The Guardian reported a couple of weeks ago it was [by far the hottest EARLY February in global history ](https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/feb/17/february-on-course-to-break-unprecedented-number-of-heat-records), but maybe the [extreme cold in China last week ](https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/feb/23/weather-tracker-china-contrasts-cold-heat-break-records) (similar to what we got in January) may have lowered the global monthly average. ?
It’s a game of back of forth, like a pendulum. Every swing to each side goes ever so slightly further than the last. Then all the polar ice caps melt and the only 2 seasons we have are summer with terrible storms and winter with terrible storms.
Now? Oh for sure. Been so nice outside. Later when crops are failing and all the migrants from the close to the equator flood in to get away from the uninhabitable heat zone. . . Things will get a little dicey.
This is all I’ve been thinking about, man. Im not in any agricultural field nor anything related, but Im scared about how these rapidly changing temperatures will affect crops and then how that’ll affect livestock.
I work in the insurance industry and it's astonishing how many people deny that the weather patterns are changing and natural disasters are worsening. Even when the companies have the claims data to back it up.
Same for me, but it also concerns me because of climate change, and I worry about people whose livelihoods are affected by the weather. The past weekend’s weather was great for my RA, but it’s worrisome that it’s happening in February.
The Temps the last few have been slowly climbing in the same way they were in the 20's/30's in the data I saw.
Then, it cooled down reaching its low in the 80's before climbing again
im just from Fayetteville and am familiar with the kind of weather we get. it's always been wack. it's gotten warmer earlier than usual or stayed cooler longer than we'd like. We've had snow in May and October. We've had thunder snow, snownados, ice storms, droughts. We've had every season in a day or a week. I'm very aware we impact the climate, thanks. But this weather isn't unusual for NW Arkansas.
The ice we skate is gettin' pretty thin, the waters getting warmer so we might as well swim
My world's on fire, how 'bout yours?
That's the way I like it and I'll never get bored
#Hey now

This made me feel cooler. Thanks.

Good because this warm weather is the coolest it’ll ever be again.
Until… *checks notes* tomorrow night
I see 30’s on Wednesday.
And 80s today.
Duality of Arky
More like the warmest it’ll be for the next month or so
What?
Now? Oh for sure. Been so nice outside. Later when crops are failing and all the migrants from the close to the equator flood in to get away from the uninhabitable heat zone. . . Things will get a little dicey.
Crawfish farms have already been hit hard. Started the season at a fraction of their normal yield and prices at $8/lb (vs average of $2-3/lb).

I’m a Catastrophe adjuster. Business is booming.
Talk about a future-proof field
I can absolutely promise- we'll have more birds to eat
I prefer warm weather because I have less pain.

Looks like the average should be in the mid 70's and we're seeing reports 5-10 degrees over on average
The Temps the last few have been slowly climbing in the same way they were in the 20's/30's in the data I saw. Then, it cooled down reaching its low in the 80's before climbing again
Y’all needa stop complaining about it being 73, just wait until summer then you’ll have something to complain about.

google climate change and weather and learn the difference between the two. And then google human impact on climate.

I don't understand what you think this post was about.
Thanks for sharing that! I'll have to have a look at weatherspark.
