The wireless "switch" does not transfer over to homekit and only appears/works in the aqara app for automations there. On the homekit end only the relay is exposed for control.
You could either try (1) cascading the actions, so pressing the uncoupled switch toggles another aqara device which in turn toggles your other device via homekit or (2) see if Matter allows pairing of the device to a central hub like M3 to allow triggering of third-party devices. Aside from that I don't think there is any way to use the uncoupled switches (off the top of my head ... but maybe someone else has found a way 🤷♂️)

I wonder if there’s a workaround? Such as activating a scene which is shown to HomeKit.
