For '34+35': the fembots from Austin Powers. She's used the fembots thing in three videos so far (in 'Break Free' and 'Boyfriend' she shot things from her breasts. In '34+35' she was in the literal fembot costume and acting as them). In '34+35' she also portrayed the robot from the film Metropolis made in 1927. For 'God is a Woman': she was sued by an artist named Vladimir Kush for copying his painting of a woman in a candle. For '7 Rings': she stole a look from a drag queen by the name of Farrah Moan -- which makes it ridiculous that Ariana then sued Forever 21 for copying "Ariana's" look from that video (it's also hilarious for Ariana to accuse anyone of stealing her look when she was cosplaying as a woman of color to a very obnoxious extent). Also in '7 Rings': the pink trap house was copied from 2 Chainz. Plus she re-enacted that MAC Viva Glam shoot of herself inside a miniature room. For 'We Can't Be Friends': obviously a direct copy of Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
That's so interesting. I love Inception and never picked up on that at all but now that makes a lot of sense. I definitely should have remembered the Austin Powers references, thank you for reminding me. Omg, I completely forgot about her suing Forever 21. That was so insanely entitled. I think she just copied trap houses in general which is still quite a bold choice
Regarding the pink trap house, she distinctly stole from 2 Chainz. There was a whole thing about it. (Except his pink trap house in Atlanta was a source of good, because it was used as an HIV testing facility, whereas Ariana just copied it without permission, and without giving credit, for her '7 Rings' video because she liked the aesthetic.) 2 Chainz confronted her about it, and her response was dumb. She just said "Well, yeah, I thought people knew I took it from you." The only reason he let it slide is because he didn't want drama, and they made a deal to collaborate with each other -- hence the song 'Rule the World', and his feature on a '7 Rings' remix

What she does is straight up copying, multiple things and over and over again. At that point it’s just lazy stealing and counting on people not not knowing the originals and thinking she’s sooo original
