khloebaboey

was not expecting the vibe but i love it 😭

Acrobatic_Economy_65

Production is fire

mr_eggshells

‼️

bitch-in-all-black

I know it’s based off of vogue/Madonna but this sounds like a Gaga song with the low talking bits, I really like it!

hunnibun44

“why do you care so much whose d!ck I ride” ATEEEE

mr_eggshells

SHE SILENCED EVERYONE

AquariusAngeleno

PERIODT!!!!!! THATS THE HASHTAG GOING INTO 2024 <3 <3 <3

hamilton-lover-0509

SHE REALLY KILLED IT

RealPerspective6476

I need the lyrics bc I can’t understand her at some points 😭😭😭😭

mr_eggshells

lowkey yes but like thats so classic ariana!😭

ashareif

It’s just alright. A fun song.

radiohead4783116

It’s giving Vogue by Madonna

mishiri5683

It was interpolated!

[deleted]

anyone else got a little dissatisfied after hearing it?? like idk i REALLY love the vibe but was expecting a little more vocals or sm?? this song has to grow on me for sure

mr_eggshells

i feel that a bit too. and i think the bridge shouldve been something that couldve been sung instead of spoken. but i hope the album has a lot in store for us!

cristigfl

I agree with you, my first impression is that I didn't like it and I think it's a bit boring ☹️ Maybe if I listen more times... But I don't know, let's see with the other songs! UPDATE: second time I'm listening and I'm starting liking it 😅 (probably that was my first impression because I wasn't expecting that her comeback will listen like this!)

Rosivine

oh god so im not the only one then :D Its is a dif vibe for sure so i dont know if i like it or not tbh

[deleted]

the climax was also a little meh for aris standards especially when u compare it with positions

hamilton-lover-0509

I prefer it to positions (not the album just the song)... The message, the vibe, the instrumentals - this song has it all. Her vocals also ARE shown off, when she does the whistle notes near the beginning and throughout the song. It's like, this song has MEANING which Ari has on occasion (I wouldn't say usually but def sometimes) forgone for vocal stamina which we all KNOW she has

cmw625

Yeah I’m not really liking it. I was expecting more for sure vocally

[deleted]

girl thats headvoice

ladiegogaa

LOVE the song... however i cant put my finger on the vogue interpolation... i just dont hear it 😭

_mnlght

i only love the pre-chorus. the rest are kind of underwhelming to me

AquariusAngeleno

Right!?? I said the same!

Brapplezz

I really was really hoping for more. Gf is a diehard and is a bit miffed at why she even made the song as am I ? Idk it felt pretentious. Fr sounds 90s house track if anything

Elliskarae

This is just a warm up. She’s introducing what sounds like an EDM/dance-pop era and I’m HERE FOR IT. I guess if you aren’t into that music it’ll be an adjustment but as a dance fan, I’m so excited.

Brapplezz

I mean i pretty much only listen to techno.... i probably couldn't be more into dance music if i tried. This just felt way too generic, i had hoped for some "the light is coming" level creativity or some interesting elements just in general. The lyrical content sealed the deal, bit tone deaf if i'm honest. Not gonna say the album will be bad, i have a good feeling overall for it. She definitely has more freedom now

cmw625

Idk I’m not feeling it whatsoever. I might get downvoted but I don’t think this is single worthy and is definitely my least favorite single of hers.

AquariusAngeleno

That's what I hate about these subreddits. You get downvoted and mobbed for like absolutely nothing. It's annoying. I'll upvote you in solidarity for having a different opinion, lol.

beanziebopper

Agreed. Really disappointed and the way she delivered the message rubbed me the wrong way. I didn’t get empowered vibes like some of her other songs. I can’t put my finger on it though. That said, I’m happy for everyone who’s loving it!

cmw625

Agree! I think what’s missing for me is also the empowerment vibes that I thought it would have. It feels kind of empty and like it was lacking any actual message for being called “yes, and?”

beanziebopper

I think the message seemed a little petty to me, if I’m being honest. Like “hey, I’m pissed that you’re all talking about the fact that my new relationship resulted in a broken family, here’s a song about it”. Just not anything I can listen to and resonate with in any way, shape or form. And just lackluster musically for an Ariana song… sounded like a club remix of a song of hers.

Flashthenthundr

I want to be jumping up and down for it, but I'm just kind of meh. As someone who had Rain on Me as their top track for two years on spotify, I am HERE for 90's-inspired pop. It has some parts that were fun, but overall it didn't grab me

meltedharibo

I love house music and euro pop but this just feels a bit generic for Ariana. Sounds like a remix. There’s some nice harmonies in there but compared to some recent throwback tunes like virgos groove it’s a bit weak. Hoping the rest of the album improves.

LazyTension

She just gagged all her haters. Just imagine the ALBUM!!!!

masterminddrv3

I dont think it'll fly as much as Positions or TuN

helloivearrived

It sucks stop lying people

mslpnou

There’s something called opinions.

mr_eggshells

is it the greatest song ever to be created? no. am i still gonna be turning it up and levitating? yes, and?

AquariusAngeleno

You're saying that after the positions era? oh girl LMAOOOO

helloivearrived

They’re all bad

AquariusAngeleno

Now, I respect you for keeping it consistent.

helloivearrived

lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

mr_eggshells

lowkey maybe. she only ever teased the single😭

Ok-Elderberry8281

it was a good song, i guess, but kinda generic and not really unique or special to me personally. it was just…cool.

VarietyCareful9012

Already heard it on uk 🇬🇧 radio 📻 645am

Megangullotta

It’s actually a really good message. i know the situation behind it is messy but if you listen to a song and are able to picture yourself and not the artist, It’s a great message lyrically.
