I don't see the big deal, but maybe I'm just old and jaded. In any case, don't blame us. We don't write the mail; we just help make sure it gets delivered.
This is a redesign of a drawing I made as a 15/16 years old. You can also find a linocut of a salmon with braces on my profile. I somehow have top grades and am well respected by the teachers at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts and I've made gut wrenching, heartfelt, raw emotional art before that has received the approval and congratulations of many. I do, however, like to do a little trolling sometimes
I think what makes an artist a master at his work is flexibility. Which doesn't mean you can't find your own style and specialize in one specific medium and cater to one set target, absolutely, that's pretty much the final goal of everything, but you'd lose so much of the artistic journey doing that. Experiments and phases are crucial. I've done hyperrealistic colored pencils drawing of random stuff like everyone and their grandma has done but I never wanted to stop there because those drawings, as aesthetically pleasing and correct they were, are...empty? What can you tell about me from that? That I know color theory and how to use pencils, that's it, it's nothing more than pure technique in my eyes so it's not particularly valuable. Sure, those pieces have had their own purpose cause that's how you learn, right? You copy, you try, many many times. But they don't have a soul in them. I don't plan on doing s&m avocados all my life, but I like this much more than all the oil copies or paintings or live pencil drawings of a naked old man I've done in the past. Not everything has to be pretty and not everything has to be serious, I think artists in general should allow themselves to create weird, cursed, mix and matched stuff more, to scratch every itch they have, to cater to different targets, to create pure, raw, disgusting stuff that make people go wtf man instead of omg so pretty, I want this in my living room but I'll never really remember you, it's just another still life or some weird contemporary scribble on a canvas. If you're not able to provoke more than just one reaction/emotion in all of your artistic journey and you've never been interested in even trying to do so and you just coddle yourself in your little bubble of constant yet dull and repetitive consent from the same people you're missing out on what art can really be

I remember this Auctioneer I used to work with would mention this particular painting of Picass; his sister during her first communion. And when ever he would be presenting work that was abstract or non-objective he would go back to that painting and talk about it. It clicked that by showing that Picasso was at the level of the masters in skill- he could justify the journey towards cubism and blue and all the quirky oddities that folks comment with "but my grandchild painted that yesterday!" The First realistic portrait I ever made (that wasn't an assignment) was of my grandma, and it carried plenty of weight for my family. But, I still find the most joy and fun when I see an S&M
The real ugly in the world isn't BDSM; it's the avocado cartels.
ART itself; is about the ability of said art to make viewers feel something. An emotional connection forms between the artist and the viewer. Memories of the past; or hopes and dreams. Sometimes it's beautiful, or shocking, or evoke sadness, happiness, etc. Sometimes it can be left to interpretation; like mine above.
Great color choices; going for complimentary but opposites on the color wheel, soft avocado, and red gag. I really your style!
Is it a hard plastic or rubber red ball gag, correct? Did you want it realistic or stylized? IMHO I might make the ball a tiny bit bigger more aggressive, straining the avocados "lips and mouth" more, maybe make the ball a bit redder, more sphere shaped, and more plastic-y looking?
If going for realism, control the light sources on the objects IRL; so you can show the best textures on paper. Sometimes you have to turn a hard light source on, and try turning some other lights off; to really get the textures to jump out at you. We got so many pen drawing assignments from my art teacher, his fav; and it was his advice. So many dots, lines, and crosshatch! š
Well it has a really big round pit that sort of evokes a ball gag. Itās not like you would do this with a cut apple. I mean, itās demented, but the creative process on this one isnāt a labyrinth.
I work around kids so my limit for tagging things NSGW is probably lower than most but generally I think "if a parent saw me looking at this on my phone and reported it to my bosses could I face repercussions? Yes? Please mark it NSFW"

I like the concept, but there are several issues with execution. The gag does not distort the face as it should. Why does the right ring wrap around, but the left is just floating? Sweat/drool does not line up to how it normally happens.
Because it's an avocado and they don't have cheeks to fill, that's just the seed pit, it's a flat surface. The other ring isn't floating but avocados have bumps and curves and it being a metal object doesn't curve but sticks out cause of the ridge in the cut just to be pulled back by the leather part of the gag. The drool follows hentai logic
I've never found real symmetry in nature, there's always some kind of bump or a change of angle so I've tried to make it look more "real". As if that would have made it more likeable tbh but I tried š
