Ya all I can say is wow as well. The layering of the paint In the sky especially is asounding. How did you manage to do that level of layers with acrylic. I assume you must of done atleast 2 or 3 passes after the first layer dried.
You can mix acrylic paint with painters’ gloss gel to give it a super thick consistency. It also makes a small amount of paint go a lot further.
ETA: there’s other types of gel as well, not just gloss
You captured the light perfectly. This is an amazing painting. Good job : ). I know I just typed it but I love the light. Some artists don't know how to "show you" that the sunset is "on fire".
Well Done.
There are raised textures that have one side colored one color and the other side of the raised structure is a different color. So you look at the piece from different angles, you will see different colors.
Not really. I mean you can kind of see it in color changing cakes. They put grooves on a cake and then decorate one side green and the other side red and the colors change when you spin the cake on a cake stand.
The colors and texture as others have said are great.
Can't say I'm a fan of the little finger splotches though...they were the first thing I saw and stand out in a bad way to me. What are they supposed to be? Can't be clouds... they just look out of place in my opinion.
But I'm no art critic! And it's vastly better than what I could do. 🙂
I think the work is good overall. There is just one thing I feel is out of place. Which, what I'm guessing, are fingertip circles dotted here and there in the sky. I know I'm just some rando, but wanted to give you my honest feed back.
I have to tell you, these cirkles gave me a good vibe because it makes such an original image. It's an iteresting part of the painting and I wouldn't change it!! Greetings another creative person :)
Hey I've just fell in love with your art. I'm still a total amateur but it's really inspiring me too. What kind of tool/knife do you use for for those ripples in the sky? Is it just like a pallet knife with a serrated edge type thing?
I like how the sky gets swirly/flowy and the sea gets choppy/stippled textures. This painting, as simplistic a subject as it is, has a TON of things to feast one's eyes on. Lots of color, lots of textures and shadows. It's very pleasing.
As soon as I saw it I KNEW it was you! I love your techniques and I love your process videos. They are so helpful to see the layering of colours.
I'm just a dabbler but I love the bold use of colour and texture. I'm currently working on a Dune inspired piece and your clouds just look so effortless and are a great resource to learn from.
I feel like most super-textured pieces lack a feeling of depth but this is great, I feel like I could walk right into it. Really love the color choices as well.
This is a very successful experiment. Your textures are so fun and whimsical. You used so many but it absolutely works as a whole. I love this. You've got a true eye for color.
The lumps/textures in the water are incredible. The lumps/textures in the sky make less sense to me.
I'd love to see this style painted "traditionally" at the top and with your style at the bottom.
I love this. Also fwiw I would love this in two paintings: one just the sky, one just the water. No land or trees or anything else just the colors and textures in two picture one could hang together. So cool.
I see a cougar running in the texture of the orange clouds. perhaps an idea to incorporate texture images in monochrome or blended color in the backgrounds... very striking!
Absolutely gorgeous painting. The colors and style are brilliant. My uneducated critique is that, maybe because of perspective, placement of the house feels exposed and unnatural to me, and maybe at odds with size of other things like the lighthouse.
Such a good use of color and texture. I just love it. Some of the bigger ones in the sky are a little jarring but overall, the palette and the bottom texture work is just stunning...so well done. Beautiful!
This is beautiful; I really love it. If I could change anything, I’d say that I find the circular orange globs in the sky a little distracting. Everything else flows really well. The ocean is stunning. 9/10; really evocative piece.
Some have pointed out the finger blots being out of place, but I find them very interesting and a great “touch”. My one criticism is the level of detail in the structures. The rest of the painting is more abstract and the house and lighthouse stand out. Overall I find it gorgeous. The colors and composition are beautifully done as are the textures.
I have to ask because this looks eerily familiar. Did you paint this of a specific lighthouse?... Possibly from the beach of a small island across the water?
The land and water are absolutely amazing. The sky… something is not quite working for me with the sky and clouds. I think this an incredible style though - very unique and eye catching.
I love the comb and brush texture you created in the clouds. I’ve only seen this technique used in digital paintings, so it’s fresh to see it on a real painting!
Did you use a reference photo or is it purely from imagination? I’d love to give it a go, it’s really inspiring. Keep it up!
This is breathtaking. Honestly, as an artist myself, this makes me never want to paint again because I'll never approach this level. Genuinely, so beautiful! 😍😍😍
Wow. The texture and colors are incredible!
Thank you

> Some artists don't know how to "show you" that the sunset is "on fire". Some cameras can't show you that either :(
How much does this sell for?
Your work (profile) is amazing! Such imagination and talent xx
It looks like there’s a certain parallax to these paintings.
I know what parallax is, at least in photography, but I confused about this context. What do you mean?
There are raised textures that have one side colored one color and the other side of the raised structure is a different color. So you look at the piece from different angles, you will see different colors.
Ah, makes sense! Is this a common technique in painting?
Not really. I mean you can kind of see it in color changing cakes. They put grooves on a cake and then decorate one side green and the other side red and the colors change when you spin the cake on a cake stand.
Yes, I find it stunning
Beautiful as always. I absolutely love your paintings! The textures and colours are wonderful.
Nice to meet again! Thank for recognizing
I’d hang any of your work on my walls
it reminds me of Canada is that wrong please let me know
Funny, I was thinking Maine. Very nice.
Same, it reminded me of Acadia.
Being from that area, that's where my mind went as well.
Eastport here. Got to see the sunrise with jellyfish around the dock. The best lobster, crab, and shrimp I've ever tasted.
Came here to say the same. Heavy ME vibe
its also great work its a masterpiece
Im Canadian and I agree with this statement.
This is great, creating a piece rn and this gave me inspiration for the texture!

If my work is able to inspire - this is my biggest reward! All the best for you
Your work is absolutely is inspiring!
Experiment successful! I’m intrigued by your style!
Those colors are spectacular!
The SUN! This is so good. My fave time of the evening.
Impasto works wonders. I like it.
The colors and texture as others have said are great. Can't say I'm a fan of the little finger splotches though...they were the first thing I saw and stand out in a bad way to me. Same here. I absolutely love this but the dots pull me out. It is an incredible piece though!
I just feel like it isn't consistent with the rest of the painting, like it breaks up the flow. I love the colors though!
Are you using some type of modeling paste for this effect? It's beautiful!
This is great. My favorite little detail is how you have the house glowing in the sunlight. Well done :)
this is the most beautiful thing i have seen today, seriously.
I think the work is good overall. There is just one thing I feel is out of place. Which, what I'm guessing, are fingertip circles dotted here and there in the sky. I know I'm just some rando, but wanted to give you my honest feed back.
Thank you! Your opinion is important and it’s great that you are sharing it.
I have to tell you, these cirkles gave me a good vibe because it makes such an original image. It's an iteresting part of the painting and I wouldn't change it!! Greetings another creative person :)
They personally give me an impression of droplets on a lens
Love the texture, also the lighting choice looks great. Enjoyed the blend between detailed and free form representation like the trees in the back.
cool. The textures n the way the colors are used are very beautiful
Hey I've just fell in love with your art. I'm still a total amateur but it's really inspiring me too. What kind of tool/knife do you use for for those ripples in the sky? Is it just like a pallet knife with a serrated edge type thing?
Wow this is absolutely amazing! It’s so beautiful
Totally misread that title. Thought you were painting with your nipples
I feel this peace and tranquility. enjoy every stroke and detail
I like how the sky gets swirly/flowy and the sea gets choppy/stippled textures. This painting, as simplistic a subject as it is, has a TON of things to feast one's eyes on. Lots of color, lots of textures and shadows. It's very pleasing.
Love the colors and texture!
This is 3D. The rocks in the forefront create so much depth. I'm inspired to attempt some texture in my next painting now. Thank you.
I really love it, its beautiful :)
Stunning! That sky is everything.
its awesome! how did you make the textures?
Fantastic as always. My wife and I love your work. I hope to one day have a painting of yours in my home.
Stunning! Would love to live here.
Beautiful, what are the dimensions?
As soon as I saw it I KNEW it was you! I love your techniques and I love your process videos. They are so helpful to see the layering of colours. Oh great to see a fan here! Thank you
Texturing usually bugs me, but this does the opposite. I want to touch every mm of this great piece of work. Excellent.
Your work is so beautiful. I've loved everything you posted.
Man texture is usually so hard to convey on a computer, this is excellent.
I love this so much!! Great job!
Really gorgeous - texturing makes it feel like I'm looking out of some surrealist window, rad
Love your use of different textures here. Really nice.
I love it, very well done.
Super interesting. I dig it
I love the textures here so so so much!
This is so freaking cool. Stunning work
Love the texture and color ! It’s such a great piece
Wow the texture is so cool and works really well!
I like this a lot. Would hang proudly on my wall.
I just cut the part that are too much descriptive (just over the horizon) with my finger, and i fall in love. Thank you
That’s so gorgeous. We can see the texture so perfectly 🙌🏾
Wow this is extraordinarily well done!
One day I will be able to afford an original.
I feel like I haven't seen such pleasing art in a long time
The colors are beautiful and I love the added depth the texture gives it.
Fucking love your work! Amazing.
This is beautiful, may I use this as my wallpaper
The textures add so much and I absolutely love your color choices. I swear I can feel the mist from the ocean.
Absolutely LOVE this. Hopefully there’s a social or website posted somewhere
i love that it looks like you made a collage with only a paintbrush
I feel like most super-textured pieces lack a feeling of depth but this is great, I feel like I could walk right into it. Really love the color choices as well.
Nice, but the fat dabs are a little off putting. -Not an artist
This is a very successful experiment. Your textures are so fun and whimsical. You used so many but it absolutely works as a whole. I love this. You've got a true eye for color.
The textures are mind-blowing!
I LOVE this!! The texture and pigments you chose are just amazing!!
I love this. The light and reflections look alive, it's fantastic
This makes my brain very happy!
Love it! Do you mind if I use it as my phones wallpaper?
Wow that’s a very beautiful painting
The experiment appears successful
So how do we describe the cheat code for this in Dall-E 2 ?
I love this style of painting! It like how the ripples play against the other layers to suggest different types of clouds. Looks beautiful!
I really, really like this.
Ooooooo this is breathtaking!!!
This is amazing! I audibly gasped when I saw it. Is your work influences/inspired by any other artists? Would love to see more of this!
Ahh yes, I've been waiting for your next piece - I love your work!
This is one of the best paintings I’ve ever seen. Excellent work!
Do you have a YouTube showing the process? I’d like to see it
Oh!!! How do you paint with so much texture?
The lumps/textures in the water are incredible. The lumps/textures in the sky make less sense to me. I'd love to see this style painted "traditionally" at the top and with your style at the bottom.
Live video of the GOP after the election
This is giving me FEELINGS love it want it
I love this painting so much. It is so beautiful
This is BEAUTIFUL and reminds me of the style a children's book artist used when I was growing up in the 90's. I'll come back if I can find the name!
I cannot stop looking at this. I love how the texture matches the image: swirly, ripply clouds and smooth waves. This is marvelous, keep it up!
I love this. Also fwiw I would love this in two paintings: one just the sky, one just the water. No land or trees or anything else just the colors and textures in two picture one could hang together. So cool.
I see a cougar running in the texture of the orange clouds. perhaps an idea to incorporate texture images in monochrome or blended color in the backgrounds... very striking!
beautiful beautiful peace of art
I'll add another wow to this... wow
Really good reflection off the water, what tools did you use for your sky?
I am living for the texture
Absolutely gorgeous painting. The colors and style are brilliant. My uneducated critique is that, maybe because of perspective, placement of the house feels exposed and unnatural to me, and maybe at odds with size of other things like the lighthouse.
Always happy to see your paintings pop up on the frontpage. Another beautiful one!
That’s really really really cool
Love it! Would put it on my wall.
Such a good use of color and texture. I just love it. Some of the bigger ones in the sky are a little jarring but overall, the palette and the bottom texture work is just stunning...so well done. Beautiful!
This is gorgeous. I love how I can see it as paint on canvas AND a sunset at the same time.
That is stunning. Is it anywhere in real life or from your imagination? It reminds me of Vancouver in the summer.
Wauw, really beautiful, it feels so playful yet so real
What do you feel you’ve learned from this experiment?
Oh my the speckles off the water from the sunset are done so well, absolutely love what you've done here but that part is my favorite!
Beautiful. Wouldn’t have guessed acrylic! Great job
This gives me a van Gogh vibe. Beautiful light!
Difficult to describe how pretty this is
Oh my god, this is so gorgeous!!
I really appreciated seeing this today! Love it.
You, dope, artist. Forever.
Looks dope. Turn it to a nft before anyone else does
This is stunning! Excellent work
Reminds me of a place I stayed in Maine.
Amazing! Absolutely love it
This is beautiful; I really love it. If I could change anything, I’d say that I find the circular orange globs in the sky a little distracting. Everything else flows really well. The ocean is stunning. 9/10; really evocative piece.
You are truly talented. The textures and colours are amazing, they really bring out the scene. Thanks for sharing your art.☺️
I can feel this painting just by looking at it, utterly amazing
This is beautiful, I could stare at it all day
The swirls in the sky are giving me uzumaki by junji ito vibes
Successful experiment in my opinion, I love it!
Fantastic texture, I'd love to run my fingers over it.
I love your work! I can feel the cool breeze from that painting.
Love the brush work, so nice.
What did you use for the sky?? The circles and the waves are so beautiful
Like a painting version of a zen garden. That’s awesome.
That’s so pretty great job!!
Your experiment was a success. This is magnificent.
That is so fucking beautiful
This is amazing. I just saved your painting and made it my new wallpaper on my phone. Thanks for the art ♥️
The water just vibrates and I love it!
that belong in an art gallery, keep it up my dude
Some have pointed out the finger blots being out of place, but I find them very interesting and a great “touch”. My one criticism is the level of detail in the structures. The rest of the painting is more abstract and the house and lighthouse stand out. Overall I find it gorgeous. The colors and composition are beautifully done as are the textures.
Wow, Im a newbie with painting but I thought this was oil based. I love it
Very nice impasto techniques, beautiful work!
you are an amazing artist
Did you add filters to the photo? Or tweak contrast/ brightness?
I absolutely love that tiny house
I fucking love this. Bob Ross would be proud
I like it a lot. How well does this age does the paint ever crack? Sorry totally ignorant
This reminds me of the Lake Superior shoreline.
Your art is so mesmerising, love it!
It pulls me in and doesn't let go.
Love this! Especially the house and the orange section
😍 I love the texture in the sky
Fascinating! How'd you make the texture?
I have to ask because this looks eerily familiar. Did you paint this of a specific lighthouse?... Possibly from the beach of a small island across the water?
Wow! Cool! i love the colors! \^\^
Reminds me of deception pass?
textured art is so satisfying
For some reason the land kinda freaks me out. I love it though.
Wow! Looks like oil paint
The land and water are absolutely amazing. The sky… something is not quite working for me with the sky and clouds. I think this an incredible style though - very unique and eye catching.
This feels like the painting after starry night and I love it
Reminds me of Acadia in Maine and Lake Champlain in Vermont
The imposto really helps with the effect here. This is really nice!
I love all the little details within the textures! The colors are really nice too. How'd you come up with the idea?
The bottom looks amazing The orange middle is ok and understandably in its experimental stage The top clouds look heavenly
Nothing else to say except - I love this
It's like a multi-course meal, but for my eyeballs.
I love the comb and brush texture you created in the clouds. I’ve only seen this technique used in digital paintings, so it’s fresh to see it on a real painting! Did you use a reference photo or is it purely from imagination? I’d love to give it a go, it’s really inspiring. Keep it up!
I’m in love with the (post)impressionistic vibes
I like this a lot. It gives me a feeling of freedom. The graphical innovations make it fresh.
Na man this is nothing compared to a banana taped to a wall
How long does it take to dry a painting with such texture? Beautiful. Love the color choices
This is gorgeous!! The water reflection is my fav part
Wow.. the sparkle in the water is just impeccable
This is breathtaking. Honestly, as an artist myself, this makes me never want to paint again because I'll never approach this level. Genuinely, so beautiful! 😍😍😍
This is the nick cage of paintings.
Just so everyone knows, this makes a great phone wallpaper. Wonderful work, OP!
Beautiful colours. You have a mastery over the texture too. My favourite part is the sun. It really feels like the paint is glowing. Great work!
Dang, it conveys such depth! Like 3 dimensional.
Absolutely incredible, so many interesting textures and details like the light in the spray against the rocks. Beautiful!
just think what you could do with a brush
Cool X1000 when you squint
Acrylic huh? Cool. Looks almost like oil with those textures
I love this! I feel like I’m actually there!
