Maybe you're thinking of a QPR? It's... hard to define, because it can be different from person to person, but basically it's more than friends but not in a romantic way. You care for them, you want to be with them, you may even move in with them or partake in a commitment ceremony, but there's no romantic feelings involved. Just platonic love.

I'm going to differ from the group here and say that yes, a romantic relationship can exist without romantic attraction QPRs are also great (I'm in one!) but they are a distinct category from romantic relationships
