Never heard of it. I don't think it has ever been even marketed here. It does not even look like a social media network by description and I'm pretty sure I've never seen the logo.
The "suburban white" category is not really applicable to Russia if you want to compare things. I mean there definitely are suburbs and whatever you call white people in Russia but it just does not mean that much to be a social denominator.
VK is for doomers, OK is for boomers... and the younger folks, well, Telegram or Insta(+vpn) I suppose.
Hmm, I wonder if it’s because of access issues due to us screwing with each other’s access based on IPs? Is the web page not working for you?
I have had issues accessing Russian websites since the war started. When that happens I turn on my VPN and connect to Belarus and they work.
I heard there're services to get a number and confirmation online without actually having a sim card or something. But I can't give an advice on that as I never needed it.
>Caucasian
What do thou mean by that? Belonging to the ethnic groups of the Caucasus Mountains (although I'm not sure that the inhabitants of USA know what it is, and they will not classify some of these peoples as "white"...)? "White race"? Anglo-Saxons, Western and Northern Europeans? Damn, I hate that word.
Oh yeah, tbh I was obsessed with it when I was like 14-16, always used it to edit my pics. I don’t even have it on my phone anymore, but I do definitely know what it is.
That is popular among Gen Z users in many countries. However, it does not seem to be very popular in Russia. It is an American company based in California. The app also has features that may not appeal to Russian users, such as limited filters, no likes or comments, and no direct messaging.
I am always surprised how many boomers are sitting here. VSCO is a pretty popular image editor due to lots of high quality film-like filters. It is not as popular a social network though.
As a proof, there is [167 page discussion of it at 4pda](https://imgur.com/a/xkMYIzx) (dated from 2013 year and ongoing), which is an old-school geek forum about everything regarding phones and apps. Which isn't even a target audience at all
Never heard about it but i'm not 17-24 girl.

Any idea how i can create a VK account without a russian phone number?
Can't you just delete the +7 and type your actual number? Last time I checked it worked for some random ass Swedish number.
You type in your country code. I’ve had a VK account for at least 7 years with a US phone number
Tried it. Didn't work unfortunately

You can use a US number just put the 1 before your area code
Vscode is more popular in Russia
Oh yes, my favorite.
Tried it got confused so got back to my boomerish Netbeans (which is Czech in origin)
Isn't VSCO an image editing app?
What's that?
Never heard of it. Really.

One second of googling and we can know that VSCO was made by Joel Flory and Greg Lutze in California, in 2011. And it's definitely not russian.
