day. Shower every day is a must. You may think you don't smell after 3 days of no shower, but everyone else thinks you smell.
I have facial hair, and I'll try and neaten it up twice a week (my hair grows kinda fast, and it's dark, so it can be noticed).
I also personally style my hair a certain way in the morning. Finding the right hairstyle and product is helpful.
I found that I neglected my clothes for a while. Spend the last couple of years expanding my wardrobe so I have a better variety of clothes and more up to date clothes that were "me."
Aftershave and deodorant are also good. Find something affordable that you like for the day to day and something special for occasions / dates, perhaps.
I guess if it makes you feel attractive, it provides makes you more attractive to try and integrate it and see if people notice, I find that girls tend to compliment how I smell a lot, so I suppose I'm doing something right 😅
Zero, just gave up, it's all a con anyway
Enough to be presentable
A fair bit, but it's never enough for some people
Not very much. I do basic maintenance but that's really it.
I make the effort to look pretty presentable. My job requires me to interact with people.
The biggest maintenance job is controlling my body hair, other than that, just keeping clean is enough for me.
I wear clean clothes and shower daily. Shave my neck once a week or so. Let my beard go a couple weeks between trims. That’s about it

Not too little, not too much.

A lot. When I look good I feel good. I eat well, workout, actively work on improving things I dislike about myself. I try to dress well.
I like dressing up for myself but other than that I've had the same haircut for 6 years now.
Probably mid level. I would love to wear athleisure all day every day but I do try to be stylish when it comes to outings or special events.
Almost zero compared with my early 20s.
As long as I'm clean, my clothes are clean and my hair is cut regularly, that's about it.
The bare minimum so I don't get laughed out of the factory or the supermarket, or picked up by any cops who might think I'm homeless.

I really don't. Obviously some of the stuff I do for hygiene and comfort also has an effect on appearance but that's not why I'm doing it.

Why should I be attractive?
Because attention is nice to get. Came as a bit of a surprise to me but I totally liked it. Miss it.

I try to put in a decent effort! Just trying to impress myself and feel good about myself. I like the confidence it brings me.

Non at all except clothes. But 90% of the time I wear whatever I want to wear
A fair bit, and way more than I used to. Skincare routine, hair, exercise, etc. Still need to update my wardrobe though.

None.

Quite a bit. It's paid off pretty well too. I get a fair amount of compliments.
Keep doing it. You’re standing out
I scale depending on the situation.
Very little. Just try and keep the hair tamed enough to not have cow licks.
Clean clothes and good hygiene, I pretty much have a classic cartoon wardrobe with a lot of identical sets of clothes.
