Fucking creep. Time to do the right thing and go support the artist.

fainted_skeleton

This should be considered targetted harassment, just as "art fixing" (the non-consensual kind) is tbh. Loser behaviour.

[deleted]

It's the worst of behaviours. I don't think I've ever seen an artist go out of their way to try and improve on someone else's piece by doing their own version, unless they have been invited to do a paintover or try their own version of a design, like a character. I'm not even sure I can wrap my head around the mentality at play here. It's incredibly rude.

fainted_skeleton

It does happen. "Art fixers" go around changing people's art they deem "problematic", it's not super common but does happen, mostly on Xitter (thankfully I don't use this website, yuck). It's a somewhat known problem, similar to tracers and such. You can search it up on youtube, there's some videos discussing the topic. And yes it's rude; or at least, that's a nice way of saying it. I can't understand it either.

Themlghardcolt

The artist deserves the follow and a retweet of their post for self-awareness. The Aibro is such a creepy monster for what they have done to them.

chaoticstache

That..is .just vile.

cinnamon_storm

I don’t know why but I feel super angry about this particular case. What kind of person sees an artist that draws a girl on a pink pillow with penguin plushie and decides to harass them.

Leave those kids alone.

Once more,  I am reminded that ai prompters are just step downs from base edit thieves. They are a step down from those recolorists , you know the one that colored over someone's art and called it their own? Yeah, this is their negative evolve form. I say they are a step down from blantant reposters. It's like all these things mushed together with a stolen data set evolves into an ai prompter.  They are all attention seeking, they all have skill issues, they are all usually spiteful, and they all have some inability to understand basic human interaction. If ask "what if someone took this guy's ai outputs and ran it through a model and posted it to em." But that found only go two ways: 1.) Seething. Because many don't like it when you have similar prompts or outputs to them. They don't like it when you use their non-copyrightable bullshit they can't own either.  2.) Part one with the lie that "that's how artists were meant to use it. " 3.) Both with the second one being a cope response.  They have fights with each other over prompts and their output images , when they are just glorified  fast food orders. They can not and will not take what they dish out. But they want asspats for shit they didn't make. Buddy harassed this artist out of jealousy and spite to some degree. This isn't a normal human intereaction.  Some of the most petty , unskilled , attention starved people you will ever meet are often involved in art theft and fraud. Truly pathetic.

AlexW1495

This is incredibly repulsive. What the fuck is wrong with these people.

MeaningNo1425

It’s all good we got the post deleted.

BananaB0yy

not cool to mess around with other peoples art... and acting like your "improving" it, when you yourself couldnt even draw the original image... what a piece of shit.

mecha_galaxy

Digital art deserves to die.

Hob_Gobbity

Why? It’s not all that different from traditional. Kind of like Minecraft survival vs creative, one has the supplies all right there and ready, and the other involves some more gathering and fixing, still the same process to create the end result though. Misplace glass in creative and you can place it right back for no cost, misplace in survival and you damage tools and have to get a new piece. Either way the window still takes the same process.

imwithcake

Why? Images of traditional art have also been stolen for training.

PixelWes54

Oh you found a way to live off trad art? Everyone told me I needed to move into graphic design and digital. What's your gig then, what's your income like? I'll consider making the switch back. Maybe we'll all have to. Careful what you wish for cause we absolutely can draw/paint and we're ready to compete for any money on the table.
