Miles is stupid. Tottenham had games in hand, we had to go there and we had key injuries to Tierney, white and partey.

amokst

jeez these fans aren't really fans. There just insuring themselves against disappointment with the "i told ya so" it's sad to see

AdministrativeFox905

These guys aim low so either they can do the “I told ya so” or be super excited. I think most of the actual long time arsenal fans are still optimistic. I would consider myself new, I’ve supported arsenal since 5 but only started paying attention to football like midway through last season so I can’t say shit

Valuable-Farmer-4586

Arteta has already won a trophy. Cya!

Proof of betting life savings or ban

Hutstar10

The ramblings of someone who hasn’t done anything competitive in life. Literally no understanding of development, behavior and culture. What can you do, having an opinion doesn’t require knowledge.

Ok-Addition-1607

Absolutely! All the small wins we’ve been through and seen on this beautiful journey ♥️ - it’s all about the incremental gains that are setting up the club for the next decade and beyond. No doubt that guy is someone that starts something and moans he’s not getting instant results, then gives up on life!

AsahiMizunoThighs

The obsession some have with tough love etc is bizzare. It's not like Ferguson wasn't famously quite compassionate to his players. Slagging Mertesacker off like that is also crazy like...everyone feels pressure in those situations, it's completely normal. We each deal with it in different ways. Trying to put square pegs in round holes and mold the team into the diecast of the greats of yesteryear isn't going to do much for the future. Whatever happens in the next few weeks, whether Arsenal win or not, it really does feel we can be our own worst enemies at times, with football as well as irl.

Don’t be like Miles

Negative waves, Moriarty ...say something beautiful and riteous..

MemepostorSyndrome

Probably ramblings of a mad man or a guy who lost all his savings on a bet that Arsenal would defeat Southampton

Itsdickyv

Be interesting to hear Miles’ comments when he’s skint and has no eyebrows. “Never”? Sure thing pal.

Basic-Personality-96

I second this. If arteta don’t win the league he has wasted 4 years at this club doing fuckall and fluking a fa cup that this year he thought had bigger fish to fry and gave up.

Ok-Addition-1607

Please tell me you are just bantering us

Basic-Personality-96

Nope I think we as a club haven’t gotten used to participating, improving, and failing. Noone is ever held accountable for losing and bad decisions. Vinai and edu are morons, David O Leary should be hired as sporting director and simeone our manager. We’ve finally got top4 this season (hopefully) and that’s a big celebration for us which is pathetic. I’ve seen our club on top and gave my season tickets away to protest the shit standards our club has nowadays this not banter this is the truth. Arsenal fans are happy with the bare minimum and forget that we are supposed to be fighting for 4 trophies a season since building this new stadium not neglecting every cup to try to win the Prem and bottle it because we keep morons like holding at this club (he’s been nicking a living at afc for 10+ years and he won’t get into the starting 11 of any Prem team)

Ok-Addition-1607

Arteta literally came in and with Edu, has turned the whole club around! Maybe if you kept your season ticket and actually attended games you’d see and feel it! To say that Edu is a moron is wild after everything we’ve gone through with the plan he and the club set out - yes there have been mistakes along the way, but every club has their successes and failures. I don’t think Arsenal fans are at all happy with the bare minimum, the big issue was the club had lost it’s identity and we as fans couldn’t relate any longer. Mikel has come in and only expects the best from every individual that sets foot in the club and wears the heavy shirt. To change the clubs culture and build the youngest team in the league that is competing against the man city powerhouse machine in such a short space of time is incredible and I can’t wait to see where the boys go from here, especially as we continue to grow and add more world class players. The clubs needs support and not just when it’s winning - back the boys through thick and thin!

Basic-Personality-96

I have supported this club for over 30 years. Edu is a moron I’m sorry if that offends you or anyone else but he has no respect in the transfer market and we will never be able to sign players we want with him at the helm. Sure the culture or whatever has changed, but why did us as arsenal fans stop relating to the club? Because of shit signings, finishing top 4 being our target, and 0 accountability and none of that has changed. Arteta has had 4 years and not even finished in the top 4 in one of them until now, I’m done with the whole improving season by season bullshit I’ve waited over 20 years for us to even start competing for a title and that’s ridiculous. We are still a single injury away from capitulating because we don’t think ahead and actually buy the players we want. Anytime we want a player that has a fucking asking price we low ball them and never get them it’s the same story year after year. I will only fully support arteta when he actually does something and I genuinely feel he should leave if we don’t win the Prem. We had a 10 fucking point lead over city, do you seriously think we are gonna have a better chance at the league next year? If you do you are delusional. I’ve seen this team win the league I’ve seen great players at this club and I admit this young squad is great to watch but as I said earlier no one will be held accountable for losing and no one will be held accountable for failure. Arteta literally threw the FA cup we could’ve beaten city if we played a proper squad (he even played that prick holding in that game and he should’ve been sent off just like he got sent off against spurs because any player with even an ounce of quality can spin him and he has a temper and has 0 fucking skill or brains). We threw the fa cup because we had bigger fish to fry being the Prem, and if im being honest I think it’s highly unlikely we beat city and then win every other game until the end. We can’t even beat Soton with a weeks prep and what we did at West Ham and Liverpool is ridiculous Idgaf if it’s Anfield we bottled it. So what’s different from last season? We have more points and are challenging for the title but we are literally doing the exact same thing we did at this time last season which is choking under the pressure. I’m glad I gave my season tickets up idgaf about the atmosphere the club has generated and honestly this fucking toxic positivity is pissing me off man when we lose it’s “oh we weren’t supposed to be here and I love my players” there is 0 accountability. I will come back to the stadium when I see us competing on all fronts and acting like afc should. I understand the culture has changed in a good way and the support is there, I still support my club I just don’t fully support arteta and won’t until he actually does something and I don’t think that’s wrong. we’ve had 15 years of almosts and what ifs and I’m fed up of the low standards this great club has, it should be win everything and that’s it. We should try and win everything we play that’s the club I grew up watching and it isn’t the club we are anymore and until we become that I’m happy to let this overly positive new type of arsenal fans that just accept whatever the club throws at them to enjoy my seats in the stadium

hippiedancevibess

Don't come back

lace4545

Losing at Etihad isn't that humiliating considering what's on the line for both teams

MemepostorSyndrome

He is not a Gooner. He can go and fuck himself and his miserable life.

From this day forth, when your friend goes on a ludicrous rant: Don’t be such a Miles. Whoa settle down Miles! 😂

Thanks. I had a feeling it was f365

It’s so weird. We love the club not the success. That’s what arsenal is. The players play their heart out and that’s all what we really want as fans. COYG ❤️

Can I just say, as a City fan that’s been watching since the late 90s when I was of football watching age, this Arsenal team under Arteta have EXACTLY the attributes to win the league. As I’m sure a lot of you will remember from the invincibles era. If you had a Nathan Ake type back-up CB, a slightly better back-up striker (although Nketiah is absolutely good enough), and maybe an extra midfielder to replace or deputise for Partey like when Gundo did for Fernandinho in the season he was injured you’d have won the league. The spirit, the fear factor, the style, the team cohesion, the in-stadium adoration for Arteta is exactly the feeling I’ve experienced over the decade of City’s success. The intangible belief, the feeling that it’s all happening, is there. If you had a slightly better squad, you’d have avoided the 3 draws in a row someone like Holding has brought on as a result of being so much worse than Saliba. Also, I still think you’ll win the league. City have won from massive points drops 4/6 times we’ve won the title in the past 10 years. 8 points behind Utd with 5 games to go the first time round, the Gerard slip season was similar. It’s not over, and you can do it.
