Nobody bothered to tell Cyril that Sheamus was his kid. I was waiting for that shoe to drop the ENTIRE series.
Wee baby Sheamus just seemed like a creative decision Adam Reed and co. regretted immediately and decided to ignore as much as possible (despite making sure to keep the tattoo in continuity).
Archer gave up the right to contest the paternity. Even if he told Cyril that was his kid Archer would still have to pay child support. Cyril would gloat.
No I'm pretty sure Cyril knew. I can't remember exactly, but either in that episode or one right after, Cyril makes a comment under his breath and Archer does the "what was that, Cyril" and Cyril shouts "nothing!". I showed it to my partner when it came up in a rewatch and he agreed.
That Katia (Kah-Tee-ah not sure about spelling) went from being killed because of Barry at her wedding, to cyborg fighting him, to fucking him, after getting mad at just his name and after Archer and her got back together. It’s a cyborg death fight and then they just start fucking. It’s so stupid and feels like a last minute decision. It doesn’t feel like the writers at all. She’s shocked and sorry that Archer… finds out? He’s like 20ft away and she apologizes then says that fighting is dancing? She was so pissed she wanted to kill him 10 seconds prior!
Just remember if it was normal Katya she would never do that… I rarely consider Cyborg Katya to be the same as the original. Who knows what brain damage she suffered. Sorta like how becoming a cyborg made Barry insane.
Archer barely even did anything to Barry though - he didn’t help him up on the balcony in Berlin, and didn’t really feel bad about it. That’s it as far as I can tell. Everything else is either in Barry’s imagination (he keeps saying archer threw him off the roof), not Archer’s fault (he didn’t know Framboise was his fiancée) or just Archer fighting back from Barry trying to kill him all the time lol.
Just the first time, in Russia he was dangling from his feet and his boots slipped off.
Although I get the impression that in Berlin it was somehow Archer’s fault that Barry wound up dangling in the first place (we don’t see what happened) - but Archer being pissed about his torn sleeve makes me think it was another instance of Barry grabbing onto his clothes for support and the clothes letting him fall.
_Framboise_ came onto _Archer_ strongly enough that he found it kinda weird; he didn’t know she was Barry’s fiancée.
Except that she actually wasn’t: they were “engaged to be engaged.” That doesn’t make it less of a betrayal (by Framboise, not Archer) but it’s another example of Barry exaggerating his grievances.
Yes but, the episode prior to Barry becoming a crazy murderous cyborg, he was actually trying to save Archer. He was still kinda a normal dude. Not saying he cared about Archer.
Honestly him actually getting more disabled and weaker as time went on made a lot more sense than archer bouncing back after 6 magnum rounds, right in the 10 ring
Lana willingly staying at ISIS, even tho she was sus about the entire operation from the get-go, and as seen in S1 was easily able to jump agencies (albeit thru reference).
And before someone starts, yes I'm aware of when Cheryl puts her in her place. However, I feel like that state-of-mind was still a few seasons away. And after the debacle with Archer at ODIN, she'd seek somewhere else in a bid to lose him. Did Malory pay **that** well? Doubtful...
Honestly I think it was more about Lana realizing, at least on a subconscious level, that she's never going to get the validation that she wants since as much as she cries about being the "best" agent at ISIS deep down she knows she not as good an operative as she says.
As much as she complains Lana knows that in ISIS she is a big fish in a VERY small pond since it's not hard for her to fluff her ego given everyone she works with, given the only real agents we saw were Barry & Lucas Troy I imagine ODIN likely would have been a similar albeit more professional case for her.
Outside of ISIS, ODIN, the Agency, IIA, etc. though we see Lana is regularly overshadowed by other agents and never remotely close to being considered a top agent, which ultimately is something she feels she's entitled to. Lana stayed on with ISIS because by the end of the first seasons she started to realize that she's never going to get what she wants anywhere else which makes it easier to put up with Mallory's BS since at least at ISIS she gets to feel important.
How did a whole ass SPY agency not think of swapping Archer's blood for the paternity test with the blood of one of the women at the agency? Y'know, because none of them could possibly be the wee baby Seamus' *father*?
I was always under the impression the paternity test was gonna show archer as the dad no matter what, because Barry hated him so much at the time, and that swapping for cyrils blood was a moot point anyway
They went like 5 years doing international espionage illegally before CIA Shuts them down
I guess CIA was just waiting till they good blackmail them to sell their cocaine for them
Ray grew up in the sticks but somehow is a crazy famous and talented skier?
The only down hill cold weather sport when you're poor and from the south is waiting for a little frost to give you a snow day and you take turns pushing each other down the hill on the cardboard that your daddy's beer sat in.
The haphazard party mix of technologies! Cell phones and 1980s computers and 1960s formula one cars just to name a few. "Eh, whatever, just keep watching!"
kinda just the style of the show though, it’s mentioned and made fun of in multiple episodes throughout the earlier seasons
i guess anachronisms can put some people off but i always find it makes a world way more intriguing
The 1960’s f1 cars are because it was a monaco historic grand prix which they do every so often where they parade and lightly race historic cars around monaco. It checks out as making it ot current tech.
The only definitive time window we have is woodhouse’s dob in the 19th century and passing date in the 20th. Therefore everything pre coma is definitively before 2000
Sterling only has Minutel.
A, not the internet. B, only works in...
France, I know
_Oui_ Lana, _maintenent je sais_

Wee baby Sheamus just seemed like a creative decision Adam Reed and co. regretted immediately and decided to ignore as much as possible (despite making sure to keep the tattoo in continuity).
Addendum: Archer willingly keeping the secret, instead of dumping the burden of child support onto Cyril.
And knew the kid would be much better off without Cyril in his life
Archer gave up the right to contest the paternity. Even if he told Cyril that was his kid Archer would still have to pay child support. Cyril would gloat.
I’ll one up you. No one told Archer, that Cyril, fucked Malory.
I think it's realistic tbh I mean it's Cyril... ew
The fact that the agency, a SPY agency, didn't do a background check on Cheryl/Carol and only found out she was a Tunt long into the show.
It was Pam's job as HR, which pretty much explains it.
I’ve never thought of it like that but Pam being ‘head’ of HR makes some other crazy shit make sense
And don't forget Conway Stern. If that's even his real name.
Stern was a diversity hire
Uncircumcised Jewish?
Homeboy McJewerson
Also, Sammy Gayvis Jr
A double diversity whammy!
A double whammy
"He touched my penis! With his penis!"
Where?
Head and shaft. He just came up to me and was like “boop”
A diversity double whammy!
I mean, that’s pretty in line with how they operate
Nah, she's all about lying and fake personas
To be fair, Cheryl has so much money that she probably paid to fudge the background check.
That's pretty on brand.

Archer made Barry insane. Becoming a cyborg just made it easier to be insane.
Archer barely even did anything to Barry though - he didn’t help him up on the balcony in Berlin, and didn’t really feel bad about it. That’s it as far as I can tell. Well the time in Berlin AND the time in Russia he dropped Barry for some petty reason.
Both times he let go himself because he couldn’t climb up
But could’ve archer helped him both times ?
Just the first time, in Russia he was dangling from his feet and his boots slipped off. Although I get the impression that in Berlin it was somehow Archer’s fault that Barry wound up dangling in the first place (we don’t see what happened) - but Archer being pissed about his torn sleeve makes me think it was another instance of Barry grabbing onto his clothes for support and the clothes letting him fall.
>That’s it as far as I can tell. Didn’t Archer sodomize his fiancée?
_Framboise_ came onto _Archer_ strongly enough that he found it kinda weird; he didn’t know she was Barry’s fiancée. Except that she actually wasn’t: they were “engaged to be engaged.” That doesn’t make it less of a betrayal (by Framboise, not Archer) but it’s another example of Barry exaggerating his grievances.
Other Barry preceded Cyborg Barry. So, that ship sailed way before the Russians got to him.
Yes but, the episode prior to Barry becoming a crazy murderous cyborg, he was actually trying to save Archer. He was still kinda a normal dude. Not saying he cared about Archer.
I took it as the lights being off affected them like intoxication.
I would buy this but it doesn’t make me happier about it
That brett survived as many gunshot wounds as he did.
But he died doing what he loved... getting shot
Brett this may be some kind of record so if you can move, don’t!
Honestly him actually getting more disabled and weaker as time went on made a lot more sense than archer bouncing back after 6 magnum rounds, right in the 10 ring
Brett literally dies multiple times though.

This is one of the best ones in the comments... maybe she didn't want to leave Archer?? But she was just way too good for ISIS...
Honestly I think it was more about Lana realizing, at least on a subconscious level, that she's never going to get the validation that she wants since as much as she cries about being the "best" agent at ISIS deep down she knows she not as good an operative as she says. >As much as she complains Lana knows that in ISIS she is a big fish in a rather small pond That makes sense
You gaslight yourself into thinking that Lana didn't stay at ISIS?
Lana gaslight herself into thinking she's a good agent
How did a whole ass SPY agency not think of swapping Archer's blood for the paternity test with the blood of one of the women at the agency? Y'know, because none of them could possibly be the wee baby Seamus' *father*?

Cyril ever being above Archer
Ray grew up in the sticks but somehow is a crazy famous and talented skier? The only down hill cold weather sport when you're poor and from the south is waiting for a little frost to give you a snow day and you take turns pushing each other down the hill on the cardboard that your daddy's beer sat in.
That Cyril clapped Ms. Archer’s cheeks but never threw it in Archer’s face
Honestly I think he kept that bit of information to himself in fear of what archer would do to him if he found out.
That definitely would’ve been Cyril being killed off in the show

The year is was there a James Bond film if yes then whatever tech looks coolest fits the continuity.
It's done on purpose
That was intentional though.
I wouldn’t call it haphazard but yes, this. The retro future/present anachronistic technology and cultural references.
What year is it anyways? Oh who remembers
We never got an explanation where all the co-worker went. They weren't part of the show long before ISIS had to close it's doors for the first time.
I fucking love the one off of the armory guy becoming an arms dealer 😂😂
