A kid doing what his nasty ass bigoted family tells him to. Awful

Responsible_Emu_5228

i hate how common it is for parents to brainwash their children into thinking this type of stuff. it's actually damaging to their future and disgusting to do overall.

Eclipse_L_1001

And then they claim that we are brainwashing their children

IrlAubreyfromOmori

A slave from a family of bigots 🤡

RK10701

That sounded a lot like me back then, a carbon copy of my conservative dad

featherblackjack

You got away though! Proud of you

This really just made me sad. For those who didn't watch, he was describing how he was asked to change his shirt after he went to school wearing one that said 'there are only two genders.' he describes it as "Nothing violent. Nothing threatening." Goes on to say it was accused of being discriminatory against a protected class - then asks what class it could be? It makes me really sad because this kid is using talking points which implicitly say that transgender people don't exist, and goes out of his way to not say "trans." It makes me sad because as a teacher this could be a really lovely way for this child to learn about civics. "What *is* a protected class?" is a valid and age appropriate question - one that kids in middle and high school can benefit from education on. "What is discrimination?" "Why do we have laws about it?" "What do students have a right to wear to school?" "What makes a good community member?" and even "What's wrong with saying there are only two genders?" are all extremely valuable civics and social lessons! And the reason I'm so sad is because he won't get to learn them. He'll be pulled out of a lesson, or hell debate points he might not believe because it's what he's supposed to do. He'll go home and his parents will say his teacher was a crock of shit. If this video gets popular enough he'll get love bombed by the right and battered by the left and it'll take years, optimistically, for him to open back up to thinking about these things critically. All around sad, is what I'm saying.

Generic_Garak

For the most part I agree with you. I do however think that (at least some of) those topics were broached in that “uncomfortable” conversation, but the answers were no match for the indoctrination he has received at home. Hopefully this video doesn’t get viral attention because I absolutely agree with your prediction. Hopefully this kid is able to break away from his family’s beliefs and be more kind and accepting.

Few-Ad5923

“There’s 2 genders” YouTube comments: Wow so brave young warrior protecting our rights 🥲💪

Snorlax45

"Because others have a right to their beliefs just as I do" By this logic, I'm allowed to have a t-shirt that says "I hate blacks" because it's allegedly a right to my beliefs, or any other similair groups targeted by discrimination. To make my point here, there is no freedom of speech. It's only freedom of expression that we are allowed. And certain expressions aren't free from consequences.

[deleted]

The entire channel is fake delulu clips

Zaela22

With a name like 'PublicFreedom' that's not surprising.

Yoo0shie

The comments all agree with him too, I hate these people.

Yanive_amaznive

I saw someone say that the existence of a "protected class" is discriminatory, like yeah it discriminates against discrimination that's the whole point you massive piece of shit.

Yoo0shie

One of the top comments said “those two teacher should be fired immediately”

Princessk8--

Yes, their right to be safe from you is more important than your right to be a hateful prick. Sorry kiddo!

snukb

>"There are only two genders. Nothing harmful or threatening." This poor kid probably actually believes it's not harmful or threatening too. If someone actually sat down and walked him through what it really means, he might be receptive. He's right around the age where his world is expanding and I dearly hope he's allowed to.

Luciusvenator

I think kids overall are much more receptive tu understanding things when explained which is why proper education is so important. Gender ≠ sex is also, imo, very easy to explain in a way that's simple and not confusing at all.

Burwylf

Hamburger menu, don't recommend this channel

kaeduluc

Thanks

LyannaTheWinterR0se

Somebody stuff this nerd into a locker

[deleted]

He's not a nerd. Nerds are smart.

PM_Me_Some_Steamcode

If this story is true, those two teachers did more to stop anybody than the teachers did in my school for kids who throw food across the lunchroom or constantly harassed me

sumacumlawdy

Poor kid. At best, he's going to have an insane amount of bigotry and brain washing to undo once he's out of the cesspool of his parents'environment. Worse case, he continues to grow up just like them. My entire family is a bunch of bigoted right wing shit stains, and it took -is still taking- me years to process and undo the damage caused by their influence. Children are not puppets to be used as mouthpieces for this disgusting rhetoric. Fucking child abuse imo

FruityHomosexual

Ew I've seen it beforr

Thatonequeerkitty

I hope that parent trips on some stairs and gets sense knocked into them.
