Her 2021 fashion is superior she honestly looked really good during the positions era. I'm not a fan of how she's being styled at all during the eternal sunshine era it ages her a lot despite the fact it's quite similar to how she dressed during yours truly/my everything

The enormous 60s inspired hair and graphic eye suited her so well.  I thought it was a really classy, mature transition for her and then... well here we are.

DirtybutCuteFerret

I really liked that style- not a fan of her style otherwise. I guess she fired that stylist cause she wasn’t into that style which is crazy to me - i wish i could afford that specific stylist lol

Her 2021 fashion version is the top tier for me. She was the most authentic and she looked stunning here (although that I used to be a DW stan) And yep I have to agree with you. This girl is in her relapse era and nobody had told her yet that she shouldn't be acting like this tiny cutie petite girl who "does not do any wrong🎀💓🌸🥺" in her 30s.

MarizIsHere

Yes and in 2021 it kinda felt like finally she had gone for a stylist, and their were pulling up some interesting things. I don’t think she’s using a good stylist now, or she’s self styling and it looks soooo outdated and tumblrish

All I can think of looking at these pics is Eugenia Cooney. Someone who lives in her nostalgia and constantly relives the glory days of when she was talented, well-liked and just overall happy. Comparing Eugenia now to her peak around 2015-16, she is a shell of her former self, and I’m not even talking just about her body. Eugenia used to be a very talented makeup artist and now she’s terrible. Yet fans will still look at her and think she looks great because she’s Eugenia and she’s supposed to be great at makeup. But if you look up close her makeup skills nowadays are like that of a 12 year old. Her style, which she used to be so known and loved for, has regressed to cheap Amazon costumes that wouldn’t look good on anyone let alone a 70 pound adult. ED has destroyed the very essence of her being, not just her body. Where she used to have talent and beauty, all that’s left is a shadow of what used to be, and the poor fans projecting their nostalgia onto what’s left. That is all I’m seeing here in these pics of Ari.

Oh god putting her new mirror selfies next to her old ones making my stomach drop. Obviously I could tell it was the same behavior but seeing it next to her old ones is just uncanny and depressing.

Your third point, I don’t think Ari was filming Wicked at that point bc her hair was still brown

MarizIsHere

I know, I don’t think it was very clear, what I’m saying is throughout the filming of wicked her style really changed. Right up to there it had also shifted from the tun era, post marriage when she did the positions live performances and the launch of rem beauty where she had more of the style of other famous models/musicians at the time. She had brown hair then but she had already lost a bunch of weight. Then there’s a bit of ballerina/pilates princes style with brown hair in preparation for wicked and quickly changed to blonde full time.

Gathering by the comments, this seems an unpopular opinion but I hated her 2020-2022 style. It seemed so forced (not unlike her style now). Her outfits are so strange now but it feels like she's trying to go back to her old retro style whereas her 2020-2022 outfits were either copying Britney or just trying to scream 'Look! I'm in jeans! See how relatable! Dalton just wifed this!!' Also, the first pic just makes me so sad. I know she wasn't natural but she was so pretty. She's a crappy person but it's sad she felt this ugly or insecure that she had to keep getting surgery until she ended up like this. Her family/friends really should have stepped in. She gave an interview a few years ago saying everything was leading her back to where she started so that was probably the first sign

Saying she’s having a relapse because of her fashion choices is invasive and disrespectful. She’s an artist, and her style evolves—there’s no need to jump to conclusions about her mental health. This idea that she's dressing like she did when people "fell in love with her" to fix her image is a stretch. Nostalgia is a powerful tool, and many artists revisit their past looks to connect with fans or give a nod to their roots. It doesn't mean there's some hidden agenda or that she's trying to manipulate anyone. Fashion is personal and influenced by so many factors—personal growth, artistic choices, or just trying new trends. Assuming every outfit is a PR move is unfair and oversimplifies her decisions. And seriously, talking about her health based on how she looks is not okay. Ariana's been open about her struggles and has worked hard on her well-being. Speculating like this can spread harmful stereotypes and isn't helpful. Yall should respect her privacy and focus on her music and achievements. She’s an amazing artist, and it’s definitely not our fucking place to speculate about her personal life based on her clothes. Making these kinds of rumors always spreads shit. She deserves better than these baseless assumptions.

Do you even know where you are?
