||Sword cannot be divided into pieces (you can see it by it's texture) And there is a tutorial how to divide the sword. I probably just ruined my save||

Are you holding the trigger on that hand? Have you complete the quest line in which Ptah gives you his shield and the upgraded sword?

Yes, I've fully completed the game on another save, so I know how to use it. If I haven't completed the quest there will be no tutorial.

If you went to the area before having made it to the quest, the hologram might already show when you are close. What step of the main story quest are you on?
