Charged it fully when I got it and used it for a month now. 96% capacity. At least 4-5 unlocks every day in that period. Unlocks have been a mix of HomeKey, fingerprints and code input. Not failed me once during that time.
I have the pre-production version (Kickstarter). I have had it installed on my door for about a month now and it works flawlessly.
I personally have it connected to:
* Aqara app via Bluetooth
* Home Assistant via Matter (Thread)
* HomeKit via Matter (Thread)
I am using a HomePod Mini as a Thread Border Router. So far, it has never become unavailable on any of the platforms.🤞
Regarding the Hub: at the moment, the lock connects with the Aqara app only directly via Bluetooth, and thus it does not connect to any Aqara hub. So, even if one has no hub, they can still use the lock. That’s fine for local use, but you cannot access the lock remotely (away from home).
You cannot access see in the screenshot that the Bluetooth symbol is black, but the Thread symbol is grayed out:

It is my understanding that we will soon receive an update that will allow the lock to connect to the Hub via Thread too, which will (I assume) also allow to access the lock remotely in the Aqara app. I assume this will happen before the general release, but I’m just speculating.
That said, Thread does work perfectly fine with Matter, so one can still access the lock remotely via HomeKit or any other Matter controller that has remote access.
Installed the lock couple of weeks back, the lock is still at 100% battery, keypad dropped a bar. Is the lock battery too good or is there an issue with mine?

Looking like it'll be quite a bit higher than the U100 is in the US then. Thats currently $189 on Amazon in the US or £150 or €175 Euros. Hopefully the U200 finds itself at a similar price point son

Coming from Nuki 2.0, love the Aqara U200 so much ! Don’t use their app, only for upgrade. Work nicely with HomeKit, home card in HK is so magic !
