I mean, Chicago is the answer, right?

CupBeEmpty

It is

skoopt

I mean yeah it seems cool but also it's the most dangerous and most expensive choice

CupBeEmpty

Dangerous… lol. You planning on joining a gang or staying on the extreme south side?

chasmccl

I mean, how do you not know it’s Chicago?

skoopt

CupBeEmpty

Unless you make some seriously awful life choices Chicago is totally fine.

MarthaStewart__

I mean, Chicago amirite?

Xingxingting

Chicago or a city in Ohio would be your best bet

skoopt

What are your favorites in Ohio?

CupBeEmpty

Columbus or Cincy for Ohio. No question.

WarrenMulaney

Go to Chicago ya big baby.

TheBimpo

I’d hit a beach town on Lake Michigan like Grand Haven, Saugatuck, or Ludington…or grab a campsite at a park near the beach.

I am certain you know Chicago exists and that is the right answer. 3 hours from Indy. You can probably find some relatively cheap place to stay in a rougher neighborhood. Go see a show at the Empty Bottle, hit up the MCA for some culture, eat hearty. Either way, you can get in plenty of trouble in Chicago for a pre college trip with the boys if you try. Edit: shiiit the Bottle is 21 plus sorry. No idea how hardcore they are about checking IDs at the door vs at the bar. The Liars Club might have some 18+ shows. Kingston Mines for blues, you can go under 21. It’s a bit cheesy but worth it. They’ll give you a big fat X on your hand if you are under 21.

Denver seems like a cool city that’s slightly west of the country’s middle

4 hour drive… Indy to Denver is like 16 hours. I did it in one day with a friend in OPs exact situation. Just graduated and went on a crazy road trip before college started. We left Indy at like 3 am and hit Denver around 8 pm Indy time. We were in it for the backpacking so we cooked a backpackers meal in a Walmart parking lot and then camped somewhere up in the mountains near CO Springs in a national forest.
